This was a decent read. It was light and quick to read. The characters were likable and the overall plot was good. I recommend.

Her Texas Renegade is book six in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: Inheritance series. I’d previously read and reviewed Secret Heir Seduction by Reese Ryan which is book four. So, when I started HTR the confusion about the Blackwood inheritance was already settled☹️. After completing book four I couldn’t wait to read about all the backbiting and cattiness that would surely occur between the Blackwood kids and their stepmonster Miranda. Well, I think all that excitement occurred in book five, Too Texan to Tame. I will have to definitely circle back and read the books that I haven’t.

This book is about Miranda Dupree. Miranda is a red haired petite 36 years old entrepreneur and tv reality star. She came from disfunction and was determined to make her dreams come true. At 26 she married into the Blackwood family, but was in love with a hunky 21 year old motorcycle riding hacker named Kai Maddox. Miranda seeks him out because she needs help with security at Blackwood Bank before she turns it over to Vaughn Blackwood. Kai at 31 runs a successful security company called Madtec with his younger brother Dane. After 10 years apart, with hurt feeling on both ends, will Miranda and Kai be able to have a professional working relationship or will old passions take over them?

Read Her Texas Renegade to find out. As I stated above I will definitely pick up the books I haven’t read in this series. Each book is written by a different author. I need answers and would like to spend more time with the Blackwoods.

Joanne Rock’s latest book, Her Texas Renegade is by far the best contemporary romance novella. Inside, I got to meet a couple who get a second chance at their happily ever after. But there is so much pain inside them about their past. They need to work on rebuilding their trust first before they can fully move forward. However, one of them is hesitant to work with the other one. One main reason is that he cant stop thinking about the woman he loved. Still loves her…the attraction is hot, intense, and explosive. Complicated, engaging, and romantic-Her Texas Renegade by Joanne Rock is a must read for all contemporary romance readers. The characters have chemistry, intelligence, and a determination to get what they want.

Joanne Rock knocks it out of the park in this sexy, second chance romance.
Strongly fierce and sharp as a whip, Miranda, has to work with her ex-flame, Kai, when she needs a security expert to keep her incredibly successful business safe. She wants the best and Kai is second to none when it comes to cyber-security, but they have an extremely hard time keeping it business only and thank goodness they don’t because their chemistry is fantastic.
Crank up the AC because this is one sexy, fun read.

The Texas Cattleman’s Club: Inheritance series kicked off with Tempting the Texan by Maureen Child. The series revolved around the children of Buck Blackwood and their quest to contest their father’s will after he died and left his vast billion-dollar fortune to his younger, ex-wife Miranda Dupree. However, things were not as they appeared. The past five months have found Miranda following Buck’s requests as set out in a series of letters to her. Buck wasn't an easy man to get along with. He wasn't a very good father or husband, however, he did love his children and ex-wives. In his death, Buck wanted to make sure that his children were taken care of, grew as individuals, and were on the right path so they wouldn't turn out as he did. When all of that was taken care of, the true contents of the will were revealed in Too Texan to Tame written by Janice Maynard. That story also revealed that something strange was happening with Blackwood Bank and Miranda was very concerned about it. So much so that she tracked down her ex-boyfriend, Kai Maddox.

Ten years ago, Miranda and Kai had a whirlwind romance. Six years her junior, Kai understood Miranda like no one else did. The two spent hours talking and dreaming of having and making a better life for themselves. Miranda wanted to expose the world to yoga and Kai wanted to excel at cybersecurity. During the same time, Miranda met Buck and well...she achieved everything she wanted.

The ten years since Miranda broke his heart have been both good and bad for Kai. He introduced his younger brother, Dane, to the life of being a hacker and watched in horror and disbelief while he went to prison for something Kai should have done. Kai and Dane have since co-founded the cybersecurity firm MadTec and found ways to give back to the small community that helped them when they needed it the most. Miranda's business proposition is what the Maddox brothers need to finally show the security world that their business is legitimate. Too bad Kai doesn't want to be involved with Miranda on a business or personal level. But cooler and wiser heads prevail.

While Kai and his team work on the Blackwood Bank problem, Kai finds himself back in Miranda's bed. To both of their surprise, the attraction and passion they once shared is stronger than ever.

I loved Her Texas Renegade. Miranda has been one of my favorite characters since the beginning of the series. This story allows you a look into her past to see the woman she truly is. I love that Joanne Rock stripped these characters down so that you could really get to know them. Watching Miranda and Kai overcome the issues with their past and fall in love again was great. Her Texas Renegade flowed smoothly, with a small amount of conflict. A few of the past series characters make an appearance or two, and you get nice little updates on them. Joanne really ended this series nicely. She's a new to me author and I'm really looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

This was such a fitting conclusion to this particular Texas Cattleman's Club saga - all the siblings found love and finally the step mom they once hated but now adore has gotten her (second) chance at love too! I truly enjoyed Miranda as a character, she was determined, intelligent, yet vulnerable in a very real and relatable way. I also liked Kai as a counterpart for her and that they both had to get out of their own ways and let go of the past to reconnect fully. I've enjoyed the other Joanne Rock books I've read and I will continue to snap them up as they come out! 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

When Miranda’s ex-husband passed away, he left her the entire estate as part of a bigger plan which only ensured that her adult step-children hated her more. Over time she has managed to repair the relationships with them and returned their inheritances to them with only one business remaining which is the Blackwood Bank. Before that happens, she wants to increase the security protection and who better for the job than Kai, the man she loved and has never forgotten.

Kai and his brother are former hackers who are now partners in their own company. When Miranda wants to hire him his first impulse is to refuse until he realizes that it is only hurting his business. As they spend time together the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever, but will they be able to overcome the misunderstandings of the past so that they can have a future together?

I really enjoyed Miranda and Kai together as they are both strong and successful in their own rights and the only thing missing from their lives is each other.

I came late to the story I did not know when I requested that this was part of a series and apparently the last one, so I know I am missing alot. So I met Miranda Dupree, in this one and she is a widow and much liked except for her step-children. She ends up getting reacquainted with her ex love whom she has not seen in forever. Kia is now a rich woman but when she had lost in contact with her past she was a hacker./waitress, but now they meet both in very different circumstances, will they reconnect and change their outcome? we shall see.

The sixth —and last— installment of the Texas Cattleman’s Club: Inheritance series was a very expected one. At least, for me it was so expected that I feared a big disappointment with it. It’s Miranda’s story, after all.

Since the beginning of the book you can fell the passion and chemistry they have, and Kai and Miranda both know they had to do something with it.

Together, they’re hot, the burning-pages type. But they also have the same determination to be better than their origins. They have goals and aspirations, even though they have exceeded their goals. Also, they share similar backgrounds. They try not to let everybody behind their ironed exterior. And their love is complicated and totally credible.

This book is more than I expected, and I’m sad this series finally came to an end. The ending of this book is spectacular. And it had an epilogue (one week later but a decent epilogue and that’s what really matters)!! I’m not the loving series type, but there are a few I follow, and the TCC franchise got me since the beginning, I have to be honest. And the authors did a impeccable job maintaining its high standards no matter how many years the franchise has.

As for Ms. Rock, this book is an example why we Harlequin Desire Readers love ranchers to infinity and beyond. Great finale for a great series.
