"Feelings" is the sweetest book that little ones will adore. It is an interactive life-the-flap book about emotions presented in two languages... English and Spanish! I love the big bold illustrations and the vibrant bright colours of the backgrounds that make the adorable characters pop out. They are kid-friendly and perfect for that age group.

At the beginning of the book kids will find a "This book belongs to" page that will personalize it and bring ownership to this little gem. The author has included translations of the featured emotions in two languages which is a wonderful way to introduce another language to your child. This book is one of a series. The entire collection is stellar and I understand exactly why it was nominated for an Emmy.

The vocabulary is simple, the illustrations are spot-on. I highly recommend this book ( and the whole series ) and encourage it to be added to your board book collection.

When my kids and I are watching Nick Jr, we get to watch Canticos nursery rhymes. You know the ones - they are the nursery rhymes that are sung in both English and Spanish with the 3 little chicks and their friends. My son's personal favorite is The Wheels On the Bus.

In addition to adorable music videos, there are bilingual picture books from Canticos that help kids learn both English and Spanish words. We have 2 favorites that my kids love, and they were so excited to hear that a new book will be out NEXT WEEK about feelings!

Feelings are a big topic in our family lately with the littles. Our 6 year old understands feelings, but is now seeing them outside of her house as she navigates school. Meanwhile, our 3 year old is learning how to express his feelings by using his words rather than just different shouts and screams.

Enter this book - this is a little bit different in that it is a lift-the-flap book, where it encourages the kids to show that they know what each feeling/emotion means. And there are quite a few emotions we went through!

Now when my son starts to yell, it's easier for him to verbally tell me what emotion is going through him. And now he loves to also act it out just like this book showed him how to!

I love how even in the digital version of this book, the reader gets to experience the flaps being lifted. I thoroughly enjoyed this bilingual and interactive lift-the-flap book about feelings. I also like how colors were incorporated for each feeling.

"Feelings" by Susie Jaramillo is a sweet bilingual board book about emotions. I enjoyed for the content and the beautiful illustrations.

The board book features multiple emotions and names then English and Spanish. The flip/flap side of the book asks what the emotion would like it, in both languages, a great feature as it makes reading time play time as well. While reading the child thinks about what "sad" or "mad" means to them or even more complex emotions such as "surprise" and "shy". My only comment on this is that my ebook had the "brave " flip flap question was upside down.

The illustrations were well done and endearing, I love how animated the little animals and characters were. My daughter also thought they were "cute!". Also the colors matched the emotions perfectly, enhancing the tone that the illustrations were trying to convey.

A great teaching source for parents hoping to introduce another language to young children. I've read quite a few of these to my kids even though they're a little older, but they still enjoy attempting another language. This came in the form of a flip book and would be super fun for young children. It was also a great way for young children to learn about their feelings also. A super simple book on feelings, great illustrations to keep children interested, and a great concept to introduce children to another language. I would definitely recommend this to parents of young children!

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Could this book be any cuter?! Perfect baby board book for any child! The artwork is just adorable and the flip-ups are spot-on for each feeling! I really like that it's in English and Spanish. The best time for someone to learn a new language is when they are young!

Loved this adorable book! It may be small with few words, but it is full of conversation starters. A parent will be able to help their little one learn about reading facial expressions. There are many adults who cannot do that. Also a little familiarity with another language is always a good thing. This book is a great example of how a book can help solidify the intimate relationship between parent (guardian) and child.
I received an advanced reader copy for free from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Learning about emotions and feelings is so important for toddler development. This book provides an excellent, bilingual, resource for parents to engage in a conversation about how different emotions may look or feel. The illustrations are bright and colorful, the Spanish translations are accurate, and it has flaps! I also love that there are tons of companion resources offered by the publisher, such as a youtube channel, an app, and printable activities on their website. I am a fan of everything Encantos Media puts out and so are my children!

Simple vocabulary combined with emotions and in a bilingual format?! This is a pretty sure bet for my library.

For Libraries: This will be a great fit for any board book collection.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this board book! I love the Little Chickes! I have a 3-year-old son and when he watches Nick Jr. and they come on I always stop whatever I am doing to watch their little skit and sing along! This book was adorable and I will definitely get my hands on a physical copy when I can! This board book accurately showed the different feelings! Thank you again to NetGalley!

This is an adorable flap book for infants and toddlers. Each page has a feeling word in English and Spanish, on the opposite page a wonderful picture of a character, and once you lift the flap the characters' faces express the feeling. There is a short sentence or question in English and Spanish on the inside of the flap about each picture.

I love introducing young children and children with disabilities to books that have flaps, simple words, and beautiful pictures. This book checks all the boxes! I love that it is in English and Spanish for bilingual children or for parents who want to introduce their children to another language.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received an electronic ARC from Encantos Media Studios through NetGalley.
Delightful board book that offers an emotions word on each page spread (happy, sad, excited, angry, etc.) in both English and Spanish. Then young readers can lift the flap and see the animal show that emotion along with a challenge for them to show it as well.
The simple illustrations capture the emotions on each page. Families can read this together and have fun making faces that show the emotions. The language is simple to follow in both languages.

Bilingual board book. This book teaches vocabulary for feelings in both English and Spanish. It goes beyond the basic translation of each emotion by having a flap to life that asks what that feeling looks like (or can you show me a ___ face). The interactive aspect of the flap will make it more fun for young children and the added phrases will make it more interactive on the reader as well, after all can you read "can you show me a happy face" without making an exaggerated smile? Effective at teaching vocabulary while also visually appealing and fun.

This is a beautifully illustrated book which helps young children to communicate their feelings. My little boy is 4 so a little older than the target audience but he still really enjoyed reading it with me and demonstrating his feelings.
We also enjoyed learning the Spanish translations of the different feelings.

Thank you to NetGalley and Encantos Media Studios for my ARC.
