This is a sweet heartwarming story. It is well written and the author makes the book come to life with her words. If you are looking for a "feel good" book, grab this one. It was an absolute joy to read, I hated to see it end. Thank you Kensington Books/Zebra via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

This sweet book will give you the perfect all of the feel good emotions You laugh, cry and sometimes you'll "hear" Lizzie's thoughts even though you really can't. Some will make you snicker too!
Lizzie is tender hearted. Especially with animals of all kinds. I claim her as my heroine. She's a lot like me who wears her heart on her sleeve like I do. We also have another thing in common.
Lizzie reminds me of a friend of mine taking in animals like that.
I love this author a lot and she always puts out wonderful stories like this one. She has a way of drawing you into her stories from the beginning and the book will not let you go until it is finished. They will leave you full and satisfied.
I love Amish stories in particular because of the beautiful inspirational messages. The author really does a nice job with these.
I especially loved the friendships that were formed because of mutual interets. God has a way of doing that doesn't he?
I highly recommend this sweet book. It's a fun, clean and sometimes it will make you laugh. I think we all need a laugh in times like these don't you?
My thanks to Netgalley and Kensington publishers for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review and all opinions are my own

One story that mixes the love of animals into humor and a few surprises mixed in between. The characters had me laughing, shouting and maybe a tear or two. I highly recommend this book if you are wanting to read Amish fiction.

Lizzie's character is so sweet, upbeat and refreshing. I loved the way the author allowed readers to hear what Lizzie was really thinking and wanting to say. I thought the idea of Stephen not giving Lizzie his name was annoying and made no sense. I loved Stephen's mother; her sensible, loving outlook. It was interesting to learn some of the differences between the Amish and Mennonites. Enjoyable! Recommended!

This is my first book by this author, and it won’t be my last. It really did have all the feels. You will laugh and cry, and get frustrated. Lizzie’s Heart was incredible!

Lizzie, as described, is good hearted and impulsive. I often chuckled at what she thought but didn’t say, yet the things she did say really made me laugh. And Stephen is a real gem for a damsel in distress. Throw in kittens and puppies and this is a wonderful, heart warming story that I’ll read again. Here’s hoping for a book 2!

I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.

Lizzie's Heart is a clean, wonderful story of Lizzie, an Amish girl with a love for animals, and Stephen a Mennonite, who meet while rescuing kittens from a burning building. That might have been all of their friendship, since they live some distance away, but Stephen's mother wants to learn weaving, which, Lizzie happens to excel at. She begins teaching Stephen's mother, and while doing so, their relationship grows and deepens. It's a wonderful, decent story I enjoyed reading!

Lizzie is such a likable character and so easy to relate too. Kind, brave, has a heart for animals and a knack for putting her foot in her mouth. The author sets a beautiful scene between two different Plain worlds and how love brings both together. Such a sweet love story about being true to ones self and waiting on God's prefect timing.

This is an absolutely fantastic read. I really enjoyed it. Lizzie and Stephen are amazing characters and the story is irresistible. I’ll say again, I never really thought I would like Amish books. It’s not that I don’t like the Amish, I do, but I just never thought it would be something I would like to read, I was so wrong. I fell in love from page one. It has romance, humor and even a little bit of mystery. The characters are strong and realistic and when you add in the kittens and Stephens puppies,.itt can’t miss. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a feel good story that will make you laugh. Susan Lantz Simpson is a wonderful storyteller and I can’t wait to read her other books.

Such a sweet story! The characters are relatable and the love story is unexpected. I love the character development and the sarcasm that Lizzie has in her communication with others, I also enjoyed reading what she was “really thinking” but not saying out loud,...unless she couldn’t hold her tongue. Haha.!

Lizzie is a tirelessly chipper animal loving Amish girl who meets a guy with far more in common with her than they both realize...except for one major difference they must find a way to overcome. I loved Lizzie. I didn't always love some of her supporting characters, but the explanations for their difficult behavior is explained as the story goes on. It is an easy, enjoyable read. I was given a copy of Lizzie's Heart from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to give a positive one, but I found this book entertaining enough to seek out some of Susan Lantz Simpson's previous books.

I found this book to be very uplifting and fun to read at a difficult period. The characters are fun and warm . I feel like they are someone I could go and in the community and meet. Though , for the first chapter or two, I wasn't sure I really wanted to continue to read the book, boy I am so glad I continued.. I love that Lizzie was so upbeat especially with her sister who seemed to really not like people. Stephan, the other main character has a similar brother., Seth. Lizzie and Stephen try to match make and get their siblings together. I will leave the outcome to the readers. I do so hope the author plans on a follow up so as to find out what happens with the siblings.

A sweet Amish romance. Lizzie is a 20 year old, and an expert at the loom. When she goes to help tutor Mary on how to weave she meets up with Stephen, Mary's son. Sparks fly, but both are hesitant. He is Mennonite and she is Amish. Really enjoyed this one, and loved the animals too. Hard to put down. Highly recommend.

This is the first book I have read from this author, Susan Lantz Simpson. Honestly when I first started reading it, I had a difficult time getting into it. I am really glad that I kept reading & didn't quit. As the book progressed, I was able to engage with the characters more & I actually couldn't wait to see how it ended. Lizzie is an animal lover who finds a friend and eventually more in another animal lover, Stephen. The progression of their friendship starts out somewhat slow & drawn out but again as the book progressed, I felt like the story became more believable and I wanted to see how their relationship evolved. Lizzie's family dynamic is somewhat different than what I have seen in other authors of this genre write about so that was somewhat intriguing also. Her mom & sister, Frannie, are portrayed as somewhat negative people. As Stephen & Lizzie become friends, Lizzie becomes more and more ingrained in his family life, especially with his mother, Mary, who is a warm & inviting character in the story. I really liked the book once I was able to get into it but again the beginning with the fire seemed somewhat drawn out.

I was given a complimentary coy of this book by the publisher & Net Galley. In return I gave an honest & unbiased opinion. I would recommend this book!
