A beautiful love story filled with hope and laced with so much love!

Maya and Cameron’s story started out with so much love! I was bursting with emotion but as quickly as they fell for one another their love ended just as quickly, or so they thought!

The bulk of the story takes place years later when fate puts them together in the same city for the first time in 5 years! Now with a fresh start and another chance it’s up to Maya to decide if she is in it for the long run this time!

The characters were well built and had an amazing chemistry. The storyline moved forward gracefully. The angst was real and you could feel it in your gut as they tried to fight their feelings. Maya was adamant that she didn’t want to feel anymore pain because of her love for him and put up thick walls all around her. Cameron didn’t want to let her go a second time. Their passion is explosive and seeing the back and forth between them was amazing. I just loved their banter and how easily their bodies remembered each other. My emotions were all over the place and the plot had a mystery to it I craved to unravel. A heart stopping read.

Unfortunately, this book was unable to hold my interest. I have enjoyed other books but this author, but this one wasn't for me.

This was definitely an "all nighter" for me. Great characters, emotional roller coaster ride and twists and turns await you in On My Knees! On to complete the series!

Complementary copy given for honest review and opinion.
This book was filled with lots of steamy scenes but I did not feel like Meredith Wild built up Cam’s character enough. It was almost like he was a second to Maya. Great writing style but I just didn’t feel connected to this book.

Thought it was good but not what I usually read. Alot of steamy scenes which I like. Over all a very good book. Really like the authors writing style and how everything came together.

On My Knees is a second-chance novel that deals with addiction, abandonment, and true love. I was truly looking forward to the story based on the description, but I just couldn't believe in Maya and Cameron's love when so much was lacking. Maya is well-developed, for the most part likable, and wildly self-centered in her maturity and way that she handles life and its inevitable struggles. Cameron is a relatively flat character that is playing off of Maya rather than being a fully developed character who matches her level of vitality. He is incredibly understanding, likable, handsome, and gives of himself in ways Maya isn't able to. However, the premise of their relationship tells me that he has never challenged Maya or truly shared a deep meaningful relationship with her. While they said they "loved" each other in college, enough so that he would ask her to marry him, they had never shared any deep/intimate/darker secrets with each other, to include ZERO details about Maya's family or the struggles she faced emotionally and Cameron never shared his issues with his parents, why he joined the military, or later, about his PTSD...which had a super short one scene popup. I loved the concept and potential of the story but feel the book confused extreme lust and physical attraction with love and had some serious victim mentality/selfish tendencies that I didn't find attractive or relatable. I won't be reading the next book in the series but thank you for letting me read the book and for the complimentary copy.

This was an absurdly real read that had a great vibe to it. Second chance romance anyone? Yes, we know Maya could be resistant to marrying Cameron but hey only fools rush in.

What did I like? Despite the real feeling factor you could positively see the love Cam had for Maya, and it felt great. What is so good about second chances is that hopefully you don’t make the same mistakes... your older... your wiser, you’ve honestly had time to be without the person. So either right the wrong and bite the bullet, or give up and move on. I was not a hacker fan so this series surprised me.

Would I recommend or buy? Yes, great series. I hope the series is getting a reboot or maybe it’s all finished. I’m curious about the rest of the siblings. I really enjoyed the book and read it in one sitting.

Thoughts for the author? Congratulations, and what a good book. Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and this is my opinion. Loved it ...five stars.

On My Knees is hot, steamy, and a whirl wind of seduction. I love how Meredith Wild knows how to take me to another place when I read her book. This book had everything I didn't know I needed. Loved it!

3.5 stars

I am mixed on this book. I am not one to listen to reviews generally but in this case, I wish that I would have listened a little more when people said that the heroine would push me to my limits. I am not sure that I have ever wanted to shake a character as much as I did with Maya.

That being said, this book had promise. I Loved Cameron. He needs a medal for patience because I am not sure I would have had it in me to go through what he did to finally get Maya to the point of realizing that love is not a bad thing, nor was it something to hate. They both were guilty of miscommunication. I think I could have loved the book more if the constant push and pull/ hot and cold thing that was Maya didn't happen so much. Instead, I would have liked to watch them learn and grow instead of having something fester and poison for so long before love had the chance to prevail.

This is a second chance romance from Meredith Wild. Cam and Maya were college sweethearts. They broke up when Cam returned from military leave and proposed. Maya wasn't quite ready for such a big step and Cam left. Flash forward five years and the two are reunited in New York City. Cam is a gym owner and Maya works on Wall Street. Maya is a hot, hot mess. Her family issues have left her with serious self-doubts and she copes by smoking and drinking too much. Cam is ready to pick up where they left off but Maya still can't commit.

There was really good chemistry between Cam and Maya. But, Maya's emotional issues are exhausting and start to drag down the reader. There is a HEA at the end of the book but it is going to be an uphill battle for Cam to deal with all her baggage.

***I want to thank Waterhouse Press and Netgalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review***

On your knees is very different from the Hardwired series (which was the first books that i read of this author). Cameron and Maya go through such a emotional journey in this book. They meet after being separated for years. Being away for such along time has brought changes in both their lives. In this book they rediscover each other. Cameron was very patient with Maya and in the end they made it work. I loved the way they handle each other and the ending was perfect.

On My Knees by Meredith Wild is the First book in the Bridge Series. This is the story of Cameron Bridge and Maya Jacobs.
Cameron had asked Maya to marry him but she turned him down which of course broke his heart. But it also broke Maya's heart too because she didn't feel she could marry him due to her family issues. Now about 5 years later they happen to meet again by chance bring their feelings full force again. This was a good second chance at love.

I enjoyed this story up until the end. I’ve read a number of other books by this author and always like the angst. And this one followed in suit but then, even though we all know what is eventually going to happen, it wraps up really abruptly and seemed not to fit. Liked the story but the way the ending was done left me disappointed because I think it could have been better.

Unlikeable characters, undeveloped story that lacks tension and feeling. Simply writing words of emotion does not equate to creating emotion. Where On My Knees does shine is in the bedroom, but even here it is veers to predictable and unimaginative end. Disappointing.

I was hooked into this story and just couldn't put this book down at all.
I love this story so much that as soon as I finished reading the galley I went and bought a physical copy of this book so that I can have it in my book collection and read it again in the near future.

I highly recommend

You can't help but be enthralled by scenes, the scenes, the passion. The suspense keeps the pages turning.
