This was a decent read. It was light and quick to read. The characters were likable and the overall plot was good. I recommend.

Raw emotions, true connections, fragile future plans, turmoil in the soul from the past, and growing faith and trust in God's guidance... All the feels hit home in this heartfelt story of reunited teenage sweethearts who have faced more hardship than most in their lifetimes.
A secret baby is not my favorite type of tale yet here it is done in a delicate, different way with a twist that I came to respect the decisions as the story unfolded.
I admired the maturity of Addie Ricci and Evan Hawke, as they are reunited and working together to fix the B&B. Evan's relationship with Addie's little boy was adorable, that cute little kid stealing my heart as well.
There is so much both Addie and Evan have had to deal with. The struggles are real, the pain at times palpable, the growth and development of their hearts, minds, faith, and souls is a beautiful journey to be witnessing. The way the author has imbedded the faith the protagonists have in God is done in a natural, lifelike matter, it was easy to relate to.
It is only after everything else from the past is resolved that Addie and Evan can have a chance for a future together, and the heartache of the road to peace of mind and joy of the soul brought tears to my eyes.
An adorable, deeply-felt tale of love, life, faith, and family

A mountain country town is the setting for the fourth story in the Colorado Grooms series. Addie Ricci is restoring an old family B&B in the town of Westbend, Colorado, and her two-year-old son may be a blessing but is a serious inconvenience when sanders, chemicals, and paint are involved. No way she can get everything done in time. HER HIDDEN HOPE turns out to be the unexpected arrival of Evan Hawke.

Colorado seems like a generous, larger than life place, where weather and time chew away at woodwork, and much friendly effort goes into keeping buildings in good shape. Evan is home briefly to patch up and sell his late mother’s house. He is surprised to meet his high-school girlfriend, the lovely Addie, now twenty-six, divorced, and starting her business. Their parents split them up a decade ago, right after bull-rider Evan lost a foot. They lost touch in the aftermath and now have a chance to reconnect over shared redecorating. But Addie has a secret Evan doesn’t know about, and she’s got to live in agony over telling or not telling.

Quite a few bouncy characters fill the pages. Addie Ricci is Filipina-American, and even though it’s not alluded to in the story, her parents might have been more worried for her than if she wasn’t from a minority background. They brought her up as best they could, to be hardworking and consider others, but were also extremely strict and expected obedience. This doesn’t always pay. Addie is clearly devoted to her son, Sawyer, making up for his dropout dad who doesn’t grace the pages. She’s a credit to her town – but just once I’d like to see the absent father made to contribute to the child’s keep. A young woman should not have to do all this herself. And Sawyer keeps his mom on her toes as he gets into everything.

A gorgeous addition is the Golden Retriever on the cover, Evan’s dog Belay, who didn’t make the grade as a guide dog but has the instinct to care for her partly-disabled person. I also love the local mechanic Charlie, who shares business tips with her friends. Author Jill Lynn refers to other series characters, so readers may be interested in seeing how they’re getting on. If you’re a new reader, just enjoy this heart-warming story of choices made and not made, of bad days overcome and new beginnings. HER HIDDEN HOPE is a family-friendly summer read for everyone who loves romance.

I didn’t realize this was from a series, but that didn’t make me enjoy it any less. Addie was a heroine who ran away with my heart right away. She’s a single mom with a toddler son named Sawyer and she’s come back to the town she used to summer in, to reopen the bed and breakfast her family used to run. The interim owners left it partially updated when they were foreclosed on and, she’s got a lot to do to renovate before opening, which has a strict deadline because she needs income.

Enter Evan, her high-school first love, first boyfriend, and first major life mistake. He’s back in town to settle his mother’s affairs and he runs across her at the store. Before he knows it, he’s volunteering to help her at the B&B and spending time with her and her son. His sweet dog, Belay, is soon stealing the show and Sawyer’s affections. But there’s more to their shared history than Evan knows and Addie has to clear up history before their love stands a chance...

Really well done contemporary romance.

What a pleasant way to spend a day reading! This is a short, quick read about two people who went different ways with their lives and are now back in their hometown at the same time. Evan Hawke is repairing his mom’s house so that he and his brother can sell it. Addie is renovating her Tito and Tita’a old B&B so that she can establish a future for herself and her small son Sawyer. With a tight budget and not much know how about fixing things, it is a natural progression for her old boyfriend Evan to offer to help Addie get her place ready for the big grand re-opening. The response of Sawyer to Evan was immediate and endearing. Of course, there is no mystery here about what should happen between the two. The difficulty lies in the terrible secret that Addie is keeping hidden from Evan, a problem so soul-wrenching that it may tear the two apart again before they can really get together. I loved the interaction between Evan and Sawyer and how natural it was. I also enjoyed Sawyer’s precocious antics as he squirmed his way into Evan’s heart and played with Evan’s dog Belay as if they were best friends. The whole story was just a feel-good story, with a definite conflict that had to be resolved. With a theme of forgiveness and redemption, it is the perfect tale to read to offer feelings of hope and joy. Fans of light romance with a Christian perspective will definitely enjoy this book!

Addie Ricci is under a time constraint when it comes to renovating her family's B and B in Colorado. She is limited as to what help she can get, so when her high school sweetheart Evan Hawke agrees to lend a hand, Addie's heart is soon on the line. If not for a secret that could deter any promise of a future, Addie and Evan could possibly have another chance.

Both Addie and Evan had been dealt a bad hand in life, circumstances that have caused a lot of unhappiness. Addie has found her own happiness in a way, and that is with her young son Sawyer. However, something happened while they were teens and it is something she is more than reticent to share with Evan. With Evan, he suffered a truly painful loss as a teen. It took him a long time to recover but he has made a fine life for himself.

For Evan and Addie to be able to move forward together, the pair must be able to forgive themselves - and each other. With Sawyer along for the ride, it is an incredibly sweet journey. Her Hidden Hope is the fourth book in the Colorado Grooms series, but it was an easy read as a standalone. I am someone who enjoys series, and so when time permits, I would love to go back and read the prior stories, and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series, Raising Honor, scheduled for release in July.

Many thanks to Love Inspired and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

A well-told and executed tale. I enjoyed the characters and the message. Everything was handled well and realistically, which is not always the case with faith-based fiction. Well done!

I feel I'm beginning to get hooked on Harlequin Love Inspired romances as this is not the first one I've had the pleasure of revieweing.

In Her Hidden Hope, Addie and Evan have a past and when they have a chance meeting one day years after the event while at the hardware store, Evan cannot believe his eyes.

Addie is now a single mother to her 2 year old son and they are renovating their home. Evan is back in town to renovate his mother's house shortly after her death and they find themselves helping each other out in more ways than one......

But, Addie has a secret.

Jill Lynn creates a cosy, sweet clean romance and a plot that is filled with love, honesty hope and risks to all the utterly endearing characters. Each one is true-to life. There's even a loveable and gentle dog.

Her Hidden Hope is a must for being escapist and had me hooked. It is short and a great way to relax.

5 stars.

Thanks to Jill Lynn and Harlequin Love Inspired for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Title: Her Hidden Hope
Author: Jill Lynn
Genre: Romance, Christian
Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Asking for forgiveness is the hardest part. She once trusted him with her heart…but will she ever trust him with the truth?

With only two weeks to renovate her family’s Colorado B and B, struggling single mom Addie Ricci can’t turn away help. Especially not when it’s her handsome high school sweetheart, Evan Hawke, who’s offering to pitch in. As they repair the B and B, Addie and Evan also begin rebuilding their relationship…until a secret from their past threatens to bring it all crashing down.

I enjoyed this so much! Addie and Evan are struggling with so much pain and hurt from their past, but they learn to trust each other again and move past the mistakes and secrets they’ve hidden for so long. I love inspirational romances, but sometimes the faith feels like it’s shoehorned in. That’s not the case here. The faith aspect feels like a natural part of these characters, and it’s wonderful to see Addie learn and grow as she and Evan get to know each other all over again.

Jill Lynn is an ACFW Carol Award-winning author and has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Bethel University. Her Hidden Hope is her newest novel,

A Secret May Derail a Second Chance

Addie and Evan were high school sweet hearts. Now ten years later they’re back in the small Colorado town where they grew up. Addie has been married and divorced. She has a two-year-old son, Sawyer, who is quite a handful. She’s trying to renovate the B and B her family once owned, but it’s more of a challenge than she realized.

Evan is back to renovate his mother’s house so he and his brother can put it on the market. When he meets Addie at the hardware store old memories flood back and he offers to help her with the B and B. Addie accepts the help and working together the old closeness returns, but she has a secret. If she shares what happened in the past, she fears she may lose Evan again.

This is a lovely story to just curl up with and enjoy. Addie and Evan are likable characters. You can’t help rooting for them. Sawyer, however, steals the show. He’s a perfect counterpoint to the rush of feelings experienced by his elders.

The book is number four in the Colorado Grooms series. However, the author fills in the backstory without letting it overwhelm the present. If you want an easy read with characters you’ll enjoy getting to know, this is a good one.

Thank you again so much to Harlequin Trade Publishing for sending this book my way. I am not an expert in Christian Romance novels and I believe this may be my second or third one, but I’m glad that I get a chance to read about how religion could play a part in a romance novel like this.

All in all, while I am not much of a religious person anymore, I feel like the message that I got while reading this novel made me feel happy and hopeful. I like that it didn’t seem like it was preachy or made people feel guilty for not having a strong relationship with God. There’s always the worry that books that have religion involved will do that, but this one didn’t.

Her Hidden Hope is my first experience with Jill Lynn, but it won't be my last. This is the fourth book in the Colorado Grooms series, but as a newbie to the series and the author, I didn't have any problem following the storyline, and as far as I can tell, this one is a standalone. The book is well-written with a steady pace, the characters are developed and likable, and the story is full of emotion. The feels run the gamut with this couple, and I really like how the author brings it all together for an inspirational, hopeful conclusion. Any time I can find characters that feel this real and a story I can get lost in, I'm all for it, and this is one of those stories from start to finish.

Addie has come back home with her two year old son to renovate a B&B once owned by her family. She is starting a new life after her divorce and is hoping she didn’t take on more than she can handle on her limited budget.

Evan is back in the small Colorado town fixing up his mother’s house to put it on the market. He has so many memories here and they come all come front and center when he runs into his high school girlfriend Addie in the hardware store.

Evan offers to help Addie renovate the B&B and is convinced he can keep his old feelings buried where she is concerned. Addie is wrestling with the fact that she has something she must confess to Evan, but she is convinced that when she bears her secret, she will lose Evan for good.

This was such a sweet story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn’t know that it was a spin off of a previous series, but I had no problem catching up on the backstory of Evan’s family. I loved the easy friendship between the characters and how they both were coping with past hurts and mistakes but conquered them together. A perfect book to curl up with on a rain spring day. Thank you so much to the author Jill Lynn, Harlequin and NetGalley for an advanced copy to read and review.

Addie Ricci returns with her young son to renovate and re-open her aunt's bed and breakfast before the town's biggest annual festival. Addie is over her head and can't turn away any help that comes her way, even if it's from her old high school flame, Evan Hawke.

It took Evan a while to pull himself up after his life altering accident, but now he is passionate about helping others, and encouraging them to challenge themselves and never stop adventuring. He offers his helps to Addie, and as they work together old sparks begin to stir.

But will a secret from the past keep them apart?

An engaging small town romance, with themes of forgiveness and rekindled love. I love the supportive friends and family that encourage Addie and Evan through everything, like Jace and Charlie. Both Addie and Evan have had to overcome a lot in life to get to where they are, and I admired them for that.

Sawyer is an adorable young man, very open and friendly he takes to him new surroundings and friends right away, I loved him and Evan together.

Overall, heartwarming romance, though part of a series it stands well on it's own. I loved the adorable dogs and the beautiful Colorado small town.
