I enjoy watching Pete Hegseth on Fox News so I asked for an advanced copy of his book. This is a look at the 2016 election of Donald Trump and his win over Hillary Clinton. He looks at political views and interviews voters to see if Trump's win was a mandate for change or a vote against Hillary Clinton. It is a fun read covering a serious subject. He writes with understanding of politics and the beltway mentality. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

If you are conservative, this is an enjoyable book that lays out the current issues with America. It details the differences among conservatives, democrats, and leftists.

Thought-provoking, insightful and well-researched points/perspectives. A must read. Pete Hegseth does not disappoint!!

Peter Hegseth is a man who wants a better life for his 6 children. Initially a staunch liberal, he morphed into a conservative over time and lays out plenty of reasons why America is a great country, despite all the efforts to knock it down and why we need to keep America first and not erase our history. Many Americans despise our current imperfect and brash ‘see something, say something’ president but I truly believe he is a crusader for America and embraced Pete’s common sense approach and view. He has been on both sides of the political ‘war’, a man who loves his family and America. A breath of fresh air and reason in a time when things have turned surreal.

Pete Hegseth cheated on his last wife and got the side chick pregnant while still married to the wife du jour. This person is pure human trash.

Pete Hegseth provides an excellent commentary on whats going on in American politics today. I love his attitude and patriotism. It is refreshing to see someone who isn't afraid to share controversial opinions and be proud of his country. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about American politics and why Trump won. Thanks to Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an unbiased and honest review of this book.

If you watch Fox News, you have likely seen Pete Hegseth on TV. He's a passionate conservative voice, an Army vet who calls his fellow Americans to defend our freedom and way of life. In American Crusade: Our Fight to Stay Free, Hegseth hits conservative hot-button issues, showing the distinctions from liberalism, and calling on Americans to join his crusade.

Despite the militaristic language, Hegseth's fight is not with arms but with ideas. The ideas he's fighting against are familiar to conservatives: globalism, genderism, socialism, secularism, environmentalism, elitism, multiculturalism, and Islamism. His examples and explanations of conservative positions are simple without being simplistic. His passionate defense of freedom and conservative ideas is clear and solidly argued.

Hegseth is worth reading and worth listening to for his common-sense, well-reasoned conservative positions. If you are on the fence, trying to decide between blue and red, conservative or liberal, Trump or Biden, give Hegseth a read. Whatever your starting point or presuppositions, he's sure to make you think.

I was a bit surprised by this book. I really liked how frank and honest Hegseth is. He pulls no punches. I think most people that would read this book would need to be a fan of his, or more in line with his politics, but I think it’s a book for everyone that loves this country. I enjoyed it.

American Crusade: Our Fight to Stay Free by Pete Hegseth was received direct from the publisher and I chose to review the book.  Anyone not suffering oxygen deprivation from wearing a useless medical mask because they were told to by the lefties, knows America is at a crossroads, possibly fighting the Second Civil War as we sit here.  We hear it every election time, but the 2020 election is certainly the most important one of my lifetime. America has been going downhill since the Obama years, Trump got us back up but then the Republicans allowed us to be dragged down with this wuhan virus vast over reaction.  Pete relates we are in need of an American crusade, cleaning out the academic and cultural rot that has over ridden Americas youth.  Only informed and unapologetic patriots can Make America Great Again and that time is now.

The media will lead less intelligent people to believe that progressivism is the overwhelming majority in the US.  Smarter people see progressives are maybe 25% of the population, the other 75% are deplorables clinging too their guns and bibles.

The thought that every congressman/school system sucks, "except mine," is a root cause of the political down fall.  Your congressman/woman sucks just as bad as mine, rest assured and they ALL NEED TO GO.

The author hits on many topics, such as the call for National Health Care, when the Veterans Administration has failed time and time again to manage even 10% of the populations health care.

The topic of "50/50 Americans," those affected with wokism, who think globalism is the shizznizzle. Does the European union experiment not prove that globalism did nothing but open borders for "refugees" to cross borders effortlessly to plan and complete acts of terror, while the leaders all exhibited no nationalism at all. There are those who think there are more than two genders, those who are not intelligence enough to see socialism never has and never will work. Those who think global cooling, they mean global warming, oops they really mean climate change is a real issue (havent heard much of that all recently have we)? And honestly, many of these people are school teachers, who as we speak, are fighting to keep the schools closed.

Amongst all of the political books out or coming out prior to this important election, I would recommend this one as the author seems level headed and spot on. Some of the thoughts in this review are mine.

Remember they are not after Trump, they are after us, he is just in the way.  Time for a crusade.

“Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.”
--JFK

In a world where cancel culture and political correctness have become the new freedom of speech, it was refreshing to read Pete Hegseth’s take being an American.

I will leave my review at that, for I do not wish to have a legion of political trolls knocking on my door. Not being an overly political person, I find myself wanting to go back to enjoying the simple comforts I once took for granted before Apocalypse 2020…like being proud to be an American.

**I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book that I received via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. **

Pete Hegseth (of Fox and Friends) offers his second book, perfectly timed for the upcoming election. Mr. Hegseth covers a number of areas, from Socialism to Islamism (and everything in between). The book’s subtitle, “Our fight to Stay Free,” could be easily substituted on numerous books written by supporters of either of the two major political parties in America. Make no mistake about it, this is a solid coverage of Republican issues, and Mr. Hegseth pulls no punches as he outlines his beliefs about the dangers facing America.

The book is well-written, the subjects easily found in their respective chapters. Mr. Hegseth offers plenty of supporting documents to back up his statements, and I found his detailed index helpful in finding specific information in a moment’s notice. The author mostly stays away from specific comments about members of the Democratic Party, although he does have a few he comments about in a manner that echoes President Trump (for example, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is labeled as “Comrade Cortez,” referencing her political stance on issues). Most of the time he blankets his targets as leftists, leaving the reader to determine the appropriate targets.

As with most political books nowadays, those who identify with Democrats will hate this book and Republicans will love it. If you are conservative, this is a good reminder of all the issues that are on the table and will be affected by whoever wins the November election. The author doesn’t seek to sway anyone to his positions. He knows his target audience and talks to them directly, using the book to help rally people to support the cause. The name “American Crusade” is a clear indicator that this book is intended to educate and galvanize people into actively supporting President Trump in the upcoming election. Four stars.

My thanks to NetGalley and Center Street for a complimentary electronic copy of this title.

Unsourced, flimsy, poorly constructed. There are better conservative thinkers and writers than this one.

In plain-spoken, down-to-earth, easily-accessible language, Hegseth speaks about what's at stake in America in 2020. Hegseth attacks political correctness, lack of patriotism, and unpacks the loaded language of political discourse. At the time he wrote this book, Hegseth could not have known there would be riots in the streets, churches set on fire, synagogues vandalized, stores looted, and autonomous zones of violent lawless anarchy set up in downtowns from Seattle to Portland and that the local authorities willfully ignore anarchy as young children were fatally shot in Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. But, Hegseth would not have been surprised, having seen the trajectory. This is a passionate point of view and not intended as an academic discussion.
