A really pacy addictive thriller, I raced through this one thanks to the short chapters and the need to know what was going on.

At the start of the book the main character Janey is told a secret by her mother just before she passes away and we don't find out what that is until right near the end. I would never have guessed it and it brings everything together so well.

This is the first book I have read from the author and I will definitely look into their other thrillers

This is a good domestic suspense thriller.
Decent plot twists and an adequate ending.
This book is a slow burner. This book is well written and has good characters

Started a little slow for me but I was pulled in and really enjoyed it. A solid read with great writing.

I had a hard time getting through this book. It kind of jumped around too much at some points and I felt there was some unnecessary things happening throughout. A bit disappointing as the synopsis sounded quite promising

I have enjoyed other books by this author, but I didn’t really feel anything special for Little Whispers. It felt very over the top, even for a psychological thriller but it was also not what I was expecting based on the blurb. The characters were both dramatic and dumb, and I just didn’t connect with any of them. Overall it just wasn’t for me, but I would still read others by this author as I have enjoyed other stories.

K L Slater has done it again. One of the best authors of this genre and never fails to deliver. Twisty and gripping throughout, read this book in just two sittings.

I love the author's psychological thrillers and this one is perfect. Couldn't race through it quickly enough. The pages practically turn themselves.

This was a fast-paced and easy read. There were some good twists and an intriguing story-line that held my interest from start to finish. Most of the novel is told from Janey’s perspective. We learn about Janey’s past and her life with her mother. I was curious about the big deathbed secret. I made plenty of guesses, but I wasn’t even close. I couldn’t wait to read how everything would come together in the end.

Another great book from K L Slater. Characters you love to hate! Twists and turns galore. With friends like these who needs enemies.

Wow what a page-turner. I couldn’t guess Janey’s family secret! KL Slater at his best. I really felt the emotion throughout, what depths would I got to protect my family versus my strong sense of what is right and wrong. When you’ve read as many thrillers as I have it can take a lot to impress me and keep me guessing! A must read thriller!

I thought this was okay. To me the premise didn’t work, I can’t imagine telling a brand new friend a secret that would completely ruin me or even have the chance to so the entire time I was having a difficult time suspending the disbelief.

Janey is excited to move to a new home in Buckinghamshire Crescent after her husband gets a new job. She makes friends with Tanya down the road who helps her settle in with the new clique. One afternoon after a few glasses of wine Jane confides a family secret to Tanya but can she really trust her new bestie ?

I received a digital copy of this novel from NetGalley.
I have discovered most of my new favorite writers on NetGalley. K.L Slater is one of them. Her novels are filled with suspense and always keep me guessing until the end. I always end up talking about these books at work or with friends. "Little Whispers" is another example of an amazing read; and totally worth it!

Little Whispers by K.L. Slater - Janey is delighted to have moved to a smart neighbourhood with her family. She meets Tanya, the kind of woman she has always looked up to. And in a weak moment (I think wine was involved - isn’t it always) she tells her “friend” a shocking secret. Why wouldn’t she trust her new friend, the book says. I’d be damned if I would. Then Janey sees something involving Tanya’s family and the threats begin. But wait, Janey’s husband is working long hours - anything going on there?
This was an easy read - well maybe not. Because I had to read a long way in before something actually happened. I know Ms Slater turns out many, many books. She must have a lot of fans.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC

Another amazing read from one of my favorite authors, K.L. Slater.

Janey's husband is offered a new job in a beautiful area. The house is an amazing deal and her husband's job is paying him twice of what he makes now. A dream come true, right? Or is it?

I'm gonna go ahead and call this a "scatterbrained thriller'.... It was good but had a lot going on. Like, a lot. Several characters with their own individual lives and drama - enough for a couple different novels. It was so densely packed, I felt like we never got enough time with just one person before we were moving onto the next. Things need to be better fleshed out, but overall it was ok. 3.5 stars

Thanks netgalley for giving me the pdf so that I can share my thoughts and opinions with y'all 🧡
