This was a great beginners guide to the world of cults. Before reading this I had no idea some of them had existed and it was very informative! I loved the format of each chapter being about a different cult. I don’t usually read non fiction but I really enjoyed this one!

This was not the book for me I did not enjoy how the stories were lacking information, I read about 25% of the book and I didn't care to go further.

First of all, guys, that cover, isn't a super creepy cool cover? Oh yeah!! 🌸 So, I was so so happy when Quercus sent me this book, I have always been into true crime and nonfiction, the introduction got me, completely. Every chapter is about a cult, some of those, my opinion, should have been extended, some chapters seemed to be just a copy paste from google but many others were really good and about cults I never heard about before 🌸 So there's the good and bad side. Too simple, you could find that on internet but well the author put it all together in one book and ended up being really interesting. Not for someone who already knows about the subject, but as a book you'll read as a beginner. The information is too basic, but I think at some point that's fantastic because not everyone wants to read a whole book about this kind of subjects based only in one cult. 🌸 I enjoy how well written it is, you finish each chapter with no doubts and it's an easy read even if the subject can be hard. Gives you good information and the chapters are short so it isn't a huge book you'll read forever, instead is a short interesting book. 🌸 if you're a history, nonfiction true crime lover you'll probably enjoy this one

Cults: The Worlds Most Notorious Cults Review

I want to thank Mobius Books for a copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

I had such a fascination with cults, I’m always drawn to books like this. I did find that it focused on a lot of older cults from the early 1900’s which for me isn’t all that interesting. The chapters on each cult are quite short so it is just the basics about each one. It is well written but I found it got a bit confusing when it talked about different countries and names of cities etc. Overall it wasn’t a bad read but if you want a detailed account of the cults I suggest you look them up individually. It’s a nice collection. It also goes into great detail about cults from around the world. I’m more interested in the deadly ones.
