Another great read by author Brenda Jackson. I will be featuring the book as Book of the Day to my followers.

Playboy Gannon Steele , the last of the “Bad News Steele’s” has no plans of getting married; at least not until his ten year plan of dating and bedding the women of Phoenix is complete. His plans all change when he is blown away by his intense attraction to Delphine Ryland, a journalist from Simply Irresistible Magazine. Craving to be in her presence, he convinces Delphine to drive cross-country with him to determine if she is his soulmate.
I’m always impressed with the amount of research that Brenda puts into her stories. I enjoyed getting a more positive outlook of the trucking industry. She was able to show major changes being made to keep drivers safe and how important the industry is to economy. I love the family aspect of the book. The Steele brothers are a very close and supportive group. The way they treasure their mother and respect their father is admirable.
I really expected to like this book more, but it was hard to get through it. It started off slow and by the time it started to pick up at around 68%, I was drained and over it. There was a lot of over-explaining and main characters that continuously stayed in their head;this story would have definitely benefited from more fleshed out scenes. I had a hard time believing Gannon accepted Delphine as his fate that quick. I expected some push back from the man who adamantly stated he was going to be single for ten years; their connection was too easy for my taste.
For this to be the last book in the Forged of Steele series, it was very anticlimactic. We didn’t get the wedding we deserved, no proper reunion of the family that we’ve grown to love, nor a proper ending of this beloved series.
The way this book was written let’s us know that the author was definitely in a hurry to close out this series and my heart is heavy because I wanted so much more. I will miss the Steele family.

I had the pleasure of reading Claimed By A Steele. I received an advanced reader copy from @netgalley, this book will be released on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
The baby of the Steele Clan, Gannon, is the ultimate ladies man with a 10 year plan in place before he is ready to settle down. Delphine is a 20-something year old journalist that is conducting an interview on Gannon for Simply Irresistible.
The story surrounds the interview in the beginning. Over time, Gannon realizes that Delphine could be the one to change his outlook.. his soul mate. He invites her to go on the road with him and then for a week at his beach house.. the rest is history from there.
What I liked was even though Gannon seemed to have this 10 year plan, he was open to getting to know Delphine on a more intimate level. Delphine wasn’t very relatable or likable at times. I found her character to be wishy-washy.. she required a lot of reassuring but Gannon was very patient with her. The story was kind of slow at times, the speed picked up around the 70% mark for me. I did like the ending.

This book was given to me by NetGalley and Harlequin for an honest review!
I have been a fan of all things Brenda Jackson from the first moment I picked up her books. I've traveled all over the south with her in The Westmoreland Series, The Madaris Series as well as the Forged of Steele Series. I have enjoyed the crossovers in the series and I am so sad to see the end of this amazing Series.
How can you not help but fall in love with a Steele man? Especially those Bad News Steeles and their green eyes?
Gannon is the baby of the Steele clan but that does not make him any less of a ladies man, he has grown up watching his brothers play the field, but now with all his brothers happily married there is no one for him to compete with for the ladies attention. Gannon plans to play the field for the next ten years before settling down and marrying. But just because that is his plan does not mean it will come turn.
Here comes Delphine Ryland, a journalist from Denver who is here to interview Gannon for the cover to of the magazine she works for. Delphine has been hurt in the past and isn't really open to love. But that was before a Steele set his eyes on her. Gannon convinces Delphine to hit the road with him to determine if she is his destiny or not.
Somewhere along the way, Gannon falls for Delphine and she for him. But will they allow a miss understanding come in the way of their love?
Claimed by a Steele has everything you need in a romance. It is a slow burn romance novel with a handsome hero and a relatable heroine. You just want to be in Delphine's shoes when Gannon sets his eyes on her. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for. I would really recommend you read the whole series as past characters come back as well.

Gannon Steele is the youngest Steele son, a gorgeous billionaire looking forward to playing the field now that all his brothers are married and off bounds. He has a ten year plan but unfortunately for him ace reporter Delphine Ryland almost instantly derails it. From the first official dinner when he can't stop staring at her gorgeous lips and has to make up a story of how she reminds him of someone to his invite to view the lights and stars over the city from the private lookout point on his brother's estate. He is a goner! all his family knows it and is taking bets but Gannon is determined to resist.
He's driving one of his company trucks and invites Delphine to ride with him and get a glimpse of a trucker's life. I will say from this book and I don't how much it is based on reality it does seem like the truckers have more luxury in them trucks than I would have thought. Of course gradually two hotel rooms become one and Delphine ends up vacationing with him on the beach at his beach property in Florida.
This is a charming story and all is not smooth sailing for this handsome trucker CEO. I have absolutely enjoyed this series and look forward to more cousins and more books with these gorgeous men and their equally gorgeous women.

Gannon and Delphine proved to be bittersweet. In the midst of giving my heart to another one of those "Bad News Steeles", I realized it was finally time to say goodbye to another one of my favorite Brenda Jackson families. Claimed by a Steele is the culmination of years of mischief, tons of romance and the beauty of what family is all about. Whether it be falling in love with a bad boy, celebrating a moment not easy to forget or chasing after a fantasy, Jackson welcomes readers in with open arms, leaving them better for the experience. Gannon and Delphine make a hard goodbye, a little less painful with a beautiful swan song that is worthy of a Steele.

I'm sorry to see the series end, but thoroughly enjoyed this one. Although part of a series this book can be read as a standalone story.
Although they were attracted to each other from the first meeting, I liked that the author let them get to know each other before moving to intimacy. Love the family aspect of the stoey, especially the respect for mothers and women in general. A great read that I highly recommend.
I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

This book was definitely worth reading but it was a little fast paced! The story flowed well, it had some heartache and heartbreak, and it had some definite steam to it! Like I said definitely worth reading but a little rushed in places! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Trucking CEO Gannon Steele agrees to an interview with Delphine Ryland for a news article about the success of him company. Gannon is not prepared for the attraction between them. He invites her to take a cross country trip with him on a trucking route. This trip brings out the chemistry that has been building between them. Because of a past relationship Delphine has trust issues. Because of a misunderstanding she suddenly ends things between them and returns home.
