I went into this book not knowing much about it and was quite surprised by some elements of the story line. I highly recommend reading All This Time. It is a very quick read and definitely has many plot twists that I didn't see coming!

I received a free copy from NetGalley. When your high school girlfriend says she is not only no longer going to the same college as you but breaking up as well your world changes. It changes even more when you then get into a car accident killer her and severely injured yourself. How do you recover? Kyle not only has to recover, he has to decide to live again. Maybe Marley, who he meets at the cemetery and has also suffered loss can help him. But just when things seem to be getting better, can things now be too good to be true again?

So many twist and turns makes this story hold your attention. Right when you think things are the worst, they get better. Or when you think you have it figured out you don't! Kyle is dealing with having been hurt in a car accident after breaking up with his girlfriend. Kyle, Kim and Sam have been a trio since freshman year and have pulled each other up all this time. It continues in the story through all the twists and turns. Emotions are portrayed in the characters to draw you in to the story to make you cry and smile.

This was a book I didn't personally enjoy, but I think my students might gravitate to it more than I did. The cover is GORGEOUS, but the story just didn't work for me. The first part of the book drew me in, but it got more teen-soap-opera-y as the story went on and I didn't buy the instantaneous love between Kyle and Marley. I will probably buy it for my classroom library, but it wasn't my personal cup of tea.

I'm not quite sure how to explain/review this book without giving things away, but I'll try my best.

The premise of this book is very interesting. Kyle and Kim are seniors in high school who have been together forever (though sometimes their relationship is a bit on and off). But on graduation night, Kim reveals to Kyle that she doesn't want to attend UCLA with him like they had planned, but instead wants to go to Berkely and see who she is on her own. Kyle is upset, and when they drive home in a storm that night, they get in a car accident that leaves Kim dead and Kyle injured. Kyle doesn't know how to cope with this loss until he meets Marley, who is dealing with a loss of her own. This was my favorite part of the book, where we see Kyle trying to grapple with this loss, and trying to navigate his relationship with Marley. As Kyle and Marley's relationship deepens, I found the book getting a bit too cheesy.

There is also a twist in this book (well, really a few twists). I actually really liked the first twist, because while it felt unexpected and almost unbelievable at first, the authors grounded it in a way that made perfect sense. But then everything else after that was just too..... strange. I thought the ending was weird and a bit heavy-handed and hard to follow. I definitely liked "Five Feet Apart" better.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but I loved it. Marley and Kyle had such a sweet love story and I was sad when the book was over. The author created such a beautiful world with her words. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC.

How do you explain a book that should start with once upon a time? How do you review a book that should start with once upon a time? Once upon a time, a woman picked up a new book to read. She did not know what to expect and was surprised at how much she needed to find out what the book was about. She liked the dual story lines and the characters. Mostly she loved how Kyle was not willing to give up.

All This Time is listed as a young adult, the main characters are all older teens. The book does have a major twist in it that was a wow and the end had another twist. The book was well written and held my attention all the way to the end. All This Time by Mikki Daughtry and Rachel Lippincott is a wonderful read.

One day, visiting Kim's grave, Kyle meets Marley, a girl suffering loss of her own. The two find love in each other for the next year until one day, Kyle's world is upended all over again.

I settled in for a teen love story, Everything went according to formula for the first 2/3 of the book. I appreciate when books surprise me and break the pattern. Daughtry and Lippincott take the reader on an unexpected journey and teens are sure to look at their own lives to take stock in priorities.

Recommended for high school and up.

I had mixed feelings with this novel. It was very different and unique. But I didn’t like how the things that happened between Marley and Kyle were just in Kyle’s head and that he was just putting Marley’s stories to life while he was in a coma. I liked the ending and still cried, but I enjoyed Five Feet Apart more. I will still read any other work they put out because their writing style is right up my alley.

I will try not to give too much away, but I don’t know if I liked the plot continuing while Kyle was in a coma. I understand why it happened, but I don’t know how I feel about it. My feelings definitely changed from how I felt while reading it. Once I finished the whole novel, I realized that that is how it had to happen. But I still had that thought of “what’s the point then of it if it was all made up?” when the reader was told it was all just a dream and that Marley didn’t really exist. I’d tell anyone who wants to read this novel to finish the novel. It might not suit your taste that much while reading but the ending is very touching. As well as it’s nice to think that such a good thing could come from bad things.

I had this book pegged from the beginning. Sad boy feels guilty for falling in love again, same old same old. Until it totally turned on a dime. I don’t want to spoil anything by saying more. Didn’t love the ending, but was a good read. Solid 3.5-4 stars

All This Time is not your typical YA romance. I thought I knew where it was going, but several times I was surprised by the turn of events. There are heavy topics, breakups, injuries, car crashes and death, but ultimately this is a hopeful book. I felt empathy for Kyle has he struggles to come to grips with his life after the accident. I also liked the friendship between Kyle and Sam and how they navigate their strained relationship and learn they can move apart and remain friends. Most surprising of all to me was Marley; she keep me guessing! The author calls this a fairy tale, but it is a refreshing one. I was pretty excited to read this book because - like so many others - I really enjoyed _Five Feet Apart_. That incoming experience directly explains my shock over how much I dislike this book.

Kyle, the m.c., is...terrible. He experiences a tragedy at the start of the novel that he wallows in and revisits constantly for about the first half of the book. I understand that we're looking at grief, guilt, and an attempt at accepting personal responsibility here, but this started to feel like torture for sport to me really quickly, and I could not handle one more round of explanations or flashbacks. More importantly, it's clear at the start of the novel that Kyle has a lot of growing up to do, and that is acceptable for a senior in high school. What is really odd to me, though, is how he doesn't mature but does take on the hobby of making truly weird snap decisions. Is anyone going to talk with him about how horrible he is in romantic relationships? Is he going to think about NOT trying to control a partner one day? Yuck.

The twists in this novel... I don't even feel like it jumped the shark. It jumped SHARKS. I burst out laughing at several points that I know were supposed to be heartfelt revelations, and that is just not indicative of how I typically respond to literature.

I hate disliking a book. It makes me sad. I've been a teacher for a long time, and I only want to see success. For me, this was a very, VERY depressing experience.

Kyle hasn't had the best senior year of school. He's injured during football derailing his plans to play in college and on the day of graduation, his longtime girlfriend breaks up with him and they get into a car accident in which she dies. Kyle tries to continue moving forward with his life after the accident but really struggles until he meets Marley in the cemetery. The two work through their grief together until one day Kyle wakes up in the hospital and everyone involved in the accident is alive and well and he's been in a coma. Kyle struggles with the life he and Marley were building together and is determined to prove that she is real, but is she?

I read and enjoyed "Five Feet Apart" and was looking forward to another novel by these authors.

This story starts out as a Kim & Kyle love story… however, tragedy happens.
Now Kyle is recovering from his injuries but not doing so well from love lost. He sees Kimberly everywhere even though she is dead.
He meets Marley at Kimberly’s grave site as she too is suffering from loss. They form a bond….
> then something happens.
Yep there is a twist in this story!

Note: I did like reading most of this the story. I had a hard time with Kyle’s annoying nasty language. True he is a hurt young man. Will in [book: Five Feet Apart] also got annoying with his language. I understand ~ boys will be boys but to me they should have enough intelligence to know when they to use some filter.

Author Mikki Daughtry has a great author’s note at the end of the story. Stating she believes in fairytales.
I smiled at this and thought “Yes”! I also like fairytales ~ they are magical.
I also believe in miracles and to me both happened in this story.

I certainly am looking forward to the next novel by these authors.

Every time I turned the page and thought I could predict what was going to happen next, my prediction was wrong. I loved the twists and turns in this love story and the intricacies of the characters.

Both authors have a unique ability to tell a beautiful story that leaves readers feeling every emotion possible. I loved each moment of this story and devoured the book. If you are a fan of Five Feet Apart, you will love this book as well.

When I finished reading this all I could think about was that I may need to purchase two copies of this for my classroom because it is going to be very popular with my students who love a good, emotional, roller coaster of a romance. Great read and I actually liked it just as much as Six Feet Apart. This is the story of Kyle and Kimberly, a couple for years who break up right before a horrific car crash kills Kimberly and Kyle has a TBI. Kyle is struggling with his new reality and mourning Kim. He meets Marley and things start to change for him as he begins to try and heal and move forward. Kyle has the support of his mom and his best friend, Sam to pull him through the darkness but his brain injury is causing him some issues. There are a few surprises in this book and I really did enjoy reading it. This is a story of fairy tales and "once upon a times..." full of self discovery, love, self worth, loss and heartbreak. Will be a hit with my high school students.

Teenage Love is a theme I love to read about and All This Time filled that void. Teenage Drama and Romance is like a craving that comes frequently and you will stop at nothing to satisfy that craving. The way Kyle and Marley mended their broken hearts they didn't realize that their relationship would bloom and just when they were starting to rebuild, they rebuild what was once non-existent. I could not help but feel my heart get warmer and warmer and smile throughout each page of the book. Our teen book club will sure love it and I can't wait for the discussions that will arise from it.

We will consider adding this title to our YA collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

This novel made me feel all of the feels - multiple times. The writing was almost poetic and I could vividly picture every location throughout the book. I was on a roller coaster ride of emotions as I read through this fairytale of a love story with so many layers. I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to read this book before publication.

Following the success of their debut, Five Feet Apart, Mikki Daughtry and Rachael Lippincott are back with a new YA contemporary. All This Time follows a teen boy as he deals with loss, self-identity, and finding love after a harrowing accident.
This book shifted from a three star read to a five star read to an ultimate four star read in the span of about 300+ pages! It basically just took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions! It starts off somber and then sweet until about halfway through the book. Without giving away spoilers, this book will shock and surprise you about midway through and will alter your entire perspective on the story in a good way.
In addition to the dynamic plot, I also really enjoyed the flower imagery and the meanings behind each flower. MarIey and Kyle use flowers to convey their emotions or feelings for one another and it made the story a little bit sweeter and more meaningful.
On top of that, the message about believing in fairy tales and being a dreamer is inspiring and shows that the world is what we make of it. If we believe we deserve darkness, then that’s what our world will be filled with. However, there is always hope and light waiting for us too.
This book made me hopeful, sad, angry, happy and shocked all just gave me all of the feels! It will bring you a whirlwind of emotions and is such an easy book to read in one sitting. While it’s vastly different from Five Feet Apart, Daughtry and Lippincott definitely weave together a fabulous story that will stick with me for a long time.

Kyle had been in love with Kimberly since third grade. He asked her out in seventh grade, and they dated through high school. The night of their graduation party Kim tells him she wants to know what her life would be like without him. Kyle can’t imagine his life without her but, when she’s killed in a head on collision that leaves him with a broken leg and head injury, he has to learn.

Months are spent in self-loathing and grief before Kyle ventures to the cemetery to visit Kim. While there he meets Marley, grieving the death of her twin sister. She doesn’t want to tell sad stories, so Kyle sets about trying to make her happy. In time they realize how much they understand each other and settle into a comfortableness that has Kyle feeling as if he finally knows what his future could be like without Kim. But sad stories have a way of being told, and everything changes for both of them.

This book did a number on me. Without giving out spoilers there was a point where my neighbors could hear me screaming, “You did NOT just do that!” Visions of a certain Dallas episode and a Christopher Reeve movie (both of which have to remain nameless due to spoilers) danced in my head as I wished for Daughtry and Lippincott to take a different path.

“All this time” is a great read, and I highly recommend it for ages 16 and older.
