Once again RaeAnne Thayne has captured me again. Her style never fails to keep you engaged and wanting more. One of the best books this year. A wonderful read

Returning to Lake Haven with RaeAnn Thayne is like returning to any small town where you know the people. It is a chance to catch up on old friends and a time to make new ones, because everybody is just so nice. Ok, I know that is only one side of small towns--that the other is that if you don't fit, there is no place for you, but of course, the characters here do fit.

Ian's two kids become the stars of the story, the reason he and Samantha end up together and of course everyone lives happily ever after.

This is a great beach read or book for some time when you want to smile and not work too hard.

Thanks to the publisher for providing a review copy via NetGalley. Grade: B.

Summer at Lake Haven is a sweet story that is great for a relaxing day by the pool. The romance felt a little bit rushed to me, but I did like the characters and since I'm a sucker for a single dad story with or without the romance, I settled in and just enjoyed the read. As I understand it, this one finishes up the Haven Point series, and I'll just add that even though I haven't read the whole series, I had no problem with any part of this one, so it does work as a standalone, in my opinion. The book is well written, the characters are likable and interesting, and the storyline was good, so even though I felt like the romance lacked a bit of depth, it was still worth the read.

Another great story from RaeAnne Thayne. She takes us back to Lake Haven (11th in the series).

Who could want more from life than to make wedding dresses and hang out with puppies? Well Samantha couldn’t. She has given up on men (at least for the time being) and is ready to focus on herself. But then Ian and his two adorable children. Sam thinks she can just help the kids get over the death of their mom with a bit of womanly love and puppy breath (who doesn’t love that?) and Ian is just in need of help and willing to do what he needs to for his kids.

I just love the writings of RaeAnne Thayne. She has grown so much as a writer and is high up on my list of authors. And this book is exactly why. Not one to be missed. The characters are great. The kids are great and you can practically smell the puppy breath through the pages.

Can’t wait for the next in the series.

I’m a big fan of this author and enjoyed the book. To me the story was a bit cheesy but the loved the main character Samantha and how your life had been in the past. She was very talented as a seamstress and was needing to find love. She was a caring friend,a hard worker and over all a great person. She meets a rental neighbor and doesn’t like him at first but adored his children. Good story but to me just dragged out and was not a strong story.

Samantha is learning how to deal with her mother’s death and having to run her store when she meets her neighbor for the summer and his children. Ian is doing some work while visiting Lake Haven for his sister, Gemma’s wedding. He is dealing with raising his children since the death of his wife and his pending family obligations . Samantha has a tendency to fall easily for me but tries her best not to fall for Ian . She quickly realizes that Ian and his children are just what she needs in her life.
Raeanne Thayne delights with this heartwarming story about love, loss, and family. Thank you Netgalley and the Publisher for an Arc for my honest opinion .

This is the 11th book in the Haven Point series, but can definitely be read as a standalone book. I enjoyed this story about Samantha Fremont (Sam). Sam is a busy lady. She runs a boutique in town that her mother started, as well as running her own business of designing and making wedding gowns. She is making the gown for her friend, a recent implant from England. It just so happens that her friend's brother has come over with his two children to do some research and is renting the house next to Sam. A sexy professor, single dad and an accent, what's not to like.

I liked Sam's character. She had a lot of baggage that she has to shed. After her mother's death, she has worked her fingers to the bone keeping her mother's store afloat while trying to follow her dream. She has also not had a lot of luck in the relationship area and has some issues with self-esteem due to carrying a few extra pounds. She is a kind, hard-working woman who is easy to like. She realizes that she enjoys being with Ian and his children and wants to spend time with them before they head back to England. I enjoyed getting to know these characters. They were all very likeable and the kids were adorable. They loved being with Samantha and helping to take care of her puppies. This was an easy to read, fun, sweet story with a couple of minor twists. There is a Happily Ever After in this story, but the story of getting there is an interesting read. This is definitely a great choice for a beach, pool or just summertime read.

Summer and Lake Haven is RaeAnne Thayne at her best. Every time I open one of her books I know I will fall in love with her character and root for them until the very end. This one was no exception.

I was a little hesitant about this one going in. Samantha Fremont has probably been one of my least favorite characters in the Haven Point series (topped only by her overbearing, critical mother, Linda). But when the book begins Samantha is recovering from her mother's sudden death and is not the same Samantha I'd seen in previous books. She's grown up a lot and it is easy to see why all the other characters have been friends with her for so long and put up with her nonsense. Underneath all her over the top silly personality was a good kind person with a lot of self doubt. Getting a peek at her internal monologue was illuminating and made her very easy to connect with. Ian Summerhill has his own complicated backstory and is also incredibly likable and sympathetic. And Thayne kept the perfect balance of having children in the story for more then just window dressing but not letting them completely takeover. This was a sweet, authentic feeling romance about two people who need each other more then they knew.

It was bittersweet reading this book because it is the last book in the Lake Haven series. RaeAnne Thayne is a wonderful writer & always puts me through a gauntlet of emotions with every book, including this book!
I really enjoyed learning more about Samantha Fremont. She went through a lot with her Mother, Linda, & what she went through affected her confidence & the decisions she made or didn't make. It was wonderful to watch her transform in this book & make better decisions for her life.
I am sad for this series to end, but excited for what's next!

Book 9 and the final book in the Haven Point Series excellent read and the perfect way to finish the series off. I loved this small town, filled with diverse characters. I wish that I could live there.

This book centered around Samantha and Ian. Samantha is dealing with loss and how to come to grips with doing something that she loves for herself. Ian, a handsome brooding Englishman, comes to town for his sister's wedding, bringing his two children. The story deals with healing, secrets that need to be unveiled, moving on and a love story. Definitely a perfect ending. The perfect summer read!

Thank you to RaeAnne Thayne, Harlequin and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book and exchange for a fair and honest review.

Last of the Haven Point books we get to see most of the characters from the past and attend the wedding from the couple in the first book. That brings us to the main characters in this book. The brides brother from England and the designer of the wedding dress. The two know there is no future for the two of them but of course things work out. There is tension and romance as the two are thrown together. Nice ending to the series.

Samantha is dealing with the loss of her mother who passed six months earlier and left her alone not to mention confused. You see she has spent most of her life coping with her mother's notion of how she should live her life. Now that her mother is gone Samantha is still living how her mother thought she should but she soon sees maybe that wasn't quite right. It's hard to change though, especially when you've spent your entire life basically living for someone else. She is slowly making changes when Ian enters into her life. Ian is the brother of one of her best friends who will be getting married in a month. Ian along with his two children are staying in the rental next door to Samantha's home. Ian has his own set of issues to deal with. The death of the children's mother has been hard on them all and moving forward isn't something that can be done quickly. Raising children alone is not easy and bigger changes are coming to his life since the death of his brother. Follow along as these two forge a friendship but feel so much more. Can they stop looking into the past and look toward the future for a.happiness they both deserve? This was a lovely romantic read with two wonderful characters who just want to find love and fill their lives with happiness.

Categorized as a clean and wholesome romance, this story is exactly that. A great beach read set in beautiful Idaho. Samantha Fremont is the owner of a fashion boutique and has just started designing wedding gowns for friends and clients in this small town. She is trying to step out of the shadows of a negative nellie nit picker of a mother who passed away unexpectedly 5 months ago. Throughout the book, you hear "what would my mother say" in typical sarcasm. Poor Samantha. As she is designing and sewing the PERFECT wedding gown for her friend Gemma Summerhill, Samantha meets Gemma's brother Ian who has come from England for the wedding with his 2 children and nanny. They are renting the cottage next door to her for an extended summer vacation. Ian is a biology professor and spends his days researching salmon in Lake Haven. The two meet as neighbors, but very soon the attraction is too hard to resist as the pair are very well suited for each other. Ian neglects to tell Samantha that he is an Earl and that he will be returning to England to take over his family duties in that capacity. Grab yourself a copy of this beautiful book (just look at the peaceful cover design) and enjoy this sweet story and happy ever after.

I have loved this series from the very first book and this book is no exception. I thought the story was amazing. I loved the twist that Ian was a British Lord. The way that Samantha and Ian are drawn to one another and help each other to reach their goals and potential is a wonderful plot for the story. Drawing his kids into the story with puppies adds a nice element and his parents sound just wonderful. That being said, her mother is a piece of work!!! This is a wonderful addition to this series and I hope they keep coming! I will never tire of reading about this town and it's characters.

Sweet and satisfying! With book eleven in her always beloved Haven Point series RaeAnne Thayne gives Samantha Fremont the happily ever after she's been yearning for over the years. The characters are quick to draw the reader in, the children and puppies in the story line are delightful and the romance is sweet.

Samantha has been someone we've watched as she tried to find love for years as she wavered under her mother's overpowering thumb. Now she's lost a bit now that her mother is gone as she tries to find her knew norm and begins to flourish on her own.

Ian is quite attention grabbing. His kids are adorable, he's secret royalty and he's trying to figure out how to make sure his children heal after losing their mother.

I recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys a sweet romance set in a small town setting with a large cast of interwoven characters who are like family to each other. There's always a sweet, happy ending in Haven Point!

An engrossing, heartwarming and entertaining story that made me smile and root for the characters.
I loved the lovely setting, the sweet romance and the well rounded characters.
Even if it's part of a series I had no issue with plot or the characters.
Recommended.

This was a slower read for me but I enjoyed the push and pull of the characters. Dealing with death and deep issues will take you on an emotional rollercoaster but this book was a lovely, rainy day read.

Since I couldn’t go to the lake, I decided that RaeAnne Thayne’s latest book Summer at Lake Haven would be the next best thing. This is Thayne’s concluding book in her Haven Point series, and what a great wrap-up it is! Samantha Fremont is a creative, sweet, and endearing heroine, and Ian Summerhill is a scholarly, attractive English hero. I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow and develop as they dealt with Ian’s two adorable children and Samantha’s charming puppies.

Thayne is a master at writing heartwarming stories with delightful small-town settings and colorful, lovable, three-dimensional characters. I’ve enjoyed meeting many of the wonderful citizens of Haven Point in previous books in the series, and it was such fun to have some of them pop up again in this one. If you’re looking for a clean, charming read this summer, this book is the one for you. 4.5 stars
