If you are in the mood for a sweet romance story, then pick up a copy of Summer at Lake Heaven. Summer at Lake Heaven is the perfect slow-burning romance story to read. Sam is finally getting her story. And get ready for it. Changes are coming especially for Sam. Everything has changed so much for Sam that she will finally make decisions about her dreams. But she will also get attention from the sexy brit, Ian.Ian may look a little stuffy in the small town but he is more than ready to relax and spend more time with his kids. He has a lot going for himself that he finds himself unexpectedly falling in love with Sam. They are really cute for each other. They may have some heavy baggage between them but who doesn’t. I really wish their romance was a little more but I understand that they both needed to figure out what their issues were. Time is always the best solution.

Samantha always lived to please her Mother. Now that Linda has passed Sam finds it hard to live her own life and be her own person. She is an amazing bridal gown designer and loves that work.
When Ian and his two darling kids come from England and move into the rental next door for the summer to attend his sister's wedding things get more interesting.
What develops throughout the book are uncovered secrets about Ian and his sister, as well as the real Samantha coming to light.
I love The Haven Point series of books and this one does not disappoint. It keeps your interest, the characters are believable and you will not want to put it down.

Samantha Freemont sees two children playing near her dock on Lake Haven. She hears a splash, then a scream and runs to the dock. Sam jumps into the frigid water and rescues Thomas Summerfield. Sam meets Ian Summerfield- Thomas’s father- at the dock and notices his blue eyes and tousled appearance. A spark of attraction passes between the couple. I loved the pairing of the quiet, creative Sam with Ian the serious, biology professor, in this novel of second chances.
Samantha Freemont is at a crossroads. Her dream is to design bespoke wedding gowns. Her mother’s sudden death has presented a series of challenges for her. She has inherited her family’s lakeside home as well as her mother’s busy dress shop. The dress shop requires her attention-supervising her employees, ordering merchandise and assisting clients. Creating these special gowns is her heart’s desire and managing the store means she has less time to focus doing what she loves. Ian lives and breathes for his studies. He spends his mornings on the lake studying salmon and the afternoons with his children. Sam adores Ian’s children and is drawn to him. She realizes that Ian has his own set of challenges .Ian is coming to terms with his brother’s death, his divorce followed by ex-wife’s death. He is trying to balance family responsibilities with his love of teaching.
Summer at Lake Haven is a character driven story. I loved the author’s decision to have the Summerfields rent the house next door for a month. Sam and Ian had a month to figure out if they wanted to remain friends or pursue a relationship. Loved the couple’s passionate kisses by the lake and the truly romantic slow burn relationship the author creates for the couple. I was invested in their story from the first few pages of the novel. Both Sam and Ian were lonely – this realization pulled at my heartstrings .Both of them were afraid to step out of their comfort zone. This important piece resonated with me. Loved the conflict in the story; Sam and Ian had to overcome past mistakes, move past self-doubts and embrace the possibility of change.
RaeAnne Thayne draws you into Summer at Lake Haven with her romantic prose but’s it was her characters emotional, poignant journey that kept me reading. I loved reading about their dreams, hopes, friends and family.
If you are looking for a romantic, second chance love story with all the feels, pick up a copy of Summer at Lake Haven. Settle in with a glass of wine and enjoy!

The latest book in the series features Samantha Fremont, a character who was somewhat iffy in earlier books. In this book, we find out why Sam was so focused on landing a man and why she never really has left the community to follow her dreams.
One of the interesting parts of the book is the arrival of bride to be Gemma's brother Ian and his two young children from England. As if that is not enough of an impediment to a romance, he is actually an English Lord and will be moving to the family estate after the wedding. Sam doesn't know that little tidbit however.
After an initial not "meet cute" introduction, Sam and Ian find themselves spending time together when his children start to look after her dogs while Sam is a work. Sam is also making Gemma's gown, her own original design. This is a nice slow building romance with a few pushes along the way from friends and family.
I enjoyed the way, Ms. Thayne opened up Sam's past life and explained why she has the life she does. Ian also has had to make tough decisions after a family tragedy. This provides the backdrop for the resolution of the issues that make this relationship a hard one to pull off given both of their circumstances. A sweet romance and a very enjoyable summer read.

Summer at Lake Haven has it all--romance, family, children, dogs and a lovely setting! What more could you possibly want?
The romance between Summer and Ian is definitely of the slow burn type. There's a lot of kissing and then "Oh, no. We shouldn't" going on. I guess that just makes it that much sweeter when there is finally an agreement somewhere down the road to act on those feelings. Ian's family obligations sure make it seem impossible for them to get together. But then they are so good together that they really shouldn't have the option of ignoring what is between them.
The children and the puppies really help round out an already good book. Those children are so dang cute! This is a wonderful sweet, clean romance.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

I love RaeAnne Thayne’s writing!
This may be the last book in the Haven Point series and it doesn’t disappoint.
Being transported to Haven Point is a guilty pleasure of mine.
The chance to visit with familiar characters and meet new ones (with delicious British accents!) is always wonderful. And watching (or reading) as Samantha and Ian find their way to each other is simply time well spent.
Congratulations Ms. Thayne!
I can’t wait for your next book!

I received a ARC from NetGalley and Harlequin, and this is my fair and honest review of the book

Great book and a lovely end to the Haven Point series. You can definitely read this book as a standalone story but I would recommend reading the series, they're all good! I really enjoyed this return to Haven Point and it's a little bittersweet. The story was so good, I didn't want to stop reading. Highly recommended!

It was great to return to Haven Point and although part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone story.

Ian arrived from England with his two children and their nanny to attend his sister Gemma's wedding. The cottage he's rented is right on the lake so he's able to continue his salmon research. He's right next door to the woman designing his sister's wedding dress and gets off to a shaky start, assuming he has access to the dock between the properties.

They fight the attraction as their feelings grow and I have to admit that although the relationship moved forward in baby steps, the constant hesitation on both sides was drawn out.

With the help of his mother, Ian realizes his true feelings before it's too late. A sweet and gentle love story of two broken hearts that find each other.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

I write this review feeling bittersweet because it’s the final book in the Haven Point series 😩😭 This series has brought me so much joy, I’ve fallen in love with the town and its residents over the years and I’ll miss looking forward to a new book. I took my sweet time reading this one too knowing that it was the last and I have to say, it was a very fitting ending to one of my favorite small town romance series.
I’ve been dying to read a book following Samantha forever now, she’s been one of the best reoccurring characters throughout the entire series and I was so happy she was finally getting her own book. Besides finally getting to learn more about Sam you have this charming English family visiting for the summer and a wedding, talk about the perfect setting for romance. This is romance at its purest and sweetest, it’s clean and adorable and so heartwarming. Highly recommend this whole series!

What I love about this author’s stories is that she always writes the “heart” of her characters. Samantha Fremont and Ian Summerhill are no exception. Samantha is coming of age, a wee bit later than most folks her age, as she nursed her very judgmental mother thru an illness. I’d say she’s a bit timid with life, but she IS trying to put herself out there more.

Ian Summerhill is visiting from England for his sister’s wedding. He has his adorable children with him. He is classically shy but his children know no such boundaries! They befriend Samantha and Ian is along for the ride.

These two are perfect for one another, although each of them has hurts and doubts and set “things” in their lives that they don’t share with the other. I loved their vulnerability and watching them try to get to an HEA.

Great story and if anyone hears about a house for rent at Lake Haven, I’d appreciate it if they let me know cuz I’m there!

If you're looking for a light, foo-foo, no-thinking-required kind of book, this is a good option. Overall, however, I was not very impressed with this book. The dialogue and storyline feel too forced and unrealistic for my taste (for example Sam's discussion with the children repeatedly about the puppies... ugh)... and a bit too lengthy for what the story did cover. In general, it's a story of healing, love, family, and moving on. Not the worst book ever, but not the best by far.

As soon as I opened the book and read page one, I was hooked again. Nothing like coming back to a Haven Point Novel. So well written, you feel as if you are part of the story, and so heartwarming to find love again. A definite delight to read.

I will leave a review on Amazon or B&N on June 23, 2020

Summer at Lake Haven is another hit for RaeAnne Thayne, she has the ability to pull a person into the book and it is hard to put the book down until you finish. She does such a wonderful jobs bringing the characters to life, and describing the area so that you can see it in your mind. This book will melt your heart, and you can't help but root for Samantha and Ian. I would definitely recommend this book to others. If it was possible to give half stars I would rate this book a 4.5 stars.

I received a ARC from NetGalley and Harlequin, and this is my fair and honest review of the book.

This is an adorable book! It is part of the Lake Haven series, which I have not read at all. But this book was totally able to stand alone. I actually didn't realize it was part of a series until I had already started it, so I definately didn't have trouble following along.

It was a lovely story featuring two lead characters who were each dealing in their own way with grief, loss and family expectations. Ian is on vacation with his two children, visiting Lake Haven for his sister Gemma's wedding. He ends up staying next door to Sam, one of his sister's best friends and also her wedding dress designer. With Gemma's wedding bringing the two of them together, their romance blossoms. It was very cute and I loved the characters.

Overall, a great read which was just what I was in the mood for. I liked the way the story progressed and I enjoyed the author's writing style a lot. I feel like I should go back now and start this series from the beginning! In the mood for a summer romance? This one is a great choice! It publishes on June 23rd. Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin Books for allowing me to read this great title.

I loved this book! It was romance at its purest and truly kept me smiling from beginning to end. Samantha Fremont, a wedding dress designer who also inherited Fremont Fashions from her mother, lives with her new dog, Betsey, who surprised her with three puppies. Ian Summerhill, who lives in England, along with his two children and Letty Gilbert, the children’s caretaker and overall helper for the family, temporarily rent the house next door to Sam for part of the summer, as he is in Lake Haven, Idaho for his sister Gemma’s wedding. Sam, also Gemma’s friend, has designed and is making her wedding dress. Ian and Sam’s relationship as friends, after a bit of a rough start, was lovely. I really enjoyed watching their friendship grow, and the children were very endearing. Well written, as this author never disappoints me, it was a beautiful story. The novella, A Haven Point Beginning, which is Gemma Summerhill and Joshua Bailey’s story, is included in the print version, or it can be read separately in digital format. It is sweet and romantic!

This is a beautiful story of two people dealing with grief, loneliness, and expectations and their pursuit of happiness. Samantha Fremont's life is very full right now, with juggling the clothing boutique, her wedding dress design business, and the care of young puppies and cannot be distracted by her temporary handsome neighbor and his two children, but she finds herself drawn to this grieving and precious family. Ian Summerhill is in Haven Point for his sister's wedding but also plans to spend time with his children in a magic setting before he must return to family obligations in England. It is a wonderful summer and a new beginning for all.

I received an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review; all opinions are my own.

Remember when you were a kid, and summer seemed to last forever and was all about playing outside, reading all night, fireflies and popsicles? That is what this book made me feel while I was reading it – like I was on an endless summer vacation. It was so light and easy and happy – plus, it had puppies and a rumply, British professor love interest…

Samantha is a romantic – how could you not be, if you are a wedding dress designer? She and her late mother used to run a boutique together – now that her mother is gone, the boutique is Samantha’s, which she runs while designing custom wedding dresses as well. Samantha is learning to live life out from under the shadow of her sharp tongued mother, who seemed to always have a derisive or mocking thing to say, even to her devoted daughter. Starry-eyed Sam, she would call her, making fun (and not in a lighthearted teasing way) of Samantha’s quick propensity to fall in love. So now that Sam is on her own for the first time ever, she is trying to override that little voice inside that wants to hold her back, that niggling of self-doubt.

When Ian and his family move in next door for the summer, Samantha vows she will not fall head over heels for this handsome, fish obsessed professor. She has learned her lesson. Ian has a past – and future – of his own that overshadows any hope of a relationship, the least of which is the geographical distance.

I enjoyed this easy little summer read very much – I love RaeAnne Thayne and Haven Point, so this was a sweet return to favorite characters. They just make me smile! And this book was no different. I loved seeing the evolution of Samantha and Ian, and also their own personal growth overcoming the history that is weighing them down.

All in all, a must read for your summer reading, whether you are on a beach or just at home!

Romance is in the air.
At Lake Haven..

Ian Summerhill has come over from England to Haven point for his sister's wedding....

But running into Samantha Fremont.. was not part of his plan.. she's a single woman who is a dressmaker and owns her own shop... his sister's best friend..

Samantha has lost her mother 6 months ago and work is what gets her through her days. and of course puppies she wasn't expecting.. she got a dog but the couple she got the dog from didn't tell her. This Momma was expecting.. what a sweet surprise..

While Ian Summerhill it's visiting for his sister's wedding being Samantha's neighbor.
His two children fall in love with these puppies Samantha offers for them to tend to them throughout the day to give them something to do with a little extra cash..

I'm always happy to read a book by this author she always has such sweet stories...

Thank you raeanne Thayne.

I am new to the Haven Point series, and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series now! It was good as a self contained book, though knowing some of the other characters back stories and being excited when they show up in a series is the best!

It was a fun, quick read and I loved the setting and the writing.is great. Loved the puppies too!
