This was a sweet and lovely read. In this small Idaho town, Samantha is trying to build her life after her domineering mother’s death. She runs a boutique while working every spare moment designing and sewing wedding gowns. And then Ian, a sex British marine biologist, and his two adorable children moves in next door for a short period before Ian’s sister’s wedding.

Of course, Ian and Samantha are going to fall for each other. Then we get the classic question - how can a couple with her having a life that she’s built in Idaho and a him having a life he must return to in Britain build a relationship. We all know where this is going - it’s just how this is going to be figured out. Even when it seems pretty obvious what the solution is, we still have to travel that road. And this was an entertaining read and I really enjoyed it.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I am generally a crime/ suspense/ thriller and horror reader. Every once in a while however, i want a break, i want a nice "feel-good" novel. A novel that wraps me in warmth. RaeAnne Thayne's writing does that for me.
Summer at Lake Haven contains all it needs to fit that "feel-good" vibe. There are puppies, sweet small children, the Helping Hands, wedding(s), and dozens of friends. This is a perfect summer or light read that passes quickly. I will be anxiously awaiting RaeAnne's next novel, another visit to Haven Point
i received an early release of this novel in exchange for my honest review. A charming novel.

Ian's sister has moved to Lake Haven from Britain and is marrying a local. Sam has become one of her good friends and has agreed to design and make her wedding dress. Ian and his two young, adorable children move into the vacation rental next door to Sam. Neither Sam nor Ian is looking for romance, much less a summer fling. In this adorable story, RaeAnne Thayne pulls out all of the cuteness possible with kids, puppies, and a gorgeous Brit to temp Sam. It's a lite, heartwarming read, just what I needed right now, and I really enjoyed it.

Great setting, awesome cast of characters, loved the neighborly meet cute. And putting two polite cutie pies in the mix was adorable (though slightly unrealistic). I enjoyed watching the romance develop - even while the couple had their own priorities and inner circles. I was a little impatient hearing the heroine complain in every chapter that the romance “would never work” — because there was no good reason it couldn’t, in my opinion! But I skipped over those parts and continued to enjoy the solid writing and what turned into a predictable but very satisfying happily ever after.

I wish I could just write that this book is great and be able to leave it at that! But that wouldn’t be the kind of review you are looking for, is it?

Samantha, a dress designer/store owner meets her best friend’s brother, Ian, who is renting the house next to hers for a month before his sister’s wedding. Ian has his two young, adorable and very British children with him.

Samantha has never really gone anywhere outside her hometown and is feeling trapped by the need to justify her dreams to her dead mother; held back from letting her love of designing wedding dresses grow because her mother’s negative voice is always in her head. Ian seems quite sad and at odds with his situation in life. Something is going on “across the pond” and creating conflict in his head. It is his children, and puppies, each in their own simple way, who open the door for him to examine his feelings and who provide the perfect connection between Sam and Ian.

I love how small-town USA meets Regency Romance UK! Ian and Samantha are two vastly different characters with two sets of obligations that they feel they must live by. But the attraction between them is instant and very real. The story is cute and heartwarming, but it deals with fears and insecurities too. It made this reader want very much for Ian and Samantha to find their way to a future together.

Ok, I want to move to Lake Haven! What a great setting for this story. This is the first I've read, and I liked it enough to go back and search for RaeAnne Thayne's other Haven Point novels. This is one I will happily recommend to readers who enjoy a sweet, gentle romance that develops slowly and without too much drama. I like the way we get inside the characters' heads and understand their feelings and motivation. Great story!

This book is wonderful. It was a heartwarming story of romance, they did not think they would be able to have their happily ever after but that were able to work it out. I enjoy returning to this little town to visit the people we have fallen in love with and make New friends.

Thank you netgalley and harlequin for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.

Ian and his children move in next door for the summer. He’s studying salmon – yep, the ever-popular salmon. At the end of summer, his sister is getting married in this tiny town of Haven Point. Ian is very British, formal, and more. Samantha owns a shop in town and designs and makes wedding dresses. Including Ian’s sister’s. A sweet romance develops, and there are puppies!

Author RaeAnne Thayne knows how to get inside the heads of her characters. Their hopes and fears guide the story. Romance and Puppies!

Samantha and Ian have the most lovely story. Neither wants a relationship and both feel drawn to the other. I enjoyed reading about Samantha overcoming her Mother's negative influence now that she was gone. Sam is a very talented seamstress and designer.
She falls for Ian and his two children before finding out he is a titled Englishman. I can't leave out the puppies she gets by surprise after buying a dog spontaneously. It's a fun and entertaining love story.

Samantha was going through the motions of her life after her mother’s death. She runs her store and designed wedding dresses. Then her friend Gemma’s wedding brings her brother Ian to town. ARC from NetGalley.

This book was decent, but not amazing. I didn't dislike it, but there was nothing about it that would set it apart from so many other romance novels. I was interested to hear about Ian's backstory, and I enjoyed his children. But I found Samantha to be unnecessarily abrasive. Overall, the book was just okay.

Another fine chapter in the ongoing Haven Point series. The main characters are well developed and appealing. They manage to move beyond troublesome pasts to a satisfying conclusion.

I adore RaeAnne Thayne’s Haven Point series! Summer at Lake Haven literally had me hook, line, and sinker after only the first chapter! I have been looking for a lighter read that had depth and this book cam through for me BIG TIME! RaeAnne has magical way of writing novels that make you forget the rest of the world and you find yourself completely immersed in this charming little town! I loved reading Samantha and Ian’s sweet journey—completely organic and absolutely captivating! I highly recommend this novel (and entire series)!

Summer at Lake Haven by RaeAnne Thayne. I loved the story of Samantha ( a dress shop owner) and Ian (a biology professor). I cannot wait to find out how RaeAnne Thayne came up with his occupation. I loved the story and I cannot wait to read more of her books. The descriptions of the surroundings sound just beautiful.

Summer at Lake Haven by RaeAnne Thayne. Enchanting, modern fairy tale romance set in the idyllic Haven Point, Idaho. Adorable children and puppies, a winsome heroine, a gentle nobleman, wonderful family and friends, breathtakingly descriptive landscapes make for a entertaining and feel good read. A pleasant addition to the Haven Point Series.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
