A great book for the naval history buff. I found the book to be very interesting with the pictures and descriptions of the various types of Japanese destroyers in WW2.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review

A detailed and in-depth photographic survey of Japanese destroyers, primarily from the World War Two era. There little text, but each picture is captioned. The pictures are of excellent quality.

It was fascinating looking at the photos of Japanese destroyers, but I wish there were a bit more information about them. Photo-wise it was a decent book, information-wise, not so much.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to view and review this book. This is a bare bones photo book of Japanese destroyer type ships from the late 19th century through the end of World War II. Most of the photos are of the vessels at sea doing trial runs after delivery or repair. Most are at a distance that does not alow great detail. For each photo there are only a few words provided giving basically identification of the ship. Some of the close-up photos, especially in dry dock are fairly interesting but still lacking description. There is an appendix giving greater detail of the life of each ship in all the classes. Interesting but not useful to most historians.
