Having already been on my own keto journey, I wanted to see what made Laska's different, or "dirty" and "lazy". And Laska's method will work, but I think she missed the boat because she didn't take the chance to really explain to people the science behind keto. And without that, you can still reap the benefits, but it seems to take longer. The things that she missed were explaining that to be most effective in losing weight, you first lower your carbs, get keto adapted, and then lower your fat intake, too. Because when you do that, you force your body to use the fat stores you have. Second, she totally skips over intermittent fasting, which is a tool that, again, really helps you dig into those fat stores.

Other than that, the book is pretty decent for how to get into keto, how it works, and lots of encouragement to spur people on.

But she's dead wrong about Kerrygold butter-- it's TOTALLY WORTH it, and no other butter I've ever had compares.

There is so much information in so many books (and websites and social media) that it’s always refreshing to find a simple, easy to follow approach. The Keto diet seems very simple at first blush, but dieters will inevitably hit roadblocks or confusion. This book takes a no-nonsense approach to a complicated lifestyle change and makes it seem doable.

This a great book for those who are intimidated by strict keto. It gives a ton of information and easy recipes to get you started. The author is knowledgeable without being too scientific. This would be a good starting point for anyone interested in the keto diet.
