I absolutely love the Peanut Butter Brothers. The first two books in the series kept you laughing and falling head over heels for the characters and His Amish Sweetheart was no different! I was engrossed within the first pages and was drawn in throughout the very last page. If you are looking for a heartwarming book look no further! I recommend this series to every bookworm I come in contact with!

Love the Petershiem brothers. This book is funny and keeps you in stitches. This was a long awaited book, but was well worth the wait. Austin is the most likeable of all the Petershiem brothers. Can’t wait to see what happens with the youngest two brothers.

Another wonderful story by Jennifer Beckstrand! If you haven’t read any of her books you are missing out. I find myself smiling as I’m reading her books. I love that the Honey Bee sisters Anna Bitsy Weaver are also mentioned in this story.

Our favorite Petersheim twins Alfie and Benji are back to try to get their brother Austin married so they can get out of sleeping in the cellar. The Petersheims sell organic Peanut butter so they are known as the peanut butter brothers. Alfie thinks that Priscilla Lambright or Scilla as she is called would make the perfect wife for Austin even though her BM cookies taste awful. Benji thinks that Austin’s best friend Hannah Yutzy would be the perfect match because she is cheerful and makes donuts and pretzels. How will they possibly get him married when he is way into himself? They decide to get some help by getting Dinah and Ruth Ann in on the scheme. They are always getting into mischief but their hearts in the right place. As you read this story you can’t help but feel everything that these characters are feeling. Amazing how it just grabs your heart.

I volunteered to read this book and leave an honest review.

His Amish Sweetheart was an adorable read! So beautifully written! Hannah was so sweet and wanted Austin to see how much she cared for him! Poor Austin just wasn’t getting it, and Alfie and Benji was up to their shenanigans again! So many funny moments, but also sweet, heartfelt ones, too! This one was definitely a hard one to put down!!

I loved this book. The twins were fun with all of their shenanigans. I loved watching the friendship and love develop between Hannah and Austin. What he really wanted was right in front of him but he needed a nudge to see it. I was provided a copy but the opinions are mine.

What a fun story. Hannah has been a longtime friend to Austin and such a great help as he establishes a local market to sell his family's goods. As the twins work in the background the shenanigans begin. This authors stories are always full of lighthearted fun and a joy to read.
I was gifted a copy by the publisher through NetGalley, my opinion and review are voluntary.

We waited a long time for Austin’s story, and it was worth the wait. The Honeybee Sisters’ trilogy introduced me to Beckstrand’s stories, and I was hooked. I love the community that grows and blossoms in each book. I was devastated when Austin’s release was delayed, and afraid that I wouldn’t remember the details once it came out. Instead, I can honestly say I was blown away. This might have taken the top spot in my favorites list.
Austin and Hannah’s friendship is so sweet and honest. And I love that what goes around, comes around on its own. I’m still waiting for James to find love, but I’m sure that’s coming soon…perhaps in the Pretzel Proposals.

My thoughts: This is one of my favorite series by Jennifer Beckstrand. Full of characters that come alive on the page and make you laugh with their antics. You'll want to knock some sense into Austin and give Alfie and Benji big hugs. Oh and Hannah needs a hug. This is a book you'll want on your keeper shelf and want to reread. I loved the ending. I was given a copy free and all opinions aew my own

Another matchmaking scheme in the books for young Alfie and Benji, on their quest to get out of the cellar and reclaim a bedroom in the house! These two crack me up with their narrative and way of thinking. Their older brother Austin is in their sights, and this time the twins disagree on who should be the target of his romance. Austin is such an oblivious guy, and often made me cringe as his thoughtlessness hurt Hannah's feelings. It's a tricky time of life, where it's too easy to take friends for granted while figuring out dating and courtship. I loved how Benji sees through the facade and manipulations of Alfie's choice of girl, and Alfie's reaction when he has to eat crow and follow Benji's lead for once. Some angst and drama is woven in as Hannah learns to let Austin go, while Austin learns to appreciate and value Hannah as well as identify who he feels truly devoted to. Andrew, Abraham, the family, and community are entertaining as a strong supporting cast, and I hope we get more stories in this series!

I read this book when it was to be originally published during the pandemic but waited to write my review. Well, I wanted to read it again and ended up listening to the audiobook which was phenomenal.

I have yet to read a Jennifer Beckstrand book I didn’t like. Each series warms your heart and finds a way to stick with you. Even though this series is about the three older brothers the twins make it, Alfie and Benji are two little imps that you can’t help but love.

Austin and Hannah have been friends for years and he is too smitten with another Amish girl, Scilla, to see the love Hannah has for him. Through ups and downs in building a business Austin questions his feelings for Scilla. Will he see where his true love belongs before Hannah walks away for good?

Even though His Amish Sweetheart can be read as a standalone I suggest read the series in order. This will give you the best experience with the twins. I hope one day we get another book(s) or a novella on the twins when it comes time for them to fall in love.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed above are entirely my own.

Oh how I adore Alfie and Benji and their sincere-of-heart-but-prone-to-backfire antics. They captured my heart in book one of this hilarious series, and they will forever be there – right next to Beckstrand’s other memorable characters like Anna & Felty and Aunt Bitsy.

All these precocious twins want is their bedroom back – and the only way they know to do that is to get their bedroom-stealing older brothers married & out of the house. And Austin is the last one standing… but this time, the twins don’t agree on who their matchmaking target should be, at least not at first. This leads to some entertaining back-and-forth as they each champion their respective picks for his mate while trying unsuccessfully not to be too obvious about it. Not to worry though, Austin (bless his heart) is a more than a little bit dense when it comes to matters of the heart and stayed oblivious to the motives behind their odder than normal behavior. Which leads to more entertaining shenanigans and laugh-out-loud moments! There are a couple of other characters who also severely tried my patience (you’ll know them when you meet them) but even they play into the humor & the eventual romance and are even further examples of how brilliant this author is with character development.

I have a soft spot in my heart for best-friends-fall-in-love romances, so even if I hadn’t already been dying to read His Amish Sweetheart this trope would have rocketed it to the top of my TBR list. I loved Hannah and I was on her side all the way through. She’s sweet, loyal and gracious, and she loves selflessly. She’s also quite savvy, and I enjoyed watching her help Austin make his dream of a storefront into a reality. Something else I loved was watching Benji really come into his own in this book, as more than just Alfie’s sidekick. He’s the twin with the least guile and (I think) the most sensitive heart but he often stays more in the shadows of his more outspoken & wilier (though still just as delightful) brother. However, Beckstrand gives him plenty of chances to shine in his very own spotlight in His Amish Sweetheart and I just could not be happier about it.

Bottom Line: His Amish Sweetheart was well worth the wait! With her trademark humor and warmth, Beckstrand gives us yet another delightful romance with hilariously endearing characters that keep all your emotions engaged as the story progresses. (Side note: I also appreciated that a character in the community had Lyme Disease and that Beckstrand brought attention to some of its more debilitating symptoms, ones that mirrored my own experience. It’s nice to feel seen in fiction, isn’t it?) Alfie and Benji will take over your heart and refuse to return it to you, but you absolutely cannot miss getting to know them on the pages of this fabulous series from a highly talented author!

I have been holding onto the ARC of this book since 2020, when it was called Austin. I loved the first two books in the series and was so excited to read the final chapter. But the pandemic caused the release date to be pushed back, and then the publisher also decided to change up the cover and title (apparently Amish fiction with only an Amish man on the cover don't sell as well or something). It was worth the wait!

Austin is a hot mess in this book, and it made him exceedingly frustrating. He was charming but clueless, and at times I wanted to shake him. The love triangle is not my favorite trope, but overall the story here is satisfying, especially in the end. Alfie and Benji - and their helpers for this story - truly stole the show.

You don't have to have read the books in this series in order, although some of the community drama will make more sense if you have. I do recommend the earlier books in this series - Andrew, Abraham - as well as the Honeybee Sisters books which also have a tie in to the larger setting/community.

"His Amish Sweetheart" introduces readers to another of the Petersheim brothers. This time we meet Andrew, who is too ambitious and handsome for his own good. He seems to be disregarding Hannah, the lovely woman who has been his good friend for life, and instead focuses on Priscilla, another potential wife whose personality is not nearly as attractive as it appears. In order to send things in a positive direction, Austin's younger brothers and their cousins get involved, with hilarious results. The kids definitely steal the show in this delightful Amish romance novel. Some unique turns of phrase also add interest and provide insights into the characters and their thoughts.

Readers who desire a clean read, without violence, strong language, or overt intimacy will appreciate this latest offering about the Petersheim brothers. The Christian message is subtle. Those who appreciate and seek out novels about Amish people will find this to be a welcome addition to their reading list. Although part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone.

I received this novel from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

His Amish Sweetheart is Book 3 in author Jennifer Beckstrand’s The Petersheim Brothers Series. This book features Austin and his 9-year-old twin brothers, Alfie and Benji. Austin has decided that Priscilla (Scilla) is the girl for him. She is one of the prettiest girls in their community. Hannah has been his best friend since grade school and happens to be in love with him. The twins are ready for Austin to marry and move out so they can have their bedroom back.
I loved the characters and storyline in this book. The Petersheim mother is always a favorite of mine. She can discern if a person is good or faking it. There are a few twists in this story and some bad people. The author has included some life lessons that are note worthy. Humor is used exceptionally to lighten the mood in places.
I recommend this to lovers of Amish fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It receives a 4-star review from me. A copy was provided by NetGalley but these are my honest words.

This book and the lovable characters are pure joy. Twins Alfie and Benjy are back at work on their plot to get their older brothers hitched and out of the house. The house where they are relegated to the lowest of lows, their dangerous bedroom in the basement. I can't tell you how many times I laughed out loud while reading this book! I wanted to gobble it up by sitting and reading it right straight through. At the same time, I wanted to savor very paragraph, looking for the intrigue of what would happen next.
Austin is the target for the twin's special attention this time. If they can get him married and out, they will have it made. A bedroom back upstairs in a spider and mouse free zone, certain death by rat averted. Trouble is, they can't agree on the future wife for the single man. The choices, Hannah Yutzy who is Austin's best friend and Priscilla Lambright is the pretty librarian in town. Add in two young sisters, schoolmates, who are willing to help the boys with their mission, for a price. Someone may get her heart broken.
I look forward to a Jennifer Beckstrand book just as I would a delicious brownie, better yet, in conjunction with this series a cinnamon roll would be perfect. I want to thank the author, publisher and NetGalley for my advanced reader's copy of this much anticipated third book in the series.

This book was incredibly hard to read, not necessarily because of the plot (which I found interesting). Rather, the writing style wasn't as polished as one would expect from a published work. At first I thought that it fit the book in the first chapter since the viewpoint was from one of the eight year old boys, Alfie. However, the language never shifted. Most sentences seemed to be "subject - verb - etc." which makes for choppy writing and keeps the reader very aware that they are reading every single word. It takes away from the experience of the story.

I loved the twins, of course. I hope they are more books with them in it. I loved Hanna and how helpful she was. I wanted to yell at Austin most of the time. Scilla was so irritating. Austin thinks he wants Scilla because she is pretty but he may find out different. The book was hard to put down and I didn’t want it to end. It was a great story.

I received an advanced copy of the book from NetGalley. This book review is my own opinion.

Good things come to those who wait! This is true with the release of this book. His Amish Sweetheart is the third book in The Petersheim Brothers series. Andrew and Abraham had their stories and now it is Austin’s turn. Their younger twin brothers, Allie and Benji are the cutest things! They’re trying to marry off their brothers so they don’t have to sleep in the cellar.
This is a stand alone novel, but I would read the books in order to enjoy them best. I want to thank the author, Kensington Books and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

My favorite characters in this book were Hannah and the twin brothers who were tired of sleeping in the cellar - a downside to having many children is that you run out of room! The boys hatch a plot to get their brother Austin married and out of the house so that they can finally get a real bedroom.

Austin, however, can't marry until he can support a wife. He wants his own business, a general store where Amish people - including his family members - can also market their goods. It was so interesting to read about the process. He was successful with the help of his best friend Hannah, who also makes the most delicious baked goods and is also a fine artist.

Austin has his eye on Priscilla, the prettiest girl in town - who may also have been the most unlikeable, in my opinion, and her 'organic' recipes were appalling. I thought Austin was too self-centered and oblivious for too long about what was going on around him, and frankly, thought Hannah could have done better. I recommend this book for the twin brothers' antics, Hannah and her recipes, and the process of starting the store.
