On the run for two centuries, from the vampire who caused her accidental turn, Ildaria had finally settled down and much to her surprise, found a life mate, her new boss at a vampire night club, GG. But when the past catches up to her, Ildaria contemplates running again and leaving GG behind even if it means losing out on love.

I haven’t had the chance to read one of the Argeneau series books in a while and it was fun to catch up. Reading these books feels like reconnecting with old friends. I really liked the tough kick-butt Ildaria who is known for getting herself in trouble with the vampire council because of her vigilante ways. GG is a big rough looking guy with a green mohawk, that no one will mess with, but he has a heart of gold. He also has a cute little dog who creates some fun scenes too. All around, I enjoyed this book quite a lot.

Ildrria has spent the past 2 centuries trying to stay on step ahead of her past. Once upon a time, before being turned, she lived with her beloved grandmother and had a pretty good life. Now she is on the run, never really settling anywhere for long, from a man who means her harm.

The problem is...Ildaria hates seeing women abused and has a tendency to step in and act. With her immortal strength, it tends to draw attention. Lucian, the leader from the American Immortals, has had to step in. She could actually be executed for what she has done because the immortals keep a low profile but he decides to bring her home to his area.

She has been staying with a family while working as a server and getting ready to go back to school. She meets GG, aka Joshua and is feeling he may be her mate. GG has strong feelings for her also and after awhile actually tries to avoid being around her which is difficult because she works on his books at his club, also dog sits for him
and lives across the hall from him.

Will she and GG finally give in? Accept the future? What of the man who is searching for Aldaria?

G.G. is human but his mother is immortal, turned after she met her mate. As a child, he unfortunately came into her room during her turn and was traumatized by it. He says he will never be turned. Aldaria is even willing to accept that but who wants to watch their mate grow old and die? G.G's mother is determined to change his mind.

I have read most of the authors series and really enjoy them. This couple hit it off right away and you knew they would be really good friends if not more. They had the same values in life.

So we have a really cute couple with definite turmoil and possibly some danger? Great story!

I am in two completely different minds about Lynsay Sands' Immortal Angel. On the one hand, after several years away from the Argeneau series, it was really fun to be back in the world of "vampires" born of nanos and Atlantis, especially since we get to see some old favorites. But on the other hand, this book was not quite there for me.

It started with a prologue that felt out of place reading it (I hadn't read the blurb recently, and was confused at first who the hero was), and really didn't come to much later in the story—it was ultimately unnecessary and not the best start to this book.

But having said that, what came after was rather enjoyable. G.G. (Joshua) was so very likable as a hero—kind, gentle, adorable with his tiny dog. And Ildaria was a good heroine—strong but vulnerable, reluctant to take help but caring of others. I liked the two of them together, and although I wish we could've had more of their interactions, seen their dates rather than been told about them, all in all, I was pleased with their pairing.

The ending was only okay for me. I liked the twist, though I was able to predict it early on, and was left feeling a little bereft for one particular character—I wouldn't be upset to read a book for them in the future. I felt like it missed certain moments that we deserved to see as readers, again, rather than being told about them.

Ultimately, I don't regret reading this book and it reminded me why I enjoyed the first 20-ish Argeneau books, but it wasn't my favorite. I will definitely be looking for more of these titles in future though.

Another great book in the Argeneau series. I love Ildaria and GG. Ildaria keeps trying to do the right thing even though it puts her at risk of being discovered. Forced to change her plans again, she keeps trying.

When she meet GG, sparks fly. What do you do when your lifemate wants to stay human?
Both have to confront the past if they are to have a future together!

Can't wait for the next book!

Immortal Angel addresses Ildaria Garcia's life. Ildaria's story began 200 hundred years ago when she was very young. She was in what she believed to be a fight for her life, she bit a vampire and by so doing turned herself accidentally. She has been on the run ever since believing the vampire wanted revenge. Immortal Angel brings you into the present where IIdaria recent exploits as an avenging angel have bought her to the attention of the Enforcers. As a result, she has made her way into the Argeneau family and is currently living with Marguerite, who seems to specialize in matchmaking.
As luck would have it, Marguerite has found Ildaria's lifemate in the form of Green Giant, better known as G.G., who owns and runs The Night Club. A vampire bar for everyone. One of the few mortals to know about vampires. As a human who watched his own mother go through the transformation at a very young age, he refuses to change even for his life mate. Ildaria takes a job as GG's bookkeeper only to have the past that she has been running from finally catch up with her.
This is another great book from Lindsay Sands that gives you another look at the Argeneau family and is good for some excitement and laughs. It also touches on the subject of women's safety it was coming to the rescue of women in trouble and getting caught on video doing so that bought Ildaria to the attention of the Enforcers.

I squealed with delight with I was accepted to read the newest Argeneau book by Lynsey Sands. This is a long running vampire romance series set in the same world but with standalone books with no cheating and a HEA. This book revolves around a thought to be “bad girl” vampire, Angel. Angel has gone through some trouble and has had to relocate to a new city. Angel is supposed to be trying to live a quiet life but just can’t seem to do that very well. After a series of events she ends up meeting GG at a vampire bar he owns and after talking with her and he getting offers her a job. GG is a human whose mother has been turned so he knows all about immortals. The sexual tension is smoking hot between these two characters and they just can’t keep their hands off of each other. Angel’s past comes knocking and she is going to need GG to help her defeat it. Will he be able to step up and get past his own demons to do it? I enjoyed this book. It is a solid addition to the series and I look forward to the next one.

Continuation of the Argeneau series!!! 31 books and counting. I have read them all and have started to re-read early ones. Enthralls the second time around, too. Absolutely can not wait for the next one. Lynsay captures the imagination whether it's paranormal or historical.

Let me preface my review by saying that I am a big fan of Lynsay Sands, both her Argeneau Series and her historical romances. My favorite thing about her books is that my interest never dies out. They are series that continue to share stories of truly unique characters. I can happily say that she has done it again!

The prologue was an intriguing way to introduce the main character. The heroine swooping in like a cross between Wonder Woman and Black Widow. A wonderfully strong female character which is my very favorite type. I was slightly put off when at first I thought we were being introduced to the hero. The opinion he held of his schoolteacher/date regarding her reaction to being kidnapped made him unappealing and I was delighted that was not the case.

Instead we are introduced to a tall, muscular, tattooed man with a Mohawk who goes by the name G.G. He is an amazing listener, in the know on immortals and loves his cute cuddly dog. Of course, no good book would have an easy progression into coupledom. There is plenty of intrigue and angst. Foremost, which is the fact the G.G. witnessed the painful turning of his mother from mortal to immortal. Ildaria had personal trauma in her past as well. It was interesting to see how the author handled the trauma and even addressed the use of therapy for both characters. The author does a wonderful job developing this part of the storyline and did not move it forward at an unrealistically fast pace.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys witty, strong female characters and the men who love them.

The 31st installment of Lynsay Sands Argeneau series is about Ildaria and G.G. Guiscard. G.G. has been making appearances in the previous books for a long time. He owns the Night Club where Vampires can go for a few drinks. He witnessed his mother’s turn and was scarred by it.

Ildaria is a newer character first introduced in Vampires Like It Hot. She’s one of the badass vampire pirates who is a magnet for bad situations. At the end of that book she moved to Montana with Jess, the heroine of VLIH. She’s been on the run, hiding from the head of the South American council, and constantly looking over her shoulder.

Ildaria is caught on camera and shipped off to Canada. Where she and G.G. link up when she visits his Night Club running an errand for Marguerite.

Did I like this book? Yes.
I didn’t love it like I’ve loved the other books. I felt like it was rushed in some spots. I wanted more to their story. There wasn’t a lot of time spent in G.G. mind I missed his thoughts on falling in love. It was more telling us what happened instead of showing it.

I didn’t like the villain aspect. I would have like it a lot better if the solution to that tension was different.

Overall, this book didn’t feel like the past 30 books. I will continue to read the Argeneau series because Lynsay Sand’s has created a complex and fascinating world. I was disappointed because it feels like G.G. got shafted. I think if changes were made it would make the book flow smooth and it would feel less like telling instead of showing.

I loved GG and ildelia! They both had so much to overcome in order to really connect. Then the twist with Juan was amazing and heartbreaking. I loved getting some Julius and clan as well. The only downside was feeling like an important part of the story happened “off screen”...I wished we could have gotten to walk through that with him....if you know, you know.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If I'm being totally honest, I requested this book on a bit of a whim. I had previously only read the first book in this series and it was just okay for me (3 stars), and I wasn't really attached enough to any of the characters to read on. But, I have a HUGE problem with "First Book Syndrome". So, when I saw this book available for review, I thought, what the heck? Jump forward and see if it's worth reading on. I'd already lived through the world building. And, I really enjoyed it and will definitely be reading on.

This is a Vampire PNR series, but at the very bottom of the cheesy scale. It reads a bit more romcom Vampire PNR. I didn't cringe once, and the characters were very endearing. The plot cost it a star. The romance part was stellar and fun, but the overall plot didn't always make sense to me, even in the end when we get a lot of "answers". It just seemed a bit convoluted. And, I'm sitting here thinking about the whole book, and I don't get at all why that bit with the FBI agent made it past edits... I cannot see the point of that moment at all. Maybe it made sense at some stage and edits removed whatever made it relevant? I kept expecting that to come back into play. Still, overall, it was a really enjoyable read. Now I need to go back and read books 2-30! Hopefully with some more kickass heroines like Ildaria.

Ildaria has been on the run since she was turned immortal over 200 years ago. Now, her vigilante ways have drawn the attention of Lucian Argeneau and Ildaria finds herself in Canada under his watchful eye. Of course, this course of action lands Ildaria right in the path of G.G., a British club owner and her mortal life mate. Fans of Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series know how Ildaria and G.G.'s story plays out; Sands has been pairing Immortals and their life mates (some mortal, some not) for over thirty books now. Having read the entire Argeneau series, it is wonderful to see Sands changing up her once-predictable plots and not including the same Immortal history lesson in every book. With that said, Sands does touch on some of the history, though it is very condensed versus previous books. I've always felt you could pick up any Argeneau story without having to start at the first book and you would still be able to enjoy the plot. However, with less Immortal history and the inclusion of many characters from previous books, this feels like one of the few Argeneau books where previous knowledge of the Immortal world is necessary to really follow along.

I really enjoyed Immortal Angel. Lynsay Sands' writing is easy to follow and readers can easily get swept away with her stories. I felt like this particular Argeneau novel was written for fans or previous readers of the series, since much of the usual background information was left out and many previous characters make a reappearance. I thought Sands did a great job creating yet another unique plot to get the Immortal and mortal to their happily-ever-after, no small feat after 30+ novels. Immortal Angel was a good read, recommended for fans of vampires/paranormal romance, specifically those who have already dipped their toes into Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series.

Not a bad book, but not stellar. I found it a bit predictable. I like the characters, but once the lifemate details entered the picture it all felt very silly to me. I did like the resolution at the end.

This book is in turn funny, irreverent and steamy. I laughed out loud in several places. Mary's eloquent depiction of what would happen with her son's mate after his death was one of them.

I love this series I was one of the very first series I read years ago and this book is just as good as book one.

I enjoy the characters, the storyline is a little heavier in this than some but it is definitely balanced out with the humor in the book.

Loving the newer characters along with the fact that this author brings her older characters through and doesn't just leave them behind in the next book.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love Lynsay Sands! I've loved her books since I picked up A Quick Bite by her in 2008 and I haven't looked back.

In the 12 years of reading her books, I have loved the evolution of the Argeneau family. From quirky romcom's to present day more serious (but still hilarious) books that have evolved with the times and with Ms. Sands writing style. Immortal Angel is no different.

Do you have to read all the books? No, but it's nice too. She does a good job with explaining everything, but the earlier few books do have a lot more detail on what the nanos, life mates, etc are.

For 200 years, Ildaria Garcia has been on the run. She has made her way into the Argeneau family and with the help of our favorite matchmaking aunt, Marguerite, she she has found her life mate.

Green Giant, better known as G.G., owns and runs The Night Club. A vampire bar for everyone. One of the few mortals to know about vampires, he gives Ildaria a job. As a human who watched his own mother go through the transformation at such a young age, he refuses to change even for his life mate.

Ildaria's past catches up to her and now she has the decision, run or stay and fight? As a badass chick Ildaria has had a few run ins that have caused some troubles for the vampires.

I do hope that some of the players from this book get their own in the future.

I look forward to the rest of the ride!

I have faithfully read this entire series, and this newest installment feels lackluster. Angel is not as likable as I am used to and the dramatic tension of the plot with Juan just didn’t feel very satisfying. Still love this world and the reoccurring characters, but this book will rate amongst my least favorite entries.
