I liked the main character a lot in this book as well as her lifemate G.G. I enjoyed the book except for all the sex parts. There is a lot of sex in this book. #ImmortalAngel #NetGalley

GG knows of immortals but he doesn’t want to become one. He is happy with his mortal life. Thank you very much and then he meets his angel. Will he stand firm and risk losing the one for him?
Immortal Angel is the latest installment in Lynsay Sands Argeneau series. I enjoyed getting to know GG better. He has his reasons for refusing to turn but he never expected to meet Ildaria. Ildaria who is an immortal and possibly a life mate. Iidaria who must watch him die in thirty years. I love that Ms. Sands allowed Ildaria an opportunity to stop running. Ildaria has been running and has found a place to call home but can she trust the feelings of kinship and safety? Can she trust GG to be there for her? Finding out is half the fun as G.G and Ildaria find their way through pain and fear. I loved seeing Ildaria come to grips with her past as she fights to accept a future. The only question is … will G.G be by her side? I loved finding out in this well written addition to this world Ms. Sands has created and I can’t wait to see where she will take us next.

This is hard as lynsay sands is one of my favorite authors but the book is not up to her usual standards. There was too much back story info dump. And the whole plot twist, the reason for the villian was dumb. A simple conversation and the whole problem resolved. And the her vigilanty behavior was not addresses. It came from a place of real trauma but the situations that she save the women from were pushing it. It was poorly done. It is an important topic to address but this was a contrite, almost added to be relevant but not really thought through attempt. Julian and lucern were a real problem and they just shrugged their shoulders and their solutions were not good. This was not good. She has lost something here and it makes me sad

Lynsay Sands - the queen of paranormal romance books.
This book, although from the series, can be read alone. I did not read previous books and did not need to. The author perfectly in-tunes you to the plot.
I liked the humor in this book. I am not fan of vampires, but Ms Sand's books are exception.
She does include steamy romance and plenty of paranormal aspects in here books, so if you like that kind of thing - go ahead and grab any if not all of her books and start reading!

The Argeneau vampire romance series never disappoints.
Lynsay Sands always includes humor, witty dialogue, romance and steamy moments.
This is the 31st book in this series, and although they can be read as a standalone, it is fun to see how the main characters from previous books have matured and how their romances and stories are continuing.
Fans of paranormal romance and urban fantasy should check out the series.

Lyndsay Sands has done it again! Another unputdownable installment of her Argeneau series that had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I cannot wait for the next!

I loved this book. Lyndsay Sands took the framework that she has done in the past and made something new with it. There was intrigue and tension, despite the insta-love that is expected with this series. I also really liked that the immortals had pets; somehow it humanized them more.

Ildaria has a troubled past, and ties to recent couple Jess and Raffele, and with new troubles, ends up being pointed to JJ for a job and later, help; of course by Marguerite.
There's some stalking, both from South America and from a fed, but this really dives in to the mental health and dealing with your past- both have deep seated issues they have to address before they can really get a happy ending.

Fantasy Romance

Toronto, Canada – The Present

Ildaira Garcia (actually Angelina Ildaria Sophia Lupita Garcia Pimienta) was turned into an Immortal when she was fourteen -- two-hundred years ago. She always feels hunted by the Immortal Juan Villaverde, who accidentally changed her and has continued to hunt her, so she is very distrustful of everyone. Villaverde is head of the South American Immortal Council and very powerful. He held power where she lived in the Dominican Republic, and Ildaria has a very strong reason to believe he means to harm her. Since escaping the Dominican Republic, she has continued to remain on the run. Now that she is living and going to college in Canada, Ildaria is under the rule of Lucian Argeneau, head of the North American Immortal Council. Lucian has punished her for her rogue vigilantism. Whenever Ildaria sees people in threatening situations, she cannot help but try to save them. When any such attempt is caught on digital media, it means trouble for all Immortals as they are unbelievably fast and strong, far more than mortals. Lucian made her move from Montana to Toronto for such a vigilante action, and now he moves her from night college classes to day classes as there are fewer ‘situations’ during the day. This means she must start her classes over yet again, so she needs to find a job to pay for them. More trouble arrives when she learns Villaverde still hunts her. Should she leave to escape yet again?

Immortals are vampires, but they now use blood banks for their blood source. Ildaria goes to a nightclub frequented by Immortals to get a blood packet for Marguerite, the woman at whose home she is currently living. The nightclub owner GG, a mortal, has the blood. This is Ildaria’s first meeting with GG, a nickname for Green Giant, but around Ildaria it could stand for Gentle Giant. At six feet, six inches tall, very muscular with tattoos and piercings, GG has an intimidating look. He also sports a bright green Mohawk haircut. His tiny dog H.D., a Bishon Frise and toy Poodle mix, dislikes people, but he loves Ildaria. Impressed, GG offers her a job as his bookkeeper and as H.D.’s caregiver while GG is working. He also provides her with a very nice apartment above the nightclub. The immediate attraction between them grows with a lot of help from H.D and a few other meddling characters. The main problem is GG (real name Joshua James Simpson Guiscard) saw his mother change to Immortal when she became his Immortal stepfather’s Life Mate. GG was very young, and now is determined to never become an Immortal.

While this is the 31st book in this series and I have not read any of the others, it was still easy to get into and follow the storyline. Obviously, many characters from previous stories show up, but they are all subtly introduced, so it only adds interest to the story. IMMORTAL ANGEL is a charming and humorous vampire filled story with hot romance.

Ildaria Garcia has been on the run for a century. She also has some vigilante tendencies that tend to get her in trouble with the Enforcers. When she gets in trouble again she is forced to quit school and finds a job working for a vampire night club. Joshua James Simpson Guiscard (GG) has known about immortals all his life and is leary of what they can do. Unfortunately he can’t get his new employee out of his mind.

Ildaria has been running since she was a teenager. She doesn’t trust anyone and is leary about putting down roots. She doesn’t trust men and finding her lifemate means learning to trust, especially when it comes to sex. Ildaria was a strong, independent, and dangerous heroine who I really enjoyed. I think her and GG were adorable together and really hope they popup more in future books.

GG is human and has appeared in the series before. He refuses to be turned due to the trauma of witnessing his mother's turning. It isn’t until he could potentially lose Ildaria that he realizes he needs to change if he wants to be there for her. I have always liked GG so I was excited to see him finally find a mate. I do wish that he hadn’t taken an immortal's words to heart and changed himself thinking it would make Ildaria like him more. Hopefully he goes back to being himself in future books.

Overall, I am still enjoying this series after 31 books and I cannot wait to read the next one.

Immortal on the run finds her life mate!

I really love the fact that these books don’t have to be read in order. I know that some of the characters in this book have been the subject of previous books, but everything in the book was explained as if it were a stand alone. I have only read the last two books in this series and I wasn’t lost at all. I enjoyed this couple and their issues.

Ildaria Garcia is has been in hiding for 200 years. She was attacked at a young age by a immortal and in fighting him off, she bit him and and swallowed some of his blood, which was how she was turned. The vampire that attacked her is the head of the South American Council and has been trying to find her to return her to the Dominican Republic.

Though Ildaria acted in self defense, she knows he will use his position on the council to have her punished or executed for what she did. Ildaria thinks it isn’t only revenge that has him so fired up to find her but the law that any immortal can only turn one person and most save that for their life mate if that person is a mortal.

After leaving the Dominican Republic, Ildaria ended up in Montana and was forced to leave there because she was performing some vigilante acts while looking for a man who attacked another student at the university she was attending for Accounting. Lucien Argeneau, the leader of the North American Council had Ildaria move from Montana to Canada because she had been drawing attention to their kind when she was caught on camera performing activities that a mortal female should not be able to do. Like throwing grown men across a street.

When the same happens in Canada due to no fault of her own, Ildaria has to change her ways or face execution for continually bringing attention to immortals. So Ildaria gets a job at the local immortal bar from the owner, a guy named G.G. (for Green Giant). G.G. is six feet five or more and has tattoos and a green mohawk. It soon becomes apparent that he is a possible life mate for her.

I enjoyed this story quite a bit because there was a good romance between G.G. and Ildaria and some great conflict was brought into the mix. G.G. had seen his mother being turned when he was a young child and seen how the change caused her to suffer greatly. He was traumatized and has never forgotten so though he owns two bars for immortals and is around them a lot, he never wants to fall for one or be turned. Plus he is not the kind of guy that would go after an employee.

The characters were great in this book especially Ildaria and G.G. I loved the scene where she tells him how she grew up and what happened to her in the Dominican Republic. There were also quite a few supporting characters, the best of which is G.G.’s small dog named H.D. The dog plays a big part in the book and is so cute.

The romance is quite steamy and also a source of laughs at times. When immortal life mates find each other at the beginning, they can’t even touch each other without wanting to have a “shag fest”. Also when they do that, it is not uncommon for both parties to pass out after the deed. They can also have shared dreams which turn out to be pretty steamy.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

I was very happy when I got this book through NetGalley, in exchange for a review, since I have been a fan of Lynsay Sands for a long time, and I especially enjoy the Argeneau Series. I liked this book though not as much as some of the previous ones, maybe because there have been so many of them and they all seem to bleed into each other. I like G.G. since he appeared in lots of books over the years and I am glad he found somebody, but somehow his change was just glossed over and it left me wanting more. Overall it was a fun read, with some steamy romance and a little mystery, though I could not help but feel sorry for Juan.

Lynsay Sands has done it again. Every Argeneau story that I have ever picked up I have absolutely loved, but this will definitely be one of my favorites.
GG (Green Giant) was originally introduced in Marguerite Argneau Notte's story & I have been impatiently waiting for the tall, tattooed, green-haired rebel to get his own story. Of course, his life-mater would have to be as interesting as he is & not an immortal that we've been introduced to yet!

In typical Lynsay Sands fashion, this was a good book. Ildaria and G.G. were an interesting couple. I appreciate that Sands is keeping up with the times now and illustrating that a healthy way to deal with problems is to seek help instead of pushing them down. Or that your partner is not your therapist so you can't expect them to solve all your brain issues. This is where the romance seems more realistic to me.

I'm not sure how I feel about where Sands is taking life-mates in her books these days. The love triangle is one of my least favorite tropes. But this won't stop me from reading her books. :)

This is the best book in this series in a while. Some of them have focused too much on the what’s-life mate is. This one has that but also has so much more. The dog is a delightful addition and I LOVED the characters. I have to admit I kinda want a guy with tattoos and a green Mohawk now.
I also loved the little historical bits.
Over all just a wonderful read.

helllloooooo steamy sex scenes with my favorite paranormal twist. Lucian cracks me up. It’s not that he is trying to be funny, but being one of the oldest immortals, he just doesn’t do small talk and other socially appropriate things. He sure is blunt and no-nonsense. Sometimes those scenes make me want to reread Lucian’s story. The resolutions are satisfying and I hope there are tidbits about how they are doing in future books. I love this world that Sands has built. I love all the character names...the best names can be found in this series. Anytime she has a book release day, I am nowhere to be found, enjoying my escape in the newest storyline.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I'll be honest- I've read all of the Argeneau series. Some were wonderful, some forgettable, but after a while you start to worry if they will get stale or formulaic. So far, they've had major and minor story arcs through the 30 or so books, with some arcs covering several books. In this, we're still working on the South America angle, and our pair is JJ, aka the Jolly green giant, from the bar (finally!) and a new Immortal to us- Angelina Ildaria Sophia Lupita Garcia Pimienta.
I think I l like how this played out- yes, there were some pretty big misunderstandings, but I think this is handled well- I know the bad(ish) guy thinks he's not but the fact he was kind of a creep made it easier for me to be happy he's not the OTP in this. I'm sure he'll get a redemption story and love some way down the line, but I disliked him enough that I'd have to really be interested in the blurb to read.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. Wow what can I say about this title it was just an awesome read. This book was just something so wonderfully different I’ve never quite read anything like this. You should read to find out you won’t be disappointed. I’m definitely going to read more by this author.

Immortal Angel was a beautifully unassuming story that wrapped itself easily around my heart. I found myself falling for its gentle vulnerability, its quiet strength, and it unending determination. This was a perfect journey to catch my attention and hold it captive with its astonishing twists on vampires and their lore reaching from the long forgotten past to the foreseeable future. This is what a great story is made of!

Angelina has been on the run hiding from a powerful enemy, so when she finds her life up-ended one more time, she is ready to just call it quits and go hide on her own. Meeting her next boss changes her mind since he is nothing like she would have ever imagined. She is taken back by his quiet yet challenging personality. She finds him refreshing and a good change in her life. Joshua is just glad to make a new friend and a surprisingly talented employee. When Angelina's deadly past catches up to her, Joshua must decide if she is worth the danger she brings to his life. Can life truly give her such a wonderful gift, or is it just setting her up to fail miserably?

I had no idea what to expect when I walked into this story, and I was wonderfully surprised. I watched two lonely hearts find each other and slowly discover the promise and hope the other gives them each day. What a stunning promise of a future that lies before them once their worries are conquered and they find the peace they are desperately searching for. I simply couldn't get enough of this incredible journey! It shredded every part of my heart, but I loved it all the more for it. My heart thrives on challenges, and the challenge that faced me was one that blew all of my boundaries to dust.

Lyndsay Sands is a truly gifted author who touched my heart in more then one way. Her characters were phenomenal, and I truly hope to read more of this fascinating series. The twists and turns I found along the way left me begging her for more. Oh, what an amazing discovery of this great series! I highly recommend any of her paranormal books if they are even close to as incredible as this one is!
