The novel was great! I enjoyed the fusion of Dominican culture without focusing on it too much, I don’t remember if Jess had a book, but I she did I don’t remember reading it. I love GG so I thought it was wonderful that he had a book. This book should have a trigger warning, there are themes of child molestation and rape, so I have warned you. I thought the way author wrote about those themes was tasteful and moved the plot along. There was a lot of detail in this book, but the details made me feel like I was there instead of distracting me. I read the whole book in a day, I was so invested in Angelina and GG that I couldn’t put the book down. I found the plot intriguing and original even though the characters were not directly related the to the Argeneau family, GG was mentioned several times so it felt like a continuation of their story. Overall, cute and cultured Argeneau love story!

I was able to receive an advance reader copy of the book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've enjoyed the Argeneau series immensely, I worried that eventually Lynsay Sands would start to make her books to stereotypical and predictable. However I found while reading Immortal Angel that Lynsay Sands seems to take pleasure in making her characters new and original. She creates backgrounds and histories for each one of them. I found that I'm interested in hearing about what is going to happen to each one of them.

This contribution to the series follows GG, who we've met before as the owner of the immortal bar, and Ildaria Garcia who we met as one of Vasco's crewmates in book number 28 - "Vampires Like it Hot". Ildaria was accidently turned almost 200 years ago and has been on the run ever since. When Ildaria meets GG neither one of them was looking for a relationship. Both of them have things in their past that could keep them from being truly happy. However could they each be the answer to fulfilling each others needs?

The only reason for its 4 stars is I'm disappointed in the ending, I felt it was a little rushed but overall it was still an enjoyable read!

Lynsay Sands is one of my instant buy authors for when I want a binge worthy romance--highly recommend her historical romance series The Highland Brides. I am also a huge fan of the previous Argeneau Series, so I was excited when I was approved for Immortal Angel arc-- thank you so much HarperCollins Publishers Avon.

The story was a bit slow for me in certain places and I was sometimes frustrated with how the author would use conversations between the heroine and her friend to tell the reader what happened in the beginning of the hero and heroine's relationship. I was also annoyed by the repetition of information being stated over and over again by the characters. It just felt unnecessary.

That being said, I flew through this book without stopping. I loved Joshua (G.G.) since he was first introduced early on in the series, so I was glad to finally see who the author matched him with. Without spoiling the story, I thought Joshua (G.G.) and Ildaria's relationship offered a unique addition to the book series on how trauma can affect a new relationship and I appreciated how delicately the author allowed the characters to heal.

Overall, I would recommend this book to the fans of The Argeneau series and recommend anyone interested in this series to begin with book 1, A Quick Bite.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was hoping this would be a kick ass paranormal romance but I was disappointed. I was completely turned off by the hero who in the beginning contemplates if he should have risked his date getting shot so he could fight off the men who now have him captive. Then he gets turned on by seeing this "angel" fight off these men in a tight leather outfit. It didn't get better after that. Had a hard time getting through it.

Been a while since I have read a Lynsay Sands novel but I do still love her style and the worlds that she creates. This finds Ildaria Garcia constantly looking over her shoulder for danger. Even though she is an immortal she could still be killed. Trying to make ends meet and finding a new home in Canada she meets Joshua (GG) Guiscard who runs a club and who is very mortal. Can these two figure a way to make their attraction last? Great characters in this story along with smooth prose. "A copy of this book was provided by HarperCollins Publishers Avon via NetGalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are honest and are my own views."

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of IMMORTAL ANGEL (Book 31 of the Argeneau Series) by Lynsay Sands in exchange for an honest review. Ildaria Garcia is an immortal whose traumatic childhood keeps derailing her present. When Ildaria’s vigilante tendencies get recorded video, the North American Counsel notices and acts to discourage those activities. First, they made Ildaria move and lose a semester of college. This time, Ildaria lost another semester of college and is going to be forced into day classes. Ildaria is grateful she wasn’t executed for her actions, but the loss of funds caused by Ildaria having to repeat the same semester a third time plus the extra costs associated with the increased blood intake needed for day classes has put Ildaria in a fiscal pickle. When Joshua James Simpson Guiscard, a.k.a. G.G., offers Ildaria bookkeeping and pet sitting jobs along with free rent, she jumps at the opportunity. Ildaria and G.G. soon learn they are possible life mates, but G.G. is determined to remain mortal due to his own childhood trauma. Meanwhile, Ildaria is being stalked by a wicked specter from her past.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. Ildaria is one of the pirates we met in an earlier book, and G.G. is a recurring character. I recommend this book to fans of the series and fans of vampire romances.

You would think after thirty books this series would get a bit stale but I have to say it never does for me. The author never fails to surprise me. This book reunites us with some of my favorite characters. Marguerite, Julius, Lucian, Mortimer, Sarah, Tiny and Mirabeau all make guest appearances. This book features one of my favorite minor characters G.G. We met G.G. as the human with the green Mohawk who knows about immortals and runs a blood bar for them in England. He is buying the blood bar in Canada from Lucian. Ildaria may be over two hundred years old but she reads as much younger to me. That may be because she really hasn’t had a chance to grow normally as she has been on the run. But I feel for her and really like her.
This story is filled with unexpected twists and turns and I absolutely LOVE it.

It was okay but could have been better. There was a lot of 'fluff' and things were repeated over and over. Everything felt a little rushed. The best character was the dog.

This is not my first Lynsay Sands book and when it comes to this series these books are hit and miss for me. I enjoyed the characters in the story, and the storyline was a good one but this story fell a little short for me. It wasn't a bad story but the flow of it was slow, and the flow of the story is just as important to me as the characters in the story. The chemistry between Ildaria and G.G was undeniable and there were definitely some steamy scenes between the two. You will love them from the very beginning. H.D also played a huge part in this story and you will love him. Ildaria has been on the run for years, so this story has a lot of suspense, it also has a moment that will make you laugh out loud but to be honest there isn't really much that goes on in the story. The suspense will keep you wanting to know the end, and it was good to finally learn what Juan's deal was but to be honest, that was it. The story and the ending was okay.

I was so excited to hear that GGs story was coming out. Most of that was me as a mom. If my child was mortal and I immortal, I would be constantly consumed with worry.
Ildaria was a character that I was intrigued by in previous books. She was so mysterious and kind and well, interesting... I wanted her to have her happily ever after (when I realized who she was- the gal from the pirate ship in Vampires Like it Hot)
Both of these characters are plagued with insecurities and they are allowing their past pains to decide their future happiness. To me, that past was something that made it easier for the other to understand.
I love them as a couple. I love GG as a person and I’m so happy they got their HEA.
Saw the twist coming. It’s okay to see twists coming, ya know? That doesn’t make it a bad thing. Something being predictable isn’t a bad thing it’s just a thing. Sometimes things just click and that makes them predictable. Or we know the World the stories exist in. So, don’t consider it a bad thing if you see something coming.

I loved the character GG when he was introduced in previous Sands' books. Now he gets his own story! It was a fun light addition to the Immortals story line.

Another fantastic book in this series. Inmortal Angel was everything I hoped it would be for Joshua (G.G.) and Ildaria. They were the perfect couple and had wonderful chemistry. I could not put this book down. What a fabulous story.

Another great read from Lynsay Sands! This story centers around Ildaria Garcia and Joshua (G.G.) Guiscard. Ildaria is an immortal that has a problem staying out of the spotlight. She was accidentally turned 200 years ago at the age of 14 while defending herself from a sexual attack. Since that time, she defends those that are preyed upon by bad people and does her best to stay hidden from the man who accidentally sired her. Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but with cell phones and their cameras always watching, video proof of her kind is drawing attention that the immortal population and Ildaria doesn't need. In order to deflect attention, she is moved to Canada to lay low. It is there that she meets G.G. He is the owner of an immortal nightclub, even though he is mortal. His mother was turned when he was 5 and he accidentally saw the worst part of her turning. It was such a horrific experience that he has sworn to never get turned himself but live out his mortal existence, much to his mother's dismay. There is an immediate connection between Ildaria and G.G. that can't be ignored. Learning that they are possible life mates starts a journey that neither of them seem to be ready for, but can't deny. There is passion and drama and mental hurdles that will need to be conquered in order for them to be together, but will their issues from the past be too much to overcome? Buy this book and find out! It's worth every minute spent reading!

I enjoyed this latest book in the Argeneau series about immortals and their life mates. Ildaria has been a vampire for over 200 years but the sexual trauma she experienced in her childhood has kept her from romantic relationships. It has also turned her into a vigilante who saves women from attackers. Unfortunately, her heroic efforts end up on social media which is against vampire rules. Sent away for a fresh start, Ildaria meets, G.G., a mortal bartender at a vampire nightclub. She realizes that she can't read his thoughts and that he is her life mate. Finding out how Ildaria became a vampire makes G.G. realize that he needs to take it slowly so he can show her what a healthy sexual relationship is like. G.G. doesn't want to be turned so that causes some problems in their relationship as does the return of a man from her past. Recommended.
