This was a very action packed and exciting read. I really like the main characters Maggie and Jack and the dark secret that they share that binds them together. With lots of forensic science, police work and some really bad guys thrown into the mix made Black’s latest instalment another great addition to this awesome series.

Good mystery. I enjoyed the forensic aspects of the book, and I also liked all the information on fraud. It was interesting to understand how people run scams by robo calling. It was fun trying to figure out exactly what was going on, the story definitely kept you guessing. Apparently, this is an on going series, so there is a back story that I knew little about., a little more info would of lent to a better stand alone, as Jack is definitely a mystery. Regardless, this a solid police procedural type book, and a good read.

What a tangled web of a story! I loved it from beginning to end. These characters are awesome and so many changes to come for them! I can't wait to read more about them and what direction they go next

Forensics expert Maggie Gardiner has many personal problems she has to deal with in this book. One being an ex husband. And one being her job. There are multiple deaths that must be solved. This is part of an ongoing series

Forensics expert Maggie Gardiner is still struggling with her conscience after helping detective Jack Renner with a case almost a year before. Renner will do anything to see that justice is meted out, whether it’s legal or not. Now she’s back in his orbit after a new murder. Maggie’s ex husband Rick, also a homicide cop, is sure that Renner is a vigilante . What will Maggie do to protect Renner and what happens when a bloody fingerprint points to Rick?
