To Coach a Killer is a fun and entertaining book. The characters are engaging and well developed. The plot is well crafted with several twists and turns. I really enjoyed Cat's interactions with the other characters, especially her BFF Gilley. I'm glad Cat has her own series and look forward to other books in this series.

In the newest in Victoria Laurie’s To Coach a Killer, Cat Cooper continues with her quest to establish herself as a life coach but will she and her sidekick (aka assistant and friend) Gilley be able to survive her new client’s curse? Torn between Detective Steve Shepherd and the mysterious Maks Grinkov while trying to solve the murder of Shepherd’s wife, it doesn’t seem as though her could be any more complex.

This book has a quirky and fun cast of characters and a plot that twists and turns with every page. If you are looking for an entertaining beach read, give this book a try. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy.

Second book in the series. Cat Cooper and Gillie poke their noses into the mystery of a real estate agent’s death while helping to break a client’s curse. For fans of Abby Cooper (Cat’s sister) Books also by Victoria Laurie.

This sequel (which is a spin-off from Abby Cooper) is a fun new series. Catherine, aka "Cat" Cooper, is living her life, when it is shaken up by a murder, along with a mystery, and romantic entanglements. I hope this series continues, and that Abby makes more cameos.

This series is everything I never knew I needed as a reader. Humor, check. Mystery, check. Characters I care about, check. This writer has such a way with words, you are finished with the book before you even realize you started it and never put it down. I have read previous series by this author, and I love how the previous series are touched on in this one. It’s like visiting old friends.

In book 2 of A Cat and Gilly Life Coach mysteries, Cat Cooper's plans of becoming the life coach of New York, are quickly disappearing when the only client she has is guy who has been housebound for most of his life. The reason? He claims he is suffering from a curse that was put on him before he was even born. Every where he goes, disaster strikes.

Also at the same time, Maks reappears in Cat's life much to the annoyance of Detective Shepherd. In between helping her client get out into the world and juggling Maks and Detective Shepherd, Cat decides to look into the death of Shepherd's wife resulting in another murder and could lead to another. With a serious storm making it's way to the coast, time is running out for Cat to solve the murders before she becomes a victim herself.

As usual the writing and story was awesome. The ending was dramatic and tense as Cat faces off with the killer during a catastrophic storm. I highly recommend this new series by Victoria Laurie and recommend it to all mystery lovers.

I just love Victoria Laurie books - especially her Psychic Eye series (if you haven't read those, you should!)

I loved, loved, loved the 1st book in this new series around Abby's sister, Cat and I was worried that the second installment wouldn't capture the same magic that the first one did. I needn't have worried. Cat can absolutely carry her own book! Worth picking up!

And did you know that you can book a psychic reading with Victoria Laurie?! Check out her website!

The 2nd installment in the Life Coach Mystery series. Cat Cooper and her friend Gilley are life coaches without a lot of clients. One of their new clients thinks he is cursed and something always happens when he goes someplace new. Cat still has two men in her life and Maks and Detective Steve Shepard both have possibilities but both also have some questionable behavior. There is a serial killer Angel of Death and Cat and Gilley begin to investigate the death of Detective Shepard’s ex. Could Maks really be involved. Is Steve all that he appears to be? Lots of gray and blurry lines in this series. Good solid mystery and it is paced well with lots of plot twists that will keep you engaged. I think it is helpful to read the series in order but not necessary. Good series.

A great book! I really love this series and was excited to read this book. It did not disappoint. The characters were well formed and the plot was intricate. The whole thing kept me guessing until the very end. The books keep getting better and better. This book just made me happy to read, like I was reconnecting with old friends. I cannot recommend this book enough! So good and so much fun!

A silly little cozy mystery, book 2, in a spin off from the Psychic Eye Mysteries. It's a perfectly fine cozy mystery with a couple of silly non professionals who think they can beat the professionals at crime solving. Don't get me wrong that's not a terrible thing in a cozy mystery. It just hit me particularly hard at the end of this one that these are definitely amateurs.
I had some issues with continuity in this one from the previous book. It felt like a continuation of the previous story without a clear separate plot and yet it didn't always match up to the previous book. (No spoilers!)
This character is the sister from the PE mysteries but she is soooo not the calm capable sister we knew.
Basically read it if you've got it and/or want a fluffy read that won't stress you or tax you too much.

This is the second book in the life coach series. Catherine Cooper and her friend Gilley are settling in to their new business. Their new client believes he is cursed and that bad things happen whenever he enters a new place for the first time. Cat does her very best to help him, even after a fire starts in her office building and a hot air balloon crashes next to her on the beach. Cat is also still going between the two men in her life, the cop, Detective Steve Shepard, and possible mob boss Maks. A murder occurs and Maks is soon arrested so Cat lies and says she was with him during the time of the murder. I thought the mystery was so well done. Towards the end I had a hard time deciding if some of the characters were good guys or bad guys. I loved how everything was wrapped up in the end. Love the characters in this series and loved that we got to see Heath from the authors ghosthunter series. I do think the first book needs to be read first to understand part of the storyline, but I think the author does a good job of giving enough information that you could read this without having read the previous book. Definitely a series I will be continuing.

Book 2 in the spin off series with Cat and her sidekick Gil. Trying to decide between two men, one a mafia killer the other a cop. What's a girl to do? I've read the first one, and do recommend you do as well, as it helps to explain the history of the main killer. Still though, highly enjoyed this one and had trouble putting it down. Highly recommend this book, series and author.

Very enjoyable!! Although I haven't read the first book of this series, I was still totally engaged by this second book. There were several surprising twists that kept me intrigued and guessing throughout my reading journey. The job of a life coach sparked my curiosity and the well paced plot kept me reading. Very entertaining! I will definitely check out future books in this captivating series!

Fabulous second entry in the series
Cat Cooper is taking on two men and a murder along building her business as a loaf coach. While she can’t seem to pick between Make and Shepherd, she soon finds she doesn’t have to. But while entertaining both men, she seems to find both are also connected to the murder of Shepherd’s ex wife. Now she’s in deep and has to deal with the mob and a dirty cop, she doesn’t know quite who to trust, but knows she can’t go wrong trusting her instincts.

As she and Gilley sleuth their way to find out who truly killed Shepherd’s ex wife and why. Will Cat or Gilley be able to sift through he clues and solve the case or will they just be the next victims in the killer’s long list?

This is the second entry in this series and I have enjoyed both of them! With a friend like Gilley, Cat is never going to be without her wingman, whether is running her business or solving a murder. Adore this series and cannot wait for book three to drop!

I have been a fan of all of the series of this author. I do like how she kinda weaves mentions of the other characters within this book. It ties them all together and makes them feel as it part of a bigger thing. I felt that this story was a bit dark at times. It does keep you guessing; I didn't always know which side of good someone was on. The concept of life coach is odd to me so that part I have a hard time with but it really doesn't make the story any less entertaining.

I was unaware that this is actually the second book in this series by Victoria Laurie. I haven't read the first book but it didn't stop me from enjoying the book and it certainly didn't stop me from understanding the story and characters. It it a well written and well paced story that I couldn't put down. The plot twists are great and I didn't see them coming. I enjoyed the book and will go back to read the first book. Highly recommended!!

This is the second book in this intriguing series by Victoria Laurie.
Cat is settling in as a life coach, and her assistant, Gillie is right by her side.
To Coach a Killer is a wild combination of the author’s other series, which makes for a great story.
Something is fishy about the upstairs tenant in Cat’s building, but she can’t resist his rogue demeanor.
Also in the picture is Detective Steve Shepherd, and he also has his eye on her tenant as well.
When things begin to unravel, Cat & Gillie find themselves in the middle of a diabolical plan that directly impacts the detective’s life.
I read this book in less than 3 hours. I had to find out what happened in the end, and I was really glad I finished it.
This is a must read!

Thanks to #Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in The Life Coach Mysteries series. I have not read the first book but it did not affect my enjoyment of this book. This book is faced paced and the plot twists are well written and I certainly didn’t see them coming. I quickly became interested in Catherine and Gilley and their fight against the Angel of Death. I shall be reading the first in the series and hope that there are more books to come.

I enjoyed this book. Cat and Gilley are just hitting their stride in the life coaching business when they decided to investigate the murder of Det. Shepard's ex-wife. They become embroiled with the mafia and run into all kinds of trouble. I thought the mystery was interesting but really enjoyed the interaction with Willim. The reveal was fast and interesting and a close call for Cat. Thankfully only the bad guy gets killed during the reveal. #ToCoachaKiller #NetGalley
