Wednesday, Walks & Wags is the second book in The Sunday Potluck Club series. The series revolves around a group of women who formed a friendship while they where taking care of their parents who were in the hospital fighting cancer. They get together every Sunday for a potluck and catch up on each others lives.

Wednesday, Walks & Wags centers around Bridget who's mother died in the previous book and she is dealing with her grief. By dealing we mean avoiding by throwing herself into any new projects that come her way so she doesn't have to focus on her feelings.

One of those new projects ends up being taking up running with her new and pretty cute neighbor Wesley. He's a bit prickly around the edges but the friendship that develops between Bridget and Wesley lets Bridget feel safe enough to exam her feelings towards everything that happened with her mom.

Having not read the first book in this series I was surprised to find I wasn't as lost as I thought I would be going into this book. Melissa Storm does a good job of giving you just enough relevant information to fill in the blanks on who is who and the backstory behind them.

I went into this book expecting romance with a side of chicklit but was surprised to find that it was actually reverse. Which is my mistake not the books fault. I honestly didn't really like any of the friends that Bridget had. Maybe I would have if I read the first book but I honestly found the other women in The Sunday Potluck Club to be incredibly pushy and not respectful of boundaries in the slightest. You cannot convince me that someone in the actual mental health field would force her friend to talk to her without giving her an actual choice in the matter. That is an incredibly irresponsible practice.

I also wanted more insight into Wesley. For someone that Bridget spent so much time with in the book we don't actually get learn that much about either of them as people outside of grieving death of parent, jail time, dogs and running. The book was just surface material no substance which felt very flat considering the subject matter that it was supposed to be about.

I don't think I will be continuing this series it just is not for me.

The Sunday Potluck Club is composed of four friends who met while their parents were fighting cancer. This is the second book and Bridget’s story. I don’t think I could get past Bridget’s love interest being in prison. It just felt glossed over. I didn’t like this any better than the first, so I’d skip the entire series if I were you.

This is a cute story about a group of friends and their dogs. This is the second book in the Sunday Potlucks Club. The club is a group of friends who get together to talk about their lives and problems, and they would literally do anything for one another. Bridget, one of the members, is still getting over the death of her mother when she moves into a new apartment. One of the her neighbors, Wesley, runs with his dogs. The club encourages her to get out and meet him, and she finally does at a weekly dog walking group.

This is a romance/chick lit, and it is the 2nd book in the Sunday Potluck Club series. I have read and review the first book in this series already. The main character of this book is Bridget, and she is still trying to work through the death of her Mother. All the girls of the Sunday Potluck Club shows up in this book, but they only show up a few times. I have to say I really loved this book. There is dogs and sadness and love and twist...What else do you need in a book? I cannot wait of the three book in this series. It was clever that the author used animals as a way to move the story along. The people in the story were agreeable, charming, & likeable. It was a easy read.

I really loved the warmth of this book! The main characters, the sub characters, just the community of people we got to know. I think the author has created terrific characters, and a lovely feel good story!

This was a cute novel that followed Bridget and her three dogs moving to a new apartment complex, coping with the recent death of her mother due to cancer, and diving into returning to finish her bachelors degree. It was a quick read and the story kept me entertained. Overall, this novel had some of the best aspects in it, a dash of romance, cooking, and loads of dogs!

This novel is the second in the Sunday Potluck Club series; however I haven’t read the first novel and was able to follow everything with no troubles! These friends are wonderfully supportive of each other and seem like a great group!

I absolutely loved the first book of The Sunday Potluck Club series by Melissa Storm and knew that I would not be disappointed by book two. I think what I love most is the friendships that are continuing through the first book. In book one we meet the four friends: Bridget, Amy, Hazel, and Nichole. They met while they were taking their parents to chemotherapy, but in this second book we are following Bridgets story and seeing how she is coping with the passing of her mother. Along the way she will move into a new apartment, meet her new neighbor Wesley, spend time with her friends, and find a new way of living aside from losing her mom.

I really wanted to like this book, but tragically it fell flat for me. I'm super sad about it and that sucks. But I thank you, Netgally, for being so wonderful and precious to me. YOU da real MVP.

This was a cute story but lacked substance. I know that a lot of "chick lit" does but it just felt fluffy to me.

Bridget has moved and is trying to cope with the death of her mother. She meets her neighbor, Wesley, as part of the local dog walking community and of course, it's a romance! However, Bridget is still learning to deal with her grief and that life is not always the way it was planned out to be.

Like I said, this was a fluffy romance. I loved dogs, which is why I wanted to read it. Even the dogs could not save it though. While it was a nice way to while away an afternoon, I do not think it would be something I would read again.

This is a good romance and a good dog book for dog lovers. Bridget Moore has just moved into a new place. After her mother died from cancer, she has mourned her for months and now hopes to put it all behind her and move on with life. She has three dogs, the friends she met at the hospital where her mother died, who come together every Sunday for a potluck supper, and her now distant father and two brothers. However, she has a fairly close relationship with the vet for whom she works and with the people at the dog rescue place where she volunteers. Shortly after moving in, she begins running each evening with her neighbor, Wesley, who also has two dogs, with whom he runs. Up front, Wesley makes is clear he does not want a friendship with Bridget, never mind anything more. As time goes on, however, the pair become close friends, bonding over their dogs and the nightly runs together. Still, there is something mysterious about Wesley, who has deep secrets of his own. Bridget is confused about it all, but enjoys the runs so continues them. One day, everything comes out into the open, and Bridget and Wesley must reconcile their pasts and figure out where to go from there.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. It was short but sweet. I could see how Bridget and Wesley clicked from the get-go, and waited to see if things would go farther, as I knew they would. The secrets were a bit different form most of the secrets that keep people apart that I have read about in other books, but, nevertheless, they made for an interesting twist. I also enjoyed the big role the dogs played in the story. I am sure a reader who loves dogs will find this interesting. In addition, this is a short but meaningful romance that satisfies well. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

A light and cosy read. This is the second book in the series The Sunday Potluck Club. I didn't realise this when I requested it, but it's OK if you haven't read the first book, because throughout this story we get to know a little about each member of the group and how they met.

Bridget, the main character of Wednesday Walks & Wags, is trying to continue with her daily life after her mother's recent death. She thinks that the best way to do this is by doing lots of things, therefore she can totaly focus on these activities and avoid thinking of her mom and how she misses her.

She and her three dogs have moved to a dog-friendly apartment building where there's a dog-walking group formed by the residents, according to the real state agent. Although, it was already dissolved when Bridget arrived.

One day, Bridget saw a neighbour and his two dogs going for a run, and later she met him at the vet clinic where she works. He invites her to join them anytime, although Bridget realises it wasn't meant at all. He was just trying to be polite. Nevertheless, Bridget insists on joining Wesley, the mysterious and unfriendly neighbour, for a run. She thinks this is the perfect activity to help her avoid thinking of her mom. She's literally running away from her feelings.

Day by day, she is more astonished and intrigued by Wesley. Meanwhile, she continues meeting with her friends from the Sunday Potluck Club, working at the vet clinic and volunteering at the animal shelter. Bridget is totally busy, but it doesn't help at all. Moreover, her peculiar relationship with Wesley takes an unexpected turn.

Awwww! Just aww! Like a good friend that puts a blanket over your shoulders and says it’s okay. Loved, loved, loved it. Thank you publisher and netgalley for this arc in exchange of an honest review.

Perfect feel good real when you need a palate cleanser! Just the right amount of cheesy to distract from the chaos going on in the world right now.

I read the first book in this series earlier this year and enjoyed it – it was sweet and touching. And I enjoyed this one too, it was fine but maybe a little dull. Wesley’s inability to communicate was very frustrating and Bridget’s inability to stand up for herself was confusing. She seemed like a strong overall character but she was pretty young and had some things she needed to work through. This was a quick read and an ok story but it didn’t blow me away or anything. It was sweet and romantic though, and I loved how the four friends really come together to support each other. I would recommend it.

“Wednesday Walks and Wags” is the second in a series “Sunday Night Potluck Club”, but it can be read as a stand alone. This book is an amazing and heartwarming journey that focuses on different topics; friendship, forgiveness, moving on, family, grief and pets.

This series is about a group of women who became friends after meeting in the cancer ward, all of them had a parent with this illnes and togheter decided to formed a dinner club. And THAT is my favorite thing about these stories; the support system they created, how they care about the other and have each others's back.
