Rachel Good is known for her meticulous research and this her latest offering is no exception. This book deals with an Amish farmer learning about and selling camels milk for it's helpful properties. Along the way he meets a young woman with a keen interest in the milk and a rather profound knowledge of how it can be beneficial to many types of conditions and ailments. The two are faced with deceitful customers as well as questions about their character. A wonderful, enjoyable, and insightful read!

“His Pretend Amish Bride”, by Rachel J. Good (Kensington Books/Zebra), is a sweet romance with a shy, tortured hero, afflicted by an unusual condition.
Gabe is an attractive character: a dynamic, hard working farmer, yet afflicted by some issues and fears, not very often fictionalized. I found this very original and refreshing.
Priscilla is such a giving person, and her personality seems the right fit to encourage Gabe. I enjoyed their relationship and how they supported each other.
This was a nice read about a different world (the Amish community); as the story progresses, it becomes too predictable, and some aspects (the changes in the journalist) seem abrupt and far-fetched.

A fairly good Amish romance story. Pricilla has a visit from the bishop, accusing her of wrong doing with her boyfriend. Sadly, he was with someone else, but the betrayal and finger pointing against her doesn't help. When she meets her new neighbor Gabe, who sells camel milk (didn't know this was a thing), and she gets some to try to help her autistic brother. He has issues of a husband and wife trying to buy him out and push litigation at him, and she has trouble with her ex-boyfriend. Good story, but wish more on his history of Anna would have been brought up and explained sooner. Otherwise, a hard one to put down, and look forward to the next story of Anna and Levi. Would highly recommend.

By: Rachel J. Good
His Pretend Amish Bride is book two in Unexpected Amish Blessings series. This is a story of hurt, love, and courage. Priscilla and Gabe’s story. Pricilla and Gabe both have been hurt and betrayed. A farmer who raises camels and sells the milk. A woman who is a teacher for special children in her school. These two are keeping secrets and where will it lead them.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by NetGalley and the author, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are men own.

A betrayal causes turmoil and sadness between families. Keeping secrets leads to more misunderstandings. When the truth is revealed, lives will be changed forever. I enjoy reading stories about the Amish people. This is a good one. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.

His Pretend Amish Bride is a delightful and extremely well written novel that any reader of the Amish genre will enjoy. I always look forward to new books from Rachel J. Good, who is a talented writer.
The Amish are known for their embracing of children and adults with special needs, very similar to the Jewish faith and their similar embrace and organizations that help the special needs population. In His Pretend Amish Bride, the main character, Priscilla, is a teachers aide in a school for Amish children with special needs. She is quite passionate about the children she teaches and about finding new approaches to help them. This includes her brother who has autism. Thus, she is beyond excited when a camel farm opens nearby, selling camels milk, which she has read is beneficial to children and adults with autism. As she befriends the owner of the camel farm, and purchases milk from him, they develop a slow friendship, with him charmed by her enthusiasm for his work. I enjoyed reading about Priscilla and Gabriel learning about each other, while both are held back by past hurts. This is a book I highly recommend!

An absolutely lovely and charming story of Priscilla and Gabe. Very clean, this story is of Priscilla, a young Amish woman that teaches special children in her school. She has read of studies about the effect of camel's milk with autistic children like her brother, Asher. She discovers a new farmer that sells camel's milk nearby, but when she meets the owner, she isn't prepared for his youth and good looks. They begin a friendship, but he keeps himself withdrawn. His past keeps him from allowing himself to draw closer to her, even though he has definite feelings for her. Excellent story I would recommend to anyone who likes a good love story!

So this was my first Amish romance *sigh* so I am grateful I got to read this book. After I was done with Priscilla and Gabriel I was feeling a little rejuvenated and my faith is about to be hot as my coffee. Also this book also makes me want to taste 🐪 🥛 *I kid* but now I have a soft spot for camels. This book will date you to be brave and also show you that some people can’t stop gossiping *cringe*.
