From the introduction:

"What should also be taken into consideration when these pages are studied is that this is, first and foremost, a devotional publication intended to aid prayers and personal Bible reading. It is certainly not any kind of adequate historical account, but merely a brief glimpse into the lives and circumstances of a group of people who followed Christ to the best of their knowledge and ability. Th e reader who picks up this book in the hope of discovering a documented, detailed version of their story will, I’m afraid, be disappointed. Th rough the Year with the Pilgrim Fathers is written to inspire and encourage. It does not pretend to include every detail of swashbuckling adventures – far from it – but seeks to provide a flavour of what became of this remarkable company of (very!) amateur sailors."

One page for each day of the year, first a scripture, usually from the KJV. Then a text about the Pilgrims. Finally, a prayer (or partial prayer)--I think the author has written these himself.

Not exactly what I was expecting, but if you're in the market for a daily devotional text book, then this is an interesting twist.

A delightful book for those interested in the Pilgrims. There were mothers as well as Fathers!
Each day begins with a few appropriate verses from Scripture and then continues the story of their journey to America and their early adventures. It then concludes with a beautiful prayer.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read the book. This is my voluntary and impartial review.
