My public library purchases many romance novels on my recommendation, this was one of them. I enjoy being able to add to our collection.

After the death of her husband, Meredith Price and her six year old daughter move back to Meredith's small beachy hometown, Blackberry Bay.

Cam moves in next door - he's just there temporarily to sort out the affairs of his late grandmother Carolina, who left her cottage to him in her will.

This is pretty standard easy rom-com stuff, no alarming surprises, it's exactly the type of book you'd think it was. And that's nice sometimes, when you just want something you know isn't going to break your heart.

The one thing I didn't like about this one was that it was billed as a kind of "enemies to lovers" romance and that really wasn't the case, it was more of a "minor irritant to lovers" kinda thing. Can we stop romanticizing pissing women off, please? If I have to read one more book where some brooding man remarks on how "hot she is when she's angry with me" I'll flip a table.

Apart from that, it was fine but that really pissed ME off, never mind the characters. I enjoyed the parts between Cam and his mother a lot, I liked that whole angle of the story much more than the romance.

I look at the cover and I just picture myself in the place of the models, reading this book. I knew before I opened the book how the story would go, but that didn’t prevent me from enjoying it. It’s not a complicated story, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It was a good book for its genre and I had a good time reading it. Cameron was the usual “too blind for his own good” hero but in the end, he made up for it. More than neighbors is a sweet and easy book to read with a little bit of angst, an ideal book to read and relax.

Shannon Stacey's books are such a delight! This was such a sweet and well written neighbors to lovers story. If you're looking for a quick romance with a lot of heart, More Than Neighbors would be a great option. I've enjoyed her backlist and I enjoyed this book, I can't wait to see what her next release will be!

I liked this story. Well written, good storyline. The reasons for 3 stars is I didn't connect with the characters and it was easy for me to put down and not pick up for a day.

I hope you will get a copy and read it. Just because I didn't love it doesn't mean you won't.

3.5/5 - This is a sweet romance where two single neighbors fall in love, a quick read. It's a little predictable, but I didn't mind that one bit. The way Meredith's 6-year-old daughter, Sophie, fell for Cam was sweet and believable, and I love that it created the proximity for he and Meredith to fall in love. I love the way this story worked out for Cam and Meredith, and I especially love that a large portion of the story revolves around the local library and its summer reading program. The more I read by Shannon Stacey, the more I want to go back and read her backlist. I'm excited to continue with the next installment of the Blackberry Bay series, featuring one of Meredith's friends from her high school days.

Thank you to Harlequin for the free review copy via NetGalley! These views are my own.

Moving to a new place with her daughter, she wants a new start. It's not easy starting it all again.

And then there is her very hot neighbor. He is there to clean out his grandma's house and keeps on talking to her, even though she could not be more distant. But when even her daughter warms up to him, she has no choice but to open her heart. She is reluctant at first, but the more time they spend together, the feelings start to form.

I loved the storyline, it's just the sweetest story of second chances, living again, and letting go. The writing style wasn't my favorite though, I had a hard time connecting to it.

More than Neighbors is a brilliant way too start off a new series by the amazingly talented Shannon Stacey. Come met Cam, Meredith, Sophie and the town of Blackberry Bay.

Cam Maguire is an elite business man, who was living the life, that was until his life was turned up side down. I adore this hero, Calvin the 3rd aka Cam has so much going for him, but you can feel the longing for something he didn’t even know he wanted. The question is will he get it?

Meredith a widow and a wonderful mom to Sophie is such a delightful heroine. Her spunk is fun to watch. Moving back to Blackberry Bay, was just what Meredith and Sophie needed. What Meredith didn’t need was a sexy annoying neighbor that had her girl parts standing at attention.

Sparks fly within moments of Cam and Meredith’s first hello, but can chemistry be enough? Cam is looking to find answers to who he is and what was his family secrets. Meredith is starting over for her and Sophie she is not looking for anything from the sexy, annoyingly smug neighbor. Was she?

The supporting characters only add to the charm of More than Neighbors you get Sophie (Meredith’s daughter) who is adorable and fun! Oscar the dog, Elinor the cat, Meredith’s parents, Cam parents and so many more. I can’t wait to see what Shannon Stacey has in store for her new Blackberry Bay Series.

The plot of More than Neighbors is just what you'd expect from Shannon Stacey Strong amazing characters with emotional moments that will grab at your heart. Amazing scene settings, her descriptions have me feeling I am right there in the moment with her characters.

this was an enjoyable read, the characters were great and I had a good time reading this book. This isn't the typical read that I go for but it sounded interesting and I'm glad I did.

I’m a huge fan of Shannon Stacey and she has been an auto-buy author for me since I read Exclusively Yours. I was super excited to read Ms. Stacey’s first Special Edition, and really enjoyed More Than Neighbors.

Meredith Price has moved back to Blackberry Bay with her daughter Sophie to be closer to her parents following her husband’s death. Cam Maguire has come to Blackberry Bay for the summer to learn about the biological grandmother he never met following her death and Meredith and Sophie are his new neighbors. I cracked up that Meredith and Cam didn’t hit it off initially, even though they seemed to be attracted to one another from the first. I loved Meredith’s mom kept pushing them together and even Sophie seemed to want Cam to be with them as much as possible from the moment they met.

More Than Neighbors had a bit of a slow-burn that absolutely worked for me, especially as Meredith hadn’t really dated since her husband passed away, and Cam is only in town for the summer. Neither Cam nor Meredith rushed into a relationship or even a fling, yet they seemed to end up together quite a bit. I loved that while they got off to a bit of a rough start, Meredith and Cam really stepped up to help each other out when needed. Their chemistry grew the more they were around one another and I fell for them as a couple after their very first kiss.

More Than Neighbors is the perfect read for fans of heart-felt contemporary romances. Shannon Stacey writes the best small-town romances, and I can’t wait to visit Blackberry Bay again soon.

A perfect story to escape into. A smooth and sweet romance of two adults who have seen life, experienced pain and loss, and success and are open and willing to see the possibilities that the future might hold.
I enjoyed this story, it felt so natural, so calm and peaceful, and beautiful. There are sorrow and pain regarding the loss, an aspect that gives the tale great depth, yet mainly there are all the gleeful days of summer on a lakeside that shines like sunrays. I could hear the windchimes making a racket, the birds singing, see the kid with her dog in a hammock enjoying the summer days...
Cam Maguire and Meredith Price have a connection, the attraction might be instant but the relationship takes time to develop. I liked how they interacted with the people in town and with each other. There were respect and maturity, it felt real, with true emotions, and their drama but it was created by the situations in life and solved with real solutions without dwelling in angst.
More Than Neighbors is just what the world needs right now, it's uplifting, cheerful, joy-filled tale. And as a book one in a new series it delivers a great platform to build on, promising there's more to come and I can't wait!

What I loved best about this book was the slow burn romance. There were not instant sparks between Meredeth and Cam, more irritation than hate or love. Sometimes annoyance is harder to overcome than being enemies (there is a reason enemies to lovers is a thing!), so that makes this story even more refreshing. Once the spark is there though, the story really takes off. Another thing I loved about this book is the character development. Both Meredeth and Cam are going through huge life changes, and while those are central to the characters, it isn't necessarily central to their story. It is easy to see how in real life these two crazy kids will make it because their relationship is built on more than grief and sadness. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a great story with well-written characters.

Meredith, her six year old daughter Sophie and their tiny dog, Oscar have left California to start a new life in Blackberry Bay, New Hampshire. Meredith's life had been on hold for two years since her husband died and she decided to return to the town that she grew up in. When she first meets her next door neighbor she's surprised that it wasn't the elderly woman that the realtor told her lived there. Instead it was a good looking man her age that she immediately had problems with. Cam's grandmother left the house to him and he was spending the summer there to clean up the house and put it up for sale. His very controlling parents were unhappy that he wasn't in New York taking care of his important job at his father's company. He is impressed by Meredith and her daughter and even though Meredith isn't happy with him, Sophie really likes him and wants to spend time with him. Will Meredith and Cam have their happily ever after or continue to fight like her dog and his cat? Give this light summer read a chance to find out the answer to that question.

More than Neighbors was a great start to Stacey's new series set in Blackberry Bay! I enjoyed Cam and Meredith so much, and of course, Meredith's daughter Sophie, plus the dog Oscar and the cat Elinor.

What started out at neighbors who annoyed each other more than a little bit grew into friendship, lots of sexual tension, and a sort of relationship over the course of a summer. Cam was trying to come to terms with learning he had another family than the one he grew up with. All the while still trying to be a good son to the only father he had ever known.

Meredith had moved back to her hometown two years after becoming a widow, and she felt the stirrings of something when she met Cam.

I loved the tentative friendship Cam and Meredith had at first, and also the relationship they both had with Sophie. Of course, the animals also truly brought something to the story that touched me.

I can't wait to get to know more about the other people in Blackberry Bay in the near future.

I really enjoyed Cam and Meredith’s story! Great start to a new series. The neighbors to friends to lovers story line was great!

DNF at 26%. This is one of those times when I’m sure it’s me and not the book. I love the idea of a neighbors romance and enjoy the characters but my attention span just isn’t here right now. I’m going to switch to something else but may return to this at another time. Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin for the free review copy.

After the death of her husband, Meredith decides to move back to her hometown of Blackberry Bay. She moves into a home on the lake that is perfect for her and her daughter Sophie. She was told that there was an old lady who lived next door and she thought that would be perfect since her daughter has barely seen her grandparents. When she moves in though, she finds that the neighbor is not an old lady, but a very good looking man named Cam. Meredith isn't ready for a relationship, but will she be able to resist Cam's charms?

Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I really enjoyed this story. Meredith is a widow who is unsure if she is ready for a relationship again, but with the handsome Cam living next door, he may be hard to resist. But Cam's plan is just to be here for the summer, try to learn about the family he never knew, and go back to his life in New York City. Knowing these plans, Meredith vows not to let her heart take over her brain.

Cam never knew his family growing up, and he is using his time in Blackberry Bay to get to know them by going through his grandmother's items. Cam is not looking for love, he just wants to go through this stuff and move on with his life. But there is something about the single woman next door and her cute daughter that is really pulling at his heart strings.

This is a cute romance that a lot of people will enjoy.

This is a little different than other Stacey books that I’ve read, but I liked it. It’s a story about loss and healing. This is a slow burn story, with two nice characters who slowly Grow together.
