The concept is great and I suspect from the e-arc provided by NetGalley that the finished board book is adorably done. But, the problem for me was the content. I realize it's hard to capture a vibrant city like Austin, Boston, Chicago or San Francisco into a few pages, but if that's what D.K. Publishing says it will deliver, than this effort falls far short of the promise.

My own daughter was bored with these. Not liking the art, too simplistic and computer generated (blobby black stick figures for people), and the narration was too blah. The word choice was as boring as the food page. I wish it took time to describe a new England clam chowder and Boston cream pie and engage the senses by really painting a picture and taste profile. By the way, an equally bland food section can be found for Chicago and Austin, but why not a food section for San Francisco?! Sourdough, crab, etc.?

I was excited by this series, but the product doesn't match my love for these cities. No desire to purchase Little Cities. There are better kid versions out there with my charm.

Little kid friendly introduction to the city of Boston. Highlights famous places and why they are famous from Harvard to Paul Revere’s house. Works for a board book and the series of other American cities.

Thank you to NetGalley and DK Books for an advance reader’s copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is an adorable book to share with kids to show them the top spots to visit and see in Boston. Having been there a long time ago, it definitely jogged my memory too!

It includes a map of the US showing the location of the city, a cool map of the city showing where the main sites are in the city and pages of beautiful illustrations with information about the Boston Tea Party and the yummy food Boston is famous for as well as the other main sites with little tidbits of information for young children.

This book was kind of boring. I don't really like the illustration style of this series. Thank you to Netgalley for this digital review copy.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This series is pretty neat and great for kids about large cities in the US with lots of fun facts about each city.

This was a quick read about Boston that taught me a few things about the city. It had cute illustrations and things for children to point out. This is a fun series!

Little Cities is a cute, informative book for children about the city of Boston. It shows with simple drawings and easy words the sites that would be interesting and fun to see. .It hits all of the high notes and gives a good mix of historical and cultural sites. I suggest that a line be added bout how and why residents of the British colonies came to Boston. It could use a bit more clarity.

I would only buy this book for a child who was actually going to visit Boston, otherwise I do not think it would hold a small child's attention.

Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to review this book for an honest opinion.

I absolutely loved these "Little Cities" books, that are geared towards kids and teaching them about some of the landmarks in the city.  I read 3, all of which were cities I had visited and most of the locations listed I had checked out myself, so it was cool to revisit it again in a way, since travel is becoming but a memory.

This book features Boston - Fenwway, Make Way for Ducklings, Boston Commons, etc.  A fun way to introduce your child to new cities.

I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review, I was not otherwise compensated.

A super cute introduction to Boston for young children! It introduces the most popular sites of the city and its history in a simplistic way. I would recommend this book for early elementary aged children.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

This little book was so informative! I love the idea of this series and learning about cities throughout the United States! This series will spark the inspiration for traveling in little hearts and delivers snippets of history lessons in a compelling way since these are structures they could visit!

This colorful board book is part of a new series on some of America's favorite cities.  The book is colorfully illustrated and includes lots of things to see in Boston.  There are also pages on some of the Boston foods including New England Clam Chowder and Boston Cream Pie, and sections on the history of this iconic city.  This book is a sweet introduction to Boston for the littlest travelers.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.

‘Little Cities’ is a series of board books for the youngest readers about the major US cities. The books focus on the main tourist attractions and landmarks. Illustrations are informative and simple, reminds me of infographics in educational pamphlets.

The ‘Boston’ book is brief but full of knowledge that fitted into ten pages, it tells about great city’s monuments, famous places, historical events that happened in Boston and what food is the city famous for. It’s a good read to engage children's curiosity about the city.

I wanted to love this, but I think the execution did not meet my expectations. If you're already putting such long blurbs in a board book, at least mention that Harvard is actually NOT in Boston but the next city over. New England Clam Chowder should never be anything but pure white. I'm happy that Boston was included in this collection, but as someone from New England, I would never choose this over other Boston children's books.

This is a short board book designed to give toddlers a glimpse of the landmarks and history of the city of Boston. While it did meet its goal of being informative, it seemed choppy and without flow. Not the most engaging book for kids.
