I loved this book I adore the series.
This book is a brilliant one I think so far it's my favourite out of the series

The Lake House is the fifth book in the Love Heart Lane series by Christie Barlow and the fun thing about it is there are so many characters from previous books in it.
Ella is beside herself when after her parent's death but then she meets a man who she believes is the one.
A rich doctor, they had so many plans together that it all seemed too good to be true. Until that's exactly what happened, she was hoodwinked, left holding the bag, owing all the bills. Sometimes in life though we have to go through trials before we can really appreciate what is to come. Her friend rescues her from her devastation and whisks her off to a Scottish delight, The Lake House. A former popular night spot and classy restaurant Ella and friends have an exciting plan to bring the little House on The Lake back to its former glory days with the help of a famous singer that everyone loves and is clamoring to hear sing again.
Such a quick and easy read. A real pick me up and a chance at a real and lasting love this time. I loved the chemistry between Ella and water taxi driver Roma. Great plot and relatable characters and location. I can't wait to read more in this charming series.

Ella is starting anew and looking for love, will Roman be that man for her?
Although this is the fifth in a series I still enjoyed it and I intend on going back to read it again from the start.

This book is set in Heartcross, Scotland. The description of Heartcross makes you want to visit there. This is a fast paced romance book. I absolutely adored Ella, Callie, and Hamish's characters. This ebook is in stores for A$4.99 (AUD).

The prologue did not endear me to the main character at all, and she failed to recapture my attention again throughout... I also didn't see how all this misery could've happened to someone in real life - it just read too much a Too Stupid To Live characterization and that was entirely off-putting, sadly

I love this series and it is great to be back in Heartcross for Ella's story. Ella is a lovely main character who had been through a lot in her life and where better to start again and make a success than Heartcross. Lovely warmhearted book with great characters and storyline. Highly recommend the whole series

A fabulous book dealing with trauma , fraud alcoholism and many more very sensitive subjects beautifully and the characters in Christie Barlow’s books are just the best - making you laugh and cry all at once.

This book is so cute! After all that Ella has gone through with her parents and her love life, she pulled through it all. I love stories about fresh starts and this absolutely hit the spot! It was an easy read that I couldn’t put down.

Loved this book, really really good. Definitely will be telling my friend about it. I really liked the plot and the characters, and the writing.

Ella has really hit rock bottom and is sadly not in a good way due to the tragic death of her parents. What a ride for this poor girl!
Moving to a new town and new scenery is just what she needs.
Cue Roman, our delectable hero! Swoon-worthy man right here!
So even though Ella has been burned before, she gives romance another go!
Christie Barlow has written a wonderful, low-angst romance in a series I’m really enjoying! Very much a feel-good read. This may be the final one, but I’m going back to read them again! 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Lake House was a pretty cute book to dive into. In it, you will meet Ella. Her life isn't so great at the moment because she has definitely hit rock bottom. Which is completely understandable due to what happened. Not sure how I would be able to adapt after my parents tragically died because I would definitely be an emotional hot mess. Then on top of that, the man of her dreams turned out to be horrible.

After all of this has happened, she decides to move to Heartcross. I mean, she definitely needs a change of scenery and people at this point. So I was all for this big decision she was making and I couldn't wait to see what this town would offer her.

Honestly, this book was just really freaking cute. I was so happy with what happened after Ella moved. She met some really awesome people and a cute man to love. It was just really nice to see her pick herself up and go after what she wants.

In the end, she got betrayed but still learned to fall back in love... with the right man, town, and people. Definitely a cute book to dive into on a rainy day.

I was fortunate to receive an ARC from harper Collins.. having read all 4 books of the love heart Lane series, I was excited to read number 5...... loved going back to all of the familiar characters and the loveliness of Heart cross.
Once again beautifully written story and love really does conquer all..
