Let me start by saying this ends in a cliffhanger, so if you are like me, you may want to wait til the trilogy is complete to start reading. There are many things going on in this book. There is of course, the romantic element, but in addition to that there is some suspense/thriller/spy type of things happening. As far as the romance goes, it is a slow burn, barely there (considering she already has a boyfriend.) Their meet cute is something else though! :D There is mystery and secrets (mostly on his end.) The characters are sexy, strong, smart and often funny. Some of the characters you may recognize from other books in one of the few royal series' from this author. This isn't a dark read per se, but it's not exactly a light-hearted read either. There are some heavier moments, but then there is some humor to keep things leveled. There are things that are hinted at, but we end this book with lots more questions, in regards to some of the secrets and mysteries involved. It reads smoothly and easily. Alternates between POVs. Minimal sexual content, though there is lots of sexual tension.

*I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley.

BIG BEN is the first instalment in Nana Malones contemporary, adult SEE NO EVIL erotic, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on billionaire businessman Ben Covington, and operations director Olivia Ashong.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Ben and Olivia) BIG BEN follows several paths including the building relationship between billionaire businessman Ben Covington, and operations director Olivia Ashong.

Ben Covington is a member of the Elite, closely connected to the Uber rich and powerful of Eton Academy in London England, but the murder of his best friend Toby ten years earlier, finds Ben on the hunt for the men responsible but Ben never expected to find himself trapped in a closet with a woman trying to hide from someone she knows. Enter Olivia Ashong, the woman who would be pulled into a world of secret societies when Ben hid something of value with our leading heroine. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Olivia and Ben,and the fall-out as more than one person has targeted our couple in a game of cat and mouse.

Ben Covington, along with friends East Hale and Bridge Edgerton have been looking for proof to take down the men currently controlling the group known as the Elite but Ben goes to desperate measures to ensure the hierarchy no longer remains in the hands of the few but in doing so disrupts a nest of would-be vipers.

Olivia Ashongs current relationship is spiralling out of control but when Ben Covington offers her the position of operations director at his company, London Lords, Olivia had no idea the direction her life was about to lead. Several attempts on her life; a possible stalker with designs on our heroine; and a soon to be ex-boyfriend who continues to guilt Olivia into standing by his side, force Olivia to seek refuge with the man she is currently calling boss.

The relationship between Olivia and Ben begins as a business arrangement when Olivia refuses to give Ben back an item she currently has in her possession. Desperate to keep Olivia close, Ben offers Olivia the position of operations director, and in doing so, keeps the woman that calls to his heart, close and protected from those trying to do harm. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

We are introduced to Bens friends and fellow Elite Eton brothers: East Hale and Bridge Edgerton: Olivias boyfriend Dexter, and his smarmy boss Fenton Mills; Olivias friend Telly, as well as Elite members Bram Van Linsted and his father Marcus.

BIG BEN is a story of secrets and lies; the powerful elite, the well-to-do and politically connected; murder, chaos, and control. The premise is intriguing and entertaining; the romance is a slow seduction with plenty of sexual tension; the characters are colorful and dynamic. BIG BEN ends on a cliff anger-you have been warned.

Big Ben is the first book in the See No Evil trilogy.

This book was exactly what I needed. I was hooked and consumed from the first chapter.

Ben and Livy are fire and I liked the energy between them.
There is mystery, intrigue and a smoking HOT romance.
The author has a very great balance between all those elements while telling a captivating story.
But, there is still more to tell. This book does end in a cliffhanger that has me begging for the next.

I adored Olivia & Ben and I need more of their story! I have been a fan of Nana Malone for a while now and she never disappoints!

I don’t want to say anything and ruin Ben & Olivia’s journey, but want to say it’s a must read!

I really hope there isn’t a long wait for more of Ben & Olivia!

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Livy is been grieving for the las six months after her mother’s death, the car accident with her boyfriend and her anxiety issues. When she find herself inside a closet with a Viking like man during a social party little she knows that her life will take a turn for dangerous and exciting. A secret and powerful society, a handsome but mysterious man and livy’s life will never be the same.

Let me start by saying this book is a trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger. With that being said, I really liked the book. The subplot with the drive and the secret organization was interesting and I look forward to seeing how it all plays out in the next book. I liked Ben the most as he is a great combo of alpha male and protector. Olivia was not my favorite, and thus one reason for the star deduction. I thought she was a doormat with Dexter. I understand guilt being a motivator, but she let him treat her terribly for way too long. I think her self-respect showed up way later than it should have. The other reason for the one star deduction is the romance between Ben and Olivia was a slow burn. Nothing really happens until 60% in the book. I like things to pick up quicker than that. Those issues aside, I really liked the book and am ready for the next one. Two months is too long to wait!

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I didn't particularly care for this romance novel. Olivia finds herself in a closet with a hot Viking looking man she doesn't know forced to pretend to be making out so that they are not discovered wandering around.
Ben, the hero, is caught up in some espionage retrieval mission that goes horribly wrong when he involves the heroine. It had the potential to be a kick ass romance novel if Ben didn't have to ruin it by going all Alpha rich guy on Olivia. Just classic sex before romance crap that I hate in these modern novels. Not impressed

Ben is a member of a secret society, planning to avenge his best friend's death, Olivia finds herself accidentally and unknowingly caught up in that same world. Now she's fighting for her life and trying to figure out what's going on, he's trying to protect her without ruining all his careful plans. Big Ben is such a great read. Most of the book is set up, introducing and placing characters in what I have no doubt will be a fantastic ride. I love Olivia's strong personality but she's so vulnerable at the same time. And Ben, I just love him in general. I can not wait to see all of the twists and turns this series will take and that cliffhanger has me dying.

Big Ben is part one of a trilogy. I did not know that going in, so that is on me. The story started off very intriguing with the main characters, Ben and Livy, finding themselves in a closet together for two totally different reasons, and then they find themselves together a lot more when she goes to work with him in a bribery/ semi-blackmail twist.

There were some parts of the story at times that were confusing (things related to the Elite) and maybe could have been developed further or explained better. I really really disliked Dexter (which was purposeful and part of the story) but he was just downright horrible. Livy and Ben had awesome chemistry and I absolutely loved how he was so protective of Livy.

Overall I found the story to be really interesting and engaging and I am looking forward to part two!

An interesting and entertaining read, left on a cliffhanger which drives me insane because I’m impatient, but if it didn’t I’d know it wasn’t good and therefore my annoyance means it was a good story because I really need the next two books yesterday ! This isn’t my usual read, the elite type societies but I really enjoyed this one, I didn’t find it boring like a lot of those others. It’s fun, entertaining , sexy and addictive.

Honestly, it's my fault I'm pissed that I was left on a cliffhanger because if I would have just read the frieken title, I would have realized that this was a TRILOGY. Books with elite societies and wack-o socialites are usually a big turn off for me, fake everything makes me want to gag and vomit, but this one left me wanting to know what the heck happened to the characters. Ben is arrogant and sassy, just how I like the elites to be LOL, and Olivia is a smart and kind woman, a refresher in the world of snootiness. Packed with suspense, some pretty hot fist fights and a budding romance, which, HELLO, I'm absolutely rooting for because they both deserve love, I'm anxiously waiting for the second installment. -JH

Big Ben had me captivated from the moment I started the book. From the funny banter between the characters to the more serious notes as well.

This book features Ben and Olivia (Livy). They meet in a closet when they are both hiding out from people. Ben is trying to get something important and has to hide it in Olivia's purse. As he tries to get it back he realizes she works for him.

They work together and Ben offers Olivia a better job to get his item he gave her back. He realizes he has feelings for her, and Olivia likes him too even though she has a boyfriend.

Ben protects Olivia trough some stuff and they become friends. I was rooting for these two, because I didn't like Olivia's boyfriend.

I really liked this book, but it ended on a cliffhanger, and now I have to wait to see what happens next!

4 Stars for this mystery romance!

Livy’s mom died 6 months ago and since then her life has been unraveling. Her longtime boyfriend Dexter hardly looks at her and blames her for all his problems. Then one night at a fundraiser, she meets Ben ... in a closet. Ben has been a part of The Elite since he was a young man, but 10 years after the death of one of his best friends, Ben and his friends realize it’s time for the killers to pay. So they set a plan in motion not realizing that it will put Livy right in the middle of the chaos.

I didn’t realize this book would be continued ... and it left me hanging! The mystery along with the twists and turns had me trying to guess what would happen next. Ben is a hunk who always gets what he wants ... and it’s Livy he wants. I found Livy cute because when she got nervous she just chattered away at whatever came into her mind. So I’m guessing that seeing how this is a trilogy, that after the next book I’ll only have more questions and I won’t find the answers till the last book. A great start to the series.

Ohhhh babbby! This was an intense thrill ride!! Olivia and Ben don’t exactly start off on the right foot but once they connect it a a slow burn that sets the sheets on fire. Olivia has to deal with a less than stellar fiancé that seems to have no interest in her as well as the death of her mother six months previous. Ben accidentally gets her involved in his undercover gig and must find a way of keeping her safe as well as from knowing to much. Things don’t really come to a head until the very end and we are left hanging by a crazy intense cliffhanger!!! Ahhhhh!!!! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!! Nanna sure does know how to write a romance. The chemistry between the two main characters was just off the charts!! I’ll be waiting desperately for the next book. Please have mercy on us and end our torment.
