It is a great book for those who really want to learn Astrology. I don't recommend it for those with a casual interest.

The book is divided into three parts. The first gives an overview of astrology. Next Perry goes over the personality profiles for your solar house. The final section includes your lunar house in relation to your sun house. This just gives a basic personality profile.

It wasn’t the type of horoscope reading I am used to. But it was interesting and fitting at least for me.

A great introduction to natal astrology, and the interplay of the houses occupied by the sun and moon. Whilst the book is fairly brief, it's easy to read and understand and great for beginners in this area.

If you're new astrology, I highly recommend this book. For those who are familiar with astrology, you'll notice the author draws on very familiar resources but points out where these may underserve. This book takes you through both Sun and Moon in each of the houses and what this means.

Personally, I don't feel it captured me, but I appreciate the author being very transparent in her sources and where she's taken liberty and why. Overall a wonderful introduction to natal astrology.

'Behind the Horoscope' takes a look at the house positions of the Sun and Moon in a horoscope. I was hoping this book was going to be a more in depth examination of the relationship between the two luminaries, but alas, it was a only about the houses.

I did make some notes because even though there aren't any mind blowing revelations presented in this book, there are some good points that can often be over looked in astrological analyses.

I think it is a good refresher for more seasoned astrologers and an easy to understand guide for beginners.
