This book is over 250 pages of moon spell goodness. Ever wanted to have a book to get you started with moon magic? This is the one for you!

It goes over the basics, lunar correspondences, how to time your spells, lunar potions & powders, and then goes into specific spells:

- Spells by lunar phase
- Special moon magic
- Spells by goal
- Spells through the calendar year

There are a lot of spells packed into this little book, which is a great size for travel and on-the-go and has all the great basic spells you could need.

My only issue was that the Resources List was a bit slim.

Thanks to Netgalley, publisher and author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Little Book of Moon Spells is by far a great beginner book (or a refresher) for those looking to dip their toes into spellwork.
This little book easily educates you on the different phases of the moon and what spells correspond with each moment of the cycle. It is an easy read, not weighed down by terminology and brings all of the tiny tidbits that you'd hope to find within a "little" book.
I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to gain more insight into the magic of our lunar beauty.

How could you not like a book dedicated to modern witchcraft and moon magic and spells that discusses the secret, inner wisdom of these subjects and add in what they can teach us and how to use them in our practice. This book was perfect for me, as a very spiritual person and as someone who values the use and properties of the moon in everyday and magical life, and I really enjoyed what this book had to offer. I love how in depth and easy to use this book was, making it perfect for all levels! This book would make an excellent gift too!

Okay, can I seriously just own everything that Llewellyn ever releases? (No really.) I had high hopes when I dove into this book, as I love learning about moon magic, but never really knew where to begin. This book was both informative and friendly, as all of Llewellyns books are. But Melanie Marquis in particular, did a beautiful job of giving guidance and sharing her knowledge, leaving me feeling like I not only had a better understanding of moon magic, but also had a plan and knew where to start. A lovely book.

Llewellyn's "Little Book of Moon Spells" is an excellent introduction to moon magick. The spells are simple, and like the best magick, easily customizable to your specific intentions and situation. Marquis includes plenty of information about the moon's phases and how those correspond to particular types of spells. Highly recommended for new witches and those seeking to further their knowledge of the moon and moon magick.

What a perfect way to level up during the moon cycle. A small book with moon spells for the entire lunar cycle. Great for all levels of spellcasters.

This book was definitely appropriate for beginners in lunar spell work (as well as advanced practioners) and I really enjoyed it.

There is so much information about the phases of the moon, 65 different spells, and little tidbits about the moon. I've always been drawn to the moon so this was a fun read for me.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

A lot of modern magical books can get too new-age and touchy-feely for my liking, but this book is very practical and serious. I really appreciated the straightforward approach of the book and I've noticed that this is something common amongst all of the Llewellyn books I've read.

Another thing I like about the book is that it breaks down the basics before relating them to moon magic. It is a nice refresher that didn't slow things down.

The spells are clear, simple, and easy to follow and I enjoyed going through them.

As a growing pagan and someone who is practicing witchcraft, this book gives some basic (and not so basic) spells on moon craft. I see myself absolutely getting into some of these spells, especially since we just celebrated a full moon. I'll be coming back to Marquis for more research and information. Overall, an informative and helpful book.

Llewellyn’s Little Book of Moon Spells by Melanie Marquis

The moon influences the rhythm of the earth and influence the earth’s inhabitants. In this book the author mentions this idea, recommends keeping a journal to track personal mood, significant events, patterns, and the general flow of the day. I can see doing this for a year while also putting on the journal page the moon phase, any magic practiced and over time outcomes of that magic. I believe this would be an interesting diary to keep and may do so in the future.

Another section I enjoyed was the one on Lunar Correspondences – or what animals, trees, earth locations, colors and more are in tune with various times of the year and with the moon’s phases. The main feeling or impression I get from this book is that one’s personal interaction with moon and magic is something that grows and changes becoming personalized over time. What might be important, significant, or meaningful to me regarding a lunar phase or time of year may be completely different for someone else. It is a learning process and something that will grow over time and no doubt change as well.

The book has eight chapters:
1. Moon Magic Basics: including the basics of magic, circles, tools and more
2. Lunar Correspondences: suggests ideas to incorporate or use as symbols for the moon and its phases
3. Timing Magic with the Moon: information about waxing, waning, full and other terminology related to the moon and how to tie this into magic one might wish to perform
4. Potions and Powders: suggestions and some cautions
5. Moon Spells by Lunar Phase: Ties into #3 above
6. Special Moon Magic
7. Moon Spells by Goal
8. A Year of Moon Magic: this is the one I would like to tie to my journal

This is a basic informative lunar magic reference book that would benefit from being used in conjunction with a basic Pagan-Magic book. I have always felt that a book like this picked up and then used without true background knowledge could lead some into trouble but in general so would caution the reader not to jump in without thinking through and perhaps doing further study before attempting any magic.
