* Disclaimer : I am not pregnant nor have I ever experienced pregnancy.

Mindful Mama focuses on the mothers spiritual needs in much the same way that the popular pagan book Circle Round focuses on children’s spiritual needs. I decided to read this book because many of my coven members are reaching the point in life where they are starting families and as a priestess I want to understand what resources are available for them. That said I do think I will be purchasing a physical copy of the book later this year.
This writer was incredibly easy to read and kept their target audience firmly in mind throughout the text. The only cautionary I feel needs to be more strongly covered in the text is that essential oils can be dangerous under some circumstances and mothers to be should consult their doctors about the safety of any they want to include in their spiritual routine.

I will definitely be recommending this book to friends and a few family members.

Before you ask - No. But I thought it was really refreshing to find a book that’s about practice and techniques for the expectant mom rather than a book that’s all about what’s happening with baby. Yes baby is important but mommas, especially first time pregnant people, can find themselves in a whirlwind of emotion and changes and in the midst of all the things you’re feeling and the myriad lists of things you can and can’t do, you’re expected to make decisions! Life changing decisions! Anyway, if I even got the chance to do it again, I’m so glad I’ve found a book like this to support my turmoil. A wonderful, refreshing read that will definitely stay on the shelf
