This was an intriguing novel full of interesting twists and details...until the last 30 minutes worth of reading. I was really disappointed at how hastily everything came together. Although all loose ends were tied up, the conclusion was unsatisfying and felt rushed. I’d like to read more of this author’s work but hope for better endings.

The Witch Hunter by Finnish writer Max Seeck is an on the edge of your seat thriller. Jessica Niemi is in the police force leading the investigation into some bizarre murders. There is some venturing into Jessica's past that is somewhat helpful to her back story, but is quite jarring the first time it happens. I had to put this book down many times because I found myself holding my breath wondering what was going to happen next. The ending of the book does not give you any closure for many of the characters that you were invested in and really leaves you wondering if this was the start of a series or just a really poor ending.

I would give this book 2-3 stars. The plot is not coherent and jumps around. The ending tries to pull everything together, but it seems forced.
