This A- Z book is a must for anyone who wants to protect the world. I think children would like the bright illustrations and parents would like the explaining about being eco friendly and protecting the planet. Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.

It's never too early to expose children to positive ideas that might help shape our future. Baby Loves: Earth does just that. One in a series of pocket-sized books with a special theme, aimed at preschool aged children. 'Earth' is an alphabet book with words that connect people and the environment. Very nice illustrations should appeal to children and help as parents, caregivers and teachers share this sweet book with young ones.

I would call this book a conversation starter. Many of the words are advanced, and will advance, the thinking abilities of young minds. Teaching the alphabet and teaching about the earth, it's care, and our place in it-- should be a priority for us all. I picture this book allowing children to ask questions and those telling the story to create an imaginative world of understanding based on the simple, single word prompts this book provides. A great learning tool.

I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I spotted this on Netgalley and wanted to read it because I am interested in environmental issues, teach about them in school and intend to raise my child to be aware of issues such as climate change and the need to live sustainably. While the target audience for this is said to be toddlers, there are some very tricky words in here such as atmosphere, biodegradeable, etc. I think that the artwork and simple format will appeal to younger children reading with an adult, and it could be a great starting point for a conversation if you can explain the difficult terminology in a kid-friendly way. However, this would not be suitable for younger readers to access independently.
I would use this in my primary classroom for children aged 7+ as a friendly way to introduce topic-related vocabulary before beginning harder reading tasks. A beautiful and topical book with lots of possible uses, even for children who are older than the target audience.
Longer review, complete with pictures, to come on the blog.
(Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for my e-ARC)

This was a cute environmentally written alphabet book. I do feel like it has somewhat of a political bend to the left. I'm not upset about it, I thought it was good to have the spotlight shown on environmental topics, however I'm not sure if my young child will be able to pronounce atmosphere very easily (as opposed to apple). But the illustrations were nice and I think it would be a cute gift.

This book is designed to teach children how to love, enjoy and protect our planet.
When reading an ABC book the goal is to teach young children easy words and I thought the words used in this book were far too difficult for the age bracket this book is aimed at.
I understand the message behind it, trying to encourage children to care for our planet but I think this is too difficult for a 3 year old to comprehend.

Board Book
I received an electronic ARC from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books through NetGalley.
The concept is encouraging but the vocabulary is geared for the adults reading this ABC book to toddlers. Yes, it's good for them to hear the broader vocabulary but the words needed to define some of these terms puts readers back in the same position - geared a bit too high for the intended audience. The illustrations and theme are spot on for the current time.

From atmosphere, to biodegradable, to sustainable, this beautiful little ABC board book is a wonderful way to teach young children how to enjoy, protect and preserve our planet.

With charming and colourful illustrations, Baby Loves: Earth is a perfect introduction to this very important topic.

Other titles in the series that encourage wellness and awareness in young children include, Baby Loves Calm: An ABC of Mindfulness, Baby Loves Yoga: An ABC of First Poses and Baby Loves Vegan: An ABC of Plant Food.

Baby Loves: Earth is a beautiful little book for toddlers. It's an A-Z of words associated with conservation and the environment, such as P is for Protect. Each page has cute illustrations to accompany each word. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my digital copy.

It'brilliant, give this book to your kid when they start learning alphabets. I think I would do the same if I have a kid. How to introduce environmental topics from a young age this book might be a solution. Besides the topic, I like also the illustrations in this book, the color palette is cheerful, suitable for kids.

I was given an eARC of this board book in return for an honest review, thanks to the publisher and NetGalley.
Both me and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a great way to teach children their ABC’s and ways to love the earth. The illustrations accompanying the text were cute and also helpful. I even learnt some new words, like Kapok.
Of course, some of the letters deemed a problem, such as Q and X. However, I liked the way Eckford resolved the issue i.e. using the word eQuilibrium and coeXist.
I did find that some word meanings repeated themselves, such as R for recycle and U for use again. Maybe U could have been upcycle.
All in all, this is a wonderful book for reading to your baby and an encouraging way to look after the world and be more sustainable, even from a young age.
This book will be available to buy on Amazon from August 4th 2020 for £8.99

I am very excited about this book. I think it is very important to teach children to be good with nature and in my opinion you cannot start early enough. However I think the target audience is older children and not babies. the words are quite difficult and not understandable for the youngest children. I also loved the illustrations!

This was definitely a cute little book. I find this perfect to read to toddlers working on ABCs and new sounds as well as vocabulary. My 3 year old sat and listened to this with me. He tries to pronounce the words and pointed out letters and the different pictures that he knew. It would also be a really great book for elementary and even upper level school age kids. Teachers would love this to include in their science classes even though it is obviously geared towards toddlers and younger children. I would buy this for my own middle school classroom. Great illustrations too. Realistic, but also suitable for younger ages.

This is an excellent book to teach your little one how they can better care for the Earth. Illustrations were vibrant and matched the word associated with the letter very well. It would be a perfect book for celebrating Earth Day.

A cute ABC book about earth and being a good global citizen. This book introduces many interesting words and concepts, like natural resources, sustainable, etc. The words and pictures will spur questions and conversations. As some of the words and topics are a bit advanced, like equilibrium, I would recommend this book for 4-6 year olds.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

The illustrations are bright and attractive, perfect for keeping attention on the book. The words are a bit big for a baby but overall really cute and fun.

Introduction to important concepts in saving our planet. Child-like illustrations with muted earth tones create a soothing view for the eyes about important subject of ways we can save our earth. Concepts are a jumping off point for further discussion with older children.

What an adorable book! While some of the words are a little big for the age range it's geared towards, but it opens up a dialogue for parents to talk to their kids about what these words mean and how it is connected to the Earth and being eco-friendly. I absolutely love the illustrations, they were my favorite part of the book! What a fun book!
