A very well-written thriller that has got a lot of action in it. The action does not stop at any point in time once the plot starts to unfold. Unknowingly when the main character becomes a witness of a political murder, then how she tries to find her way out from the existing circumstances is how the story progresses. Very well written, clear and concise, skillfully executed, briskly paced and also it ends at the right moment in time. Not at all disappointing.

Easy to read, excellent pacing, lots of thrills and danger. I read it in a single setting as I couldn't put it down - some books would translate to an amazing big-screen project and can be read like a movie in your head - this was one of them! It was so much, but not enough, and I really, truly enjoyed it.

This was a new author to me and a good and solid read. Gripping until the end, entertaing all the way. Recommended.

While this was my first time reading a book by Susan Muller, it won't be my last. The characters were great and the story just flows and keeps you hooked from page one!

This book kind of scared the crap out of me, but it kept me reading it so I could find out what happened and sleep at night without thinking someone was coming in to kill me!

Barely getting away before the killer hunts her down and after escaping from FBI Agent Lincoln Montgomery she hides out as she travels the country. But killers don’t give up nor do FBI agents and once again she is on the run. When Lincoln is injured while chasing her, she takes the role of protector as she tries to convince him that she did not commit murder. As they try to stay ahead of the killer and not knowing who they can trust, Lincoln seeks assistance from a detective that he has worked with. This is a wild ride from beginning to end! I so enjoyed the character of Jax as she is an unconventional heroine, but living on the run has given her street knowledge that comes in handy. A 3.5/5 read. This book would be a great vacation read. Perfect for sitting on the beach and relaxing.

Jax finds herself in the middle of a mob hit on a senator and narrowly escapes, sending her on a four-year run. That’s when an FBI agent finally catches up with her, but little do they know.. Ponytail has found them both, sending them on the run again.

Without giving too much away, this book was not my usual genre and not at all what I thought it would be, but an enjoyable escape. Easy to read, and fast-paced.

A rather typical chase story set in America with the heroine, Jax Duncan trying to evade the mob and the FBI!

Jax comes across as quite resourceful but (oh no!) with a stereotypical alcoholic mother and groping stepfather. I cannot give five stars when this happens. Where are the more normal parents?

This was my first dance with Susan Muller and boy, was it a good one! Cha! Cha! Cha!

Jax accidentally stumbled upon a mob hit. She luckily escaped his grasp. Unluckily, her only option is to flee and cause the FBI to suspect that she was involved in the hit.

Awesome characters! Awesome plot! I would love to see this as the new action blockbuster with a female kicking butt!

Looking forward to reading more Susan Muller novels!! :)

This read like a blockbuster movie script!!! When a young woman of privilege is in the wrong place at the wrong time, she flees a high profile murder scene only a few steps ahead of the killer. Having never had to take care of herself, she finds it difficult to keep safe until a pair of investigators find her. Now she must work with them, using herself as bait, to bring the killer to justice. A fast moving, tension filled thriller that kept me reading much longer than the "couple of minutes" I intended when I started, but that's what happens when you find a good book.

In 2018, I read the three previous books in this series featuring Houston detectives Noah Daughtery and Connor Crawford. I liked all three, and I enjoyed Autumn Secrets as well.

A serial killer has been burying bodies in a field. When Noah and Conner arrive, they expect only the one body that had been discovered, but a misstep in the muddy field reveals another body and means the use of dogs to see if there are more. And there are. (This was interesting because the "borrowed" dogs were being trained to find survivors and become upset when they realize the scents they are locating are not survivors, but the dead).

A character from the first book, makes another appearance as a romantic interest for Noah.

This is the final book in the Seasons Pass series. I hope it isn't the final book for the characters.

This book definitely kept me guessing what was going to happen next. I enjoyed the story and the anticipation of how it was going to end. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a thriller!

What would you do if you stumbled upon a murder? Go to the police or run? When running is your choice, how to do stay safe? This one was good. I felt like watching an action movie with people who may have been cast because they were famous instead of because they were ideal for the role.

(4.5)Don't you just love it when you take a chance on a book and it pays out. I have "met" so many new authors through Netgalley that my TBR pile hates them. This first time read for me hit checked a lot of boxes. Thriller, suspense, mystery and connection. If your looking for in your face romance and hanky panky this is not the book for you. If your looking to be entertained, wowed, heart pumping and amused this is the book. I say amused because when Jax lets her mouth run she can put on the snark. Jax is strong, she has endured things you do not find about till later in the book, but they all help make her the woman she is today. On the run from the mob and the FBI, she is quite successful for many years. When Special Agent Lincoln finally catches up with her we are off.
Murder, mayhem, who is the leak, how is ponytail finding them? Through all this Jax and Lincoln build a connection. One that travel slowly trying to earn trust. 4.5 stars rounded up! A quick read with just enough twists and turns. Jax witnessed a murder and goes on the run. She knows she didn’t commit the crime, but evidence suggests she’s a murderer. Jax Duncan is unlucky when she stumbles upon a mob killing of the senator. She escapes, but is on the run from the murderer of the senator, a man she identifies as Ponytail. She flees from town to city with a "go bag" ready at all times because she knows she may need to run at any time. She is not only hiding from Ponytail; she's hiding from dirty cops and FBI agents that she is never sure if she can trust. Her plan is to hide out until the case can be solved and her name can be cleared. That is until special agent Lincoln Montgomery steps in. Lincoln has found Jax at the same time that Ponytail has. What ensues is a terrific, edge of your seat, fast paced novel with a great female character. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This is the first I have read of Susan Muller but it will not be the last! This was really good! I liked Lincoln and Jax alot! I also liked Noah and Laurel, may have to look up the series they are in. This is a good thriller and a good read. Really enjoyed it .

With a phenomenal female lead named Jax - I loved it before even opening it! Now, add in a splash of mob execution, a dash of romance, a hint of FBI complications and a whole lotta running.... and BAM! You have the ultimate suspenseful thriller! An edge-of-your-seat, fast-paced page-turner that I could not put down!
