Such a great book! I enjoyed reading this one so much! I highly recommend this book. Side note: the cover!!!!

I am sad to say I DNF'ed this. The premise was good, but I just couldn't do it. The writing was just bad... it was contradicting, repetitive and full of errors. But even if it had been through better editing, I still don't think the style would have been for me. The characters are emotional disasters, the descriptions were extremely basic (his shoes were red, the floor was white,...), the dialogues felt unrealistic and overdramatic, and overall it read like it was written by a 10 year old for a school project.
I really wanted to like this, but I'm sorry to say it wasn't for me.

Great adventure thru time and a few life lessons as well. Well worth the read, a fast paced story. Really easy to relate with the main characters.

I really liked this book. I was surprised by that, as I had no idea of what I was going into. I really liked the time traveling aspect, and that we followed three different story lines, but they were still connected. They all had something to do with each other, even though they did not know that in the beginning. And the writing style was great. I really enjoyed that as well. Overall it's a very good book.

I found it impossible to lose myself in this book. The opening was difficult to follow and I truly hated the main character.

4/5 stars

Steampunk + time travel = a win. The Quest of the Prodigy is a super fun read and would be best for middle grade readers.

I don't read a lot of middle grade these days but this is absolutely a book I wish was around when I was younger! I enjoyed it throughly even as a 24 year old . The writing was creative and the characters are fantastic. It didn't feel like it was spelling anything out for the readers and taking away from the plot but its cohesive and written for a younger audience.

A lovely experience and I'm very excited to read more!

As a kid, I used to love the Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne, so this was an enjoyable read! I will admit that the plot was a bit slow and confusing at first, but the pace picked up significantly as the story found it's footing moving forward. I always enjoy a female character who overcomes her weaknesses and finds her strengths.
