I really enjoyed this story,.
A family, grieving for the loss of a special person in all their lives, Aunt Clara.
Aunt Clara who had a way of touching everyone’s lives, even after she is gone it doesn’t change, each character remembers her and what she would’ve said to them when they feeling lost or wasn’t sure of what to do.

A lovely tale of a grieving family, dealing with the loss and learning how to move on, to grow with each other..

Once again wasn’t disappointed with Hale’s book,. An enjoyable summer read!

This was a cute little story. I loved the characters, but I kind of felt like there wasn’t much of a conflict, just a bunch of misunderstandings and miscommunication that could have been avoided had the characters just talked more.

An enjoyable summer read, a predictable ending and not a book that will stay with me but a lovely setting and interesting characters

Sydney has her heart broken when the life she saw spread out in front of her was turned upside down. The man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with, suddenly leaves town without looking back and with no explanation. Sydney marries and has a son but the marriage doesn’t last and she returns to Firefly beach to live with her family

Nate returns years later to attend her sisters wedding and Sydney tries to deny the feelings she still has for him. For me the story then goes round in circles . He wants to talk she gets angry and doesn’t want to listen. The mystery of why he left hangs around but when it is finally revealed it’s no big deal.

This is an enjoyable beach read - with some engaging twists and turns. The characters were relatable and authentic. The theme of family and land preservation was heartwarming. It was my first Jenny Hale book and I will definitely seek out her other books. Thanks to #netgalley for the advanced copy.

Reading #TheHouseonFireflyBeach was a welcome escape during the pandemic. Being swept away by picturesque beach community, was 'shore' way to beat the lockdown blues.

I would have rated it 4 stars but was still reeling from my last book's heart-wrenching subject matter, Finding it difficult to switch genres, I plan on re-reading when I'm in a different mindset. That being said, I enjoyed my stay at Starlight Cottage and watching Sydney and Nate dancing around the issue of asking if 'they can have this dance for the rest of their lives?'

Sometimes your mind just needs an escape from reality and all of the things going on around you (especially right now, in the midst of the current pandemic) and this cute, charming book was the exact perfect form of escapism! In hard times like this, a book such as this one is a gift, as its so easy to fall into and lose yourself and forget your surroundings for a while.

This was such a heartwarming, delightfully wonderful book that immediately embraced me and swept me away from the very first page.

This book was very relaxing and soothing, much as the coastal setting in which the story took place. I loved everything about Firefly Beach and Starlight Cottage (I mean, even the names are just so charming!), and wished I could transport myself into the pages so I could visit that town and see Starlight cottage, and relax on the beach and meet and mingle with the characters from the story.

This story was very well fleshed out and developed, the characters were all very charming and likable, and I loved watching the romance between the main character and her love interest play out. It was just such a wonderful, feel good kind of book, and I had a big smile on my face most of the way through it.

I am not a summer kind of girl, as I prefer autumn in all its dark and spooky glory. But books like this give me feel good summery vibes that make me nostalgic for summer and remind me of the all the ways in which summer is lovely: the smell of the ocean; the calming, soothing sound of the oceans waves; laying on the beach with a book while feeling the sun on your face; sunsets; the smell of BBQs; laying in fresh grass and looking up at a clear, star filled night sky.

This book embodies the importance of love, family, and preservation of memories. It’s a beautiful story of forgiveness and giving love a second chance. The bond between the characters is so warm and beautiful, and it really gives you all the feels while reading.

This a beautifully woven, lighthearted beach read that will put a smile on your face and lift up your heart. Perfect for times when you are in need of cheering up and a distraction from the darker side of life.

This was my first book by Jenny Hale but it certainly won’t be my last.

Swept away from the very first page! This was such an easy book to fall into, which is such a gift to any reader. The coastal setting and surroundings, the heartwarming secondary characters, the easy style of the author’s writing... it was all beautifully crafted. My only semi issue was that it occasionally felt overly wordy and slightly repetitive, but it wasn’t a big deal at all.

A perfect read for any time of the year, but would be especially awesome for a summer beach read.

This book epitomizes the importance of love, family and preservation of memories. What Sydney and Nate, Hank and Clara and Hallie and Ben have is real and pure. I appreciate that Sydney realized how she was living and dwelling on the past and decided to capitalize on her true talents to get the life she wants and deserves. An all around wonderful read which I finished in a day!

Loved this feel good romance.
Sydney and Nate grew up together, and eventually fell in love, They had planned out their whole lives from the wedding, the house and even the kids. What wasn't in the plans was Nate suddenly packing his truck and deciding he was leaving to pursue a career in writing in LA. Left broken hearted, Sydney picks up the pieces of her life and moves on, getting married and having a son, only to end up divorced four years later. She moves back to Firefly Beach to be with her dear Uncle Hank after her Aunt Clara passed away. Trying to find her way in life and figure out what to do next, she cannot believe when Nate suddenly appears in town for her sisters wedding. Will Sydney be able to give Nate a chance to explain what happened all those years ago and what he is doing back in Firefly Beach now, or has her heart taken all the damage it can handle from Nate?
This was such a light, easy read that left me smiling and feeling good about life.

Sydney has a son from her fist marriage and doesn't want Hate to come back in her life as she tells us will only let her and her son down. It is a story of love,second chances, letting go of the past. Another excellent book by this author.

Sydney Flynn is a young woman who has been lost since her high school sweetheart, Nate, leaves her for a better life. She has wandered through life, only to find solace upon returning to Firefly Beach. That peace vanishes when Nate returns to their hometown, as well, in an attempt to win Sydney back.

Although a bit predictable, this book was just what I needed right now. With a lot of heavy stuff going on in the world, a great beach is a treat! If you are looking for a fun, light read, this may be a good one for you to pick up. Thank you NetGalley for an arc of The House on Firefly Beach.

I was initially attracted to this book by the beautiful cover and I wasn't disappointed once I started reading. I hadn't realised that there was a Firefly Beach book previously but this didn't affect my enjoyment (but I will go back and read the other one now). I loved the story of lost love and the beautiful setting of Firefly Beach and Starlight Cottage. Learning to trust again after your first love broke your heart and now returns and wants you back, is the theme of this book and I enjoyed Sydney and Nate's story. I particularly loved Uncle Hank and Robby and I was swept away by the story and the elements of threat to the idyllic landscape. One to read as the sun goes down on a glorious day with a chilled glass of wine. Perfect.

What an enjoyable read! This is the first I’ve read by this author and I when I requested it, I didn’t realize it was the second in a series. With that being said, it can totally be read as a stand alone and I definitely recommend this be added to your summer TBR.

The second book in Jenny Hale's Firefly Beach series is a good one. Characters are realistic and likeable and The story kept me interested.

This was such a wonderful feel good kind of book. A perfect summer beach read with well-developed characters, and interesting plot, and a bit of drama sprinkles into the romance. I had a smile on my face most of the way through and it really made me want to hang out with this family and their friends. This is book two in the series, the first one being Summer at Firefly Beach, and it was just as good as the first one. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend it.

I really do not like single parent stories, but I picked this one up because I totally trust Jenny Hale! An excellent, romantic, and well-rounded read that is perfect for summer! 4.5 stars!
