This was a perfectly plotted and incredibly enjoyable entry in this long-running series. Deeply satisfying.

Not an unbiased review--I have loved nearly every book in this series!
Meg Langlow is a craft blacksmith with a very large, impressive, and quirky family and she is the protagonist. Michael Waterston is her drama professor/former star of a cult sci fi TV series husband. Together they are in charge of a renaissance faire type of weekend fun complete with a cast of hundreds and even more spectators. It's well set up to figure out who will be murdered and the side plots, distractions, and red herrings make for interesting sleuthing. No spoilers. Even if you've not experienced this family you'll still find plenty to laugh with. I LOVED this one!
I requested and received a free ebook copy from St. Martin's Press via Netgalley. Thank you!

This is another great series that keeps getting better with each book written. It is fun to watch the camaraderie between Meg’s family and those she encountered. The author knows how to tell a story that had me completely immersed in all aspects from beginning to end. The visually descriptive narrative with all the details played as a film in my head and put me in the middle of all the action as our heroine gathered clues and suspects and I had a good time watching it all play out. With great aplomb, the author had a few surprises, especially when I thought I had a handle on the killer’s identity. This is one of my favorite series and I love the aviary titles and how it connects in the story. With a quirky cast of characters, engaging dialogue and the backdrop of a Renaissance Faire, this was a very enjoyable mystery and I look forward to the next adventure with Meg and her friends.

Donna Andrews always manages to come up with another quirky local in which to insert Meg Langslow's family of characters. I can't wait to see where they end up next.

Another hit by Meg and her family. The boys are 12 now, and also Michael has a more active part. Love that! When Meg's grandma hosts the local Renaissance Fair, an interesting cast of characters are moving around. Obvious who will be the murder victim, and I did figure out who the killer was fairly early, it didn't matter. Love this series and always a fun escape to follow Meg around as she gathers clues. Highly recommend this book, series and author.

This is such a fun series! I’ve been following the adventures of Meg Langslow from the beginning and they never get old. I love how she has grown and how her family always seems to find a way to get into some hilarious trouble involving a murder or two no matter where they are. This was another fun mystery with Megs grandfather who was hilarious. I always look forward to the next in this wonderful series and it needs to be a tv series now! Thank you NetGalley for the advanced readers copy for review.

I have absolutely loved this series since I was introduced to it a number of years ago. What I love most about this series, and that includes this book, are the titles. They always Center around animals and you can bet they are front and center of the book. By now, the characters are pld friends that I cannot wait to visit. The setting is always wonderful - even this book's although I knew nothing about Renaissance Faire at the start. The plot kept me well entertained, on my toes and was a page turner. I thought I had the killer pegged as the book went on - was I wrong! This series is one of those that I wish could be made into a series of movies.

I enjoyed this book very much. I finished it in one sitting. It's fun and flows nicely, there's not a dull moment. I really liked the Meg had her boys Jamie and Josh helping with the blacksmithing, it's nice to see them growing up. The whole family is involved in the Ren Faire and finding who the killer is. I was surprised by the killer as is Meg due to his normally easy going personality. This series keeps getting better. I think the title is clever too, relating back to the falcons. #TheFalconAlwaysWingsTwice #NetGalley
