I'm a big fan of Catherine Bybee and her writing style. She doesn't rush a story. She allows you to get to know the characters. You think of these characters as people you know. Your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and enemies too. She takes you into their lives day to day. She doesn't touch the surface so that you get an idea. You truly know her characters and that allows the story to really get into your head and you really experience what you read.
Grace may be small but having grown up with two older brothers and a respectful man in blue father she is tough. As a civil engineer with the city she has had to work especially hard to prove herself. Although with her boss there is nothing she do to change his chauvinistic mind.
With her brothers committed Grace is feeling a little left out. Wanting a relationship she happens upon Dameon more than once and realize there is "something" there. Unfortunately, she walks into a meeting for a job that will really show what she is made of and who but none other that Dameon is the person she will be working with. Sparks continue to fly and what a conflict they have with her big project being his and her being the civil engineer in charge.
A developer that scared and bullied Grace accuses her of taking bribes. Grace is in trouble and in danger. Will Damon be able to help?
Recommend reading Everything Changes and watch Grace's life transform in many directions.
What I love about Ms Bybee and her writing is that she never fails in crafting the best book possible. Honestly, she delivers every time and her story telling just seems to get better and better.
This story took readers, most especially this reader, on a very engaging, heartwarming journey filled with plenty of emotion. It balanced the further healing of those in the Hudson family after all that they’ve been through, splendid characters that are absolutely deserving of happy ever after and a wonderful plot that made this book a quick read for me.
Grace and Dameon are strong characters that are perfect for each other and definitely need each other. Grace has been through so much because of the past. So much fear because of her sister’s ex, which means trust doesn’t come easily for her. But there’s something about Dameon that screams trust. That makes her comfortable. So taking a chance on him might be a risk but one that’s worth taking.
Overall, this book was a great end to the Creek Canyon series and I can’t to read what Ms. Bybee releases next.
Everything Changes is the third and final book in the Creek Canyon series by the talented Catherine Bybee. I loved this so much and I'm sad it's over, but I'm just glad I got to experience it. Catherine's books always make me happy. They have strong main characters, lovable secondary ones and they make you laugh and cry! This series had added suspense, but these characters are all so strong and fun. This is Grace's story (Colin and Matt's sister). She's a woman in a male dominated job and it's not easy. Her boss has it out for her but she loves her job so she puts up with it. When a sexy, mysterious man she ran into turns out to be a new client she knows she can't get involved with him. Dameon has never met anyone like Grace. She's smart, sassy, honest and beautiful. He's not going to let the fact that they are working together deter him from getting her to agree to go out with him. Grace isn't sure she can resist Dameon and his sexy voice or the way he looks at her. Eventually, it's just meant to be and she gives in. It's not really a conflict of interest, but she wants to be careful. When danger seems to be following her, she reaches out to Dameon for help. Together they are going to make sure Grace is safe. She's strong and independent, but sometimes everyone needs help! I loved seeing Colin, Parker, Matt and Erin again and Dameon's mom is freaking hilarious! Overall, I laughed, teared up, cheered, smiled and just loved it!
There is so much to love about this story. The story starts with a bit of a slow-burn, which I love due to its authentic feel. Insta-love can be nice, but it rarely feels like something that happens to regular people. As characters go, both Grace and Dameon are great characters. Grace is a strong woman who great at what she does but is also still dealing with the misogyny and limitations that still come with being a woman working in a predominantly male profession. I also really enjoyed how playboy Dameon's infatuation with Grace hits him over the head, causing him to start changing and chasing after the girl before the girl gives him a reason to believe he'll be successful. Finally, I love the mystery subplot. There wasn't anything surprising about it, but it blended well with the story and added to the action and overall character development.
As always with Bybee's books, I was able to get lost in the story for a few hours and forget about the rest of the crazy world for awhile.
Catherine Bybee has done it again. This is a wonderful story about good work ethic by both Dameon and Grace. They also have strong family ties. I wish this wasn’t the end of this series but I love seeing the many characters from the first two books in this one.
Grace has worked hard and loves being an engineer but can’t stand her boss. Dameon is trying to build a new development. They’ve met several times and the words Ms. Bybee brings their attraction to life. This is why I love her books so much. No couple has an easy time but their are bad guys as well so it keeps you wanting to keep reading right to the last page. Can’t wait to see what she’s going to write next!!!!

Everything Changes is the third and final book in the Creek Canyon series by Catherine Bybee and what a great wrap up to this series! This book is about Grace Hudson a civil engineer which we have read about in the prior books and Dameon Locke, the man who wants to build a new development and to develop a relationship with Grace..what happens next will keep you turning pages wanting to find out what is on the next page...sleep is so over rated!!
Thank you Ms. Bybee for such a well written, attention grabbing, page turning amazing series!!
If you follow my reviews, by now you know that I love Catherine Bybee's books and I will read anything she writes. For one, because I believe she is an amazing author and person but also because she is just that good of a story teller. Her books always captivate me from the start and I get fully invested in the characters' lives. And Everything Changes wasn't an exception. I loved every single moment of the story.
To be fair, Grace has been one of my favorite characters in this series from the very start. As a woman engineer working in a testosterone filled environment, I've had more than one incident where I've been told I am not good enough just because I have the wrong plumbing. So yeah, graces circumstances spoke to me. And to be fair I just love her ball busting attitude :D In a few words, she is a smart, hard working woman who can keep her own in a men dominated work environment. Unfortunately, after a dangerous situation that left her with nightmares, her belief in herself is slightly shaken up, her light is a little bit dimmer than normal.
Of course it will take an incredible man to bring the light back in her eyes, to show her how strong she is, to make her believe in herself again. And Damien Locke is exactly that man. Though, he is powerful, very alpha and ready to go after what he wants, e also has a slightly goofier side that shows only around Grace. I mean how many man will agree to a pedicure just so they can convince you to go out with them :D And their banter is just hilarious. I've had quite a few laughs :D
But of course everything cannot be hearts and flowers and on top of a bad situation at Grace's work, there is also danger lurking around the corner. I am not going to say much about this as I don't want to reveal any suspenseful detail but I am going to say this, be prepared because I needed a shot after those scenes ;)
I hope I haven't bored you with this long review and I really hope you will get your copy of Everything Changes. It is an amazing story and definitely a must read :)
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange of an honest review
Grace is a tough woman! She lives in a man's world and has a good head on her shoulders. But she's been burned in the past and is dealing with the trauma left behind. Her guard is up and she's fighting to regain her life. She doesn't have time or want anything to do with a man. But Dameon is a force to be reckoned with and he's definitely someone she's NOT prepared for! I enjoyed their chemistry and the tension between them. I liked how he pursued her and was there for her when she needed him the most! He respected her and I was completely lost in their journey! The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't read this book fast enough.
“Everything Changes” is the third book in the Creek Canyon series by Catherine Bybee. This trilogy revolves around three siblings: Colin, Matt, and Grace Hudson. The reader learns in the first book that the Hudson family is fiercely protective of their clan. When you mess with one of them, be prepared to take on the entire family. The parents, Emmitt (a retired cop) and Nora are a constant in their children’s lives, providing them with guidance, love, and support. Not just for their children, but their children’s significant others, as well.
The series begins with “My Way to You.” Colin deals with forces of nature: wildfires and floods. He meets a young, determined Parker, who’s fighting to save her home, which is the last possession, she and her siblings have after the sudden death of their parents. Parker’s strength, courage, and beauty captures Colin’s heart, and there is no turning back.
The second book of the series, “Home to Me” is about Matt and Erin. Matt is a fireman and a very protective person in both his personal and professional life. Erin is a sweet but timid haunted soul. As Erin fights her dark and menacing past, Matt is there to help with the fallout. This book has enough mystery, which kept this reader on the edge of her seat.
Now, the last book, “Everything Changes,” is all about Grace and her need to prove herself in her relationships, both professionally and personally. Throughout the entire series, we encounter Grace as the little sister and youngest child forever on the family’s radar, no matter how low she flies.
For those of you reading this review and have not read the first two books in the series, I feel the need to prep you before reviewing book three. In the second book, Grace encounters a psychopath on a brief date. The man she meets intentionally targets Grace, hoping she will lead him to Erin, his ex-wife. It turns out he wants to kill her.
Now, fast forward to book three. Our heroine, Grace, is a confident, beautiful, 5 feet – 3 inch, petite woman. Growing up with two older brothers, she’s learned how to take care of herself. However, after her episode with mister psycho, Grace no longer has faith in her instincts and decides to take a little hiatus from dating. Time to focus on her career.
As the only female civil engineer in her office, Grace takes on the daily stresses of working in a male-dominated profession. Determined not to give her misogynistic boss the satisfaction of breaking her spirit or destroying her career, she takes on twice the workload to prove she can handle anything thrown her way. But, bit by bit, the constant bombardment from her boss starts to take a toll. Grace swallows her grievances in silence, only to feel her armor of self-esteem chipping away day by day, little by little. Then, unexpectedly in walks, Dameon. The man is Sizzling Hot!
The first time Dameon and Grace met, sparks flew. Dameon was so smitten he took giant strides towards Grace. Meanwhile, she, on the other hand, started taking double steps in the opposite direction. After watching the tug of war between this couple, makes the joining much more rewarding. The relationship is complimentary. In Dameon, Grace finds a man who sees her as a strong, confident, and outspoken woman. He’s the only man she wants to talk to about her days, her problems, her ideas. He is one man who listens to her, gets her, and sees the real woman! She’s his little Spitfire.
In Grace, Dameon finally finds someone to trust and who’s not out to hurt him or use him. Through Grace, Dameon learns that not all families are dysfunctional. He finds a new way of looking at the family. Beyond his image, Grace sees the real man. A man who has worked hard to become a rising star in real estate development. One who is caring, loving, and honest.
Dameon has a lot riding on his development project, which happens to be one project assigned to Grace. Watching these two characters struggle with the lines drawn between professional and personal relationships is enjoyable. Dameon and Grace will keep the reader on the edge of their seats.
I enjoyed reading this book immensely and suggests reading it. The entire series consists of strong women like: (Parker, Erin, and Grace). Creek Canyon touches the heart, leaving the reader feeling more empowered having read the series. Another great book by Catherine Bybee.
*The author granted me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Everything Changes is a fantastic book that wraps up the Creek Canyon Series. Sad to see this end. With the down to earth characters and wonderful storytelling it has been pure pleasure reading each of these books. In this one we get Grace Hudson's story. She's the sister of two prior characters so seeing her finally get her HEA was fun. I really enjoyed the hints of humor as Dameon pursues Grace as well as the bits of mystery weaved throughout the story. This is definitely a book for the must read list. I highly recommend it.
Loved it! Although Grace works in a male dominated world she can hold her own. I love her strength and sense of humor. Dameon is determined to win Grace over but she has some wounds to heal first.....good thing he’s a patient man! I loved catching up with the characters from the other books too.
Will a chance encounter lead to more. Grace is done with men, she even works in a male domineering career as a civil engineer, where is she always having to prove herself. Dameon, is working on his new development project when he finds out that Grace is leading the project. Grace is not ready for a new relationship but Dameon will not give up. Soon Grace need Dameon on her side when her job and life are in danger.
This is a book that I had a hard time putting down. Loved these characters, great chemistry and banter. I love the relationship that Grace has with her family, a family that everyone would want. Now, Dameon's family had me laughing. A touch of suspense that is added, will keep you turning the pages.
This is the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. It was great catching up with Grace's brothers. This is a series that I did not want to see end. I received an early copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. I highly recommend!!
The perfect Addition to the Fall Season
Let me start by stating the heroine in the last book of the Canyon Creek series is the perfect storm! Grace is just enough feisty and independent and quirky to catch your attention and her soft, vulnerable side makes you keep on reading. I think this read for me is the best of the series.
Of course the Hero is Dameon Locke, Mr Stare Happy, and he loves quirky and feisty! In fact, she’s his favorite past time! He’s extremely yummy and a long, Tall drink of water when your mouth is as dry as the Sahara cause you imagine Grace is in awe of said yumminess! She can’t get away from it! But who wants to while reading this story? See what I did there? That’s what a Bybee book does!
Grace is an engineer and Dameon is the man with money for a new development. He ends up wanting to develop a relationship of course! Oh, and the land too. Lol!
There’s scary Mafia-like guys, crazy family and friends, bad bosses and matchmaker friends who encourage the heroine to find someone else.
Your gonna laugh!
Pick this story up. Catherine Bybee’s books are worth every penny! And it seems I always want to revisit these characters! You will too.
I received this story as an ARC from Montlake Publishers but I am purchasing for my personal library. Supporting a writer is a lifetime of pleasure! Thanks Cat!
Grace and Dameon were a joy to read! Flirtatious banter and sexual tension for days! Loved these two! Definite must read!
Grace has been on shaky ground dating since her run in with Erin's ex. But Dameon is like a strong wind that blows in and she can't keep him out of her thoughts.
Dameon is enchanted with Grace. Unlike any other woman he has ever dated, she is strong and independent and brings out a side in him that he never knew existed.
With a conflict of interest , Grace must decide what to do. But a bully of a man and an accusation that is unfounded risk her job and reputation. But she won't sit quietly. And with Dameon by her side anything is possible. But dangerous times may be ahead. Will these two make it thru it all?
How do you accurately express all the feelings in such an amazing soulful book? That’s the best word to describe this masterpiece: soulful. It’s also inspiring, hilarious and yes at times tearful. This is just an amazing series that I loved from book one.
I received this ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review
Grace Hudson is the only women in a man's world in the department where she works as a civil engineer for the city. She knows she has to work harder and play by the rules, she gets along with her co-workers, but her boss is another thing altogether, so when she gets the lead on a new project, she does on the dynamic and good-looking Damon Locke to add to her trying not to break the rules.
From the first meeting Damon is very much attracted to Grace Hudson and she has to fight to keep things on a business level so her boss does not get wind of just how much she is attracted to Damon.
Grace keeps it to business until another project that was given to her at the last minute by her boss leads her into a nasty meeting with another developer who tries to intimidate and bribe her to do things his way, and she is so shook up, that the one person she can turn to outside of her family, is Damon Locke...
I loved how important Damon became to Grace in a short span of time. She did not want to turn to the males in her family, her two brother’s and her father, who when it comes to their sister and daughter, there was nothing that they would not do to right any wrongs against Grace. But Damon saw how Grace could hold her own and was her champion.
The chemistry between them just sizzles off the pages, but even with their growing attraction to one another Damon sees her a strong and independent woman fighting for her place in the world, and still be sexy and alluring when she wanted to be. When her world comes crashing down on her, Damon will move any obstacle in her way for the women who has become his world.
The Canyon Creek series has been a joy to read and I think this book just might be my favorite to the three-book series. I so wish there was going to be more. Catherine Bybee has given us a book kept me reading this book far into the night and as always when I read her books, I want to hurry to see what comes next, but I savor each page. Another great book and series by Catherine Bybee. As always, I can’t wait for the next book by this wonderful writer who is a must read for me.
In Everything Changes, book 3 in the Creek Canyon series by Catherine Bybee, we follow Grace Hudson, sister to Colin and Matt. While Grace is a strong woman, thriving in a career typically associated with the male gender, her encounter with Erin's ex has left their scars. While she's always been a confident woman, she continues to be pulled into dreams that leave her reeling.
When Damean spots her escaping for some fresh air during her brothers wedding, he is absolutely captivated and drawn to her. He considers it a huge win when he runs into her at her local coffee shop the next day.
Grace can't deny the pull she feels to Damean, but now she's the lead city engineer for the project his company is working on, and she's thrown into his company far more than she's comfortable with. But Damean works hard and starts to break down those walls she's erected, and the two continue to get closer to one another.
While Grace faces battles on her career front, she's faced with accusations that could ruin her budding relationship with Damean.
Damean is an amazing hero, and the perfect man to help Grace battle the demons of her past and the current ones she's facing at work. The two have crazy hot chemistry - I couldn't have imagined a more perfect fit.
I love to read a book that leaves me smiling when I finish it and that is what “Everything Changes” did. I really enjoyed this series and hate to see it end. This book was especially enjoyable because we got to revisit all the characters from the other two books. Dameon and Grace were fantastic together! Grace was very untrusting of her choices in men thanks to Erin’s ex-husband from the second book in the series. I loved how Dameon was so patient and made a big effort to find out why. He also helped her immensely in getting her confidence back, both in love and at work. Being a woman in an office of men only, Grace was finally able to stand up for herself and show her boss she would not be pushed around any longer and taken for granted. I loved how Dameon made sure he got to know the entire family and became a part of that family. This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and highly recommend this, and the other two books in the series. Can’t wait to see what Catherine Bybee comes out with next. I know I won’t be disappointed!!
Catherine Bybee is one of the very few authors on the must read list for me. I have most, if not all of her books. Everything Changes is book 3 in the Creek Canyon Series. This book is a lighter subject than book 2 in the series where she touches on domestic violence.
This book focuses on Grace Hudson, the little sister of Colin and Matt from the previous books, and starts off where book 2 ended.
I am so happy that Catherine decided to catch us up on the wonderful characters that we met in the previous books.
II would definitely recommend this book. I did receive an ARC for my honest review.
I can not wait to see what Catherine has in store for us next.

This book focuses on Grace Hudson, the little sister of Colin and Matt from the previous books and happens after Matt and Erin get their happy ending in book two.
Grace has gone off men for a while after the debacle with Desmond and is getting on with a job that she likes, but with a boss that treats her as unworthy as she is a woman in a mans job.
Dameon is taken by Grace from the moment that he first see's her, let alone meets her. He finds a way to keep seeing her and pushes his way into her life, even if once he has to hand his man card back for a pedicure.
Dameon and Grace just click together, the chemistry there almost instantly with Grace showing him a side of her that is not often on display, she also trusts him when she needs help, but does not want to get her family involved. Both end up helping each other in ways they never expected and Dameon does well in helping Grace with an issue that comes up at work.
Another brilliantly written book from Catherine Bybee that gives you all the feels where you just cannot help but root for the couple to get together and for the bad stuff to end and the good stuff to begin.
