This is a great wee counting book that I will definitely want to use in school with younger classes. Lovely illustrations as well. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for an egalley.

I don't, as a general rule, read many counting books. It's not as if counting changes. But I'm fond of Clanton's work so I figured I'd give this one a look. The main text is exactly what you would expect. THe charm is in the dialogue between various animals. Cute.

I love a good counting book for children. It is a great way to spend time with your kiddos while teaching them. This counting book includes fun animal characters that play on words. If you child has a great sense of humor, this will become their favorite book for sure. It starts with 1 Moose making a movie. And the movie is non other than a moose-ical. You have 13 pages of laughter and fun to share! Highly recommend.

A special thank you to Sasquatch Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

This is a fun addition to counting books. I appreciate that it goes beyond the usual ten. I also like that each page uses alliteration, which gives it an extra teachable element. I think older children will love the puns.

This is such a sweet counting book that goes from 1-13. There is a ton of alliteration that you use to point out beginning sounds as well. Kids will surely enjoy seeing all the animals throughout the book.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Sasquatch Books/Little Bigfoot for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's counting book. What a fun book!! The graphics are gorgeous, with so much detail. I giggled over the word play. I think many young children will enjoy this book, and if an older sibling is reading it they won't mind either. 4.5 stars

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This is a really comical counting book that gave me a giggle as I read it. There's some superbly clever wordplay in this book relating to the animals in each number group .

This book will be a memorable book for children that get the humour in it and a different kind of counting book too.

The illustrations are beautiful and have so much detail within them that children will sit and look at them as they read the pages.

Sweet, light, and detailed illustrations and a clever word play story make this book fun for all ages. Young readers will definitely enjoy the animal antics and simple counting. Older readers will chuckle at the alliteration and wordplay throughout. If you are looking for a counting book with lots of EXTRAS, this is it!

This is a cute counting book. I like that it goes to 13. Makes it different. It's FULL of puns. I think small children will enjoy it, but the puns are definitely for older readers. I would likely use it as a read-aloud with kindergartners, but also with older kids to teach about word play.

Pleasant, but I don't see this winning out in the crowded market of counting books. We get the usual thing, of one animal doing an unusual thing, then two different ones doing something else, and so on, but that's where this ends. I couldn't include the punning speech bubbles as a USP, for they were quite irritating and unfunny, if truth be told. I wouldn't object to my toddler using this for their numbers, but I have reviewed better and more clever counting books (9781786275660 being one). For now, though, this is, to repeat, a pleasant second best. Three and a half stars.
