No Offense is fun romance set in Little Bridge Island, Florida. Molly, the new children's librarian has her dream job and is busy planning for the library's move to a new building. She loves her patrons and is dedicated to her job.
Then she meets the town Sherrif, who she initially dislikes, when she finds a newborn baby left in the library's bathroom. Molly then discovers a young girl left bleeding to death in the library's new building. She gets wrapped up in trying to solve the mysteries and keeps running into the Sherrif John Hartwell. John is recently divorced and both Molly and John try to hide their attraction to each other. Over time we watch as they fall in love as they work to solve the msyteries of the baby left in the library.

When a man of the law meets a woman of the books, sparks fly as the work to help the people of an adorably quaint Florida resort town. As Molly settles into her new roll as the Children's Librarian in Little Bridge, she deals with each challenge that comes her way with a can-do attitude and a smile. When a patron tells her there is an emergency in the bathroom, she doesn't expect to find a newborn in a stall. Upon calling the Sheriff's office who polices the small town, she meets John, the Sheriff in town. A single dad with little in his life besides his daughter and his career, As the paths of Molly and John crisscross all over town, they learn to do one of the hardest things - admit you are wrong and work together to make life in their small town a happily ever after for all. Except the criminals.

No Offense was an enjoyable, lighthearted read from Meg Cabot featuring a romance between a do-gooder public librarian heroine and the local sheriff. The writing is crisp, the tone good natured, and though I took awhile to warm up to Molly, John was enjoyable from the start. Set in the resort town of Little Bridge, Florida and with a small dollop of mystery and a fun cast of characters, this was a good quarantine read in the middle of the night.
(What I didn't get was the title--it didn't really have anything to do with the book.)

I enjoy Meg Cabot's books and this was a cute, quick read. Fans of chick lit will devour this latest book. A good afternoon read.

I really enjoy Meg Cabot as an author, that's why I was surprised that I didn't enjoy this book. There is just something that stopped me from really getting into it, i believe it was amateur sleuthing of Molly that stopped me. I loved seeing all the quirky residents of Little Bridge again, and look forward to other books in this series.

Meg Cabot has always been an author I enjoy reading. Her newest book, No Offense would make a great summer beach read. It has a very light mystery, an abandoned baby at the library, and a sweet romance between the children's librarian and the town Sheriff.
This book has laughs, mystery and a sweet romance - perfect light reading!

As a librarian myself, I was a little skeptical of the choice of profession, but I'll give Meg Cabot a pass. Although the plot devices should be stale, Cabot handles them with humor and ease. I stayed in my pjs to read this on a Saturday morning - perfect choice for quarantine reading when you're dreaming of the beach.

Welcome back to Little Bridge! No Offense brings island flair to a light whodunit with sweet will they/ won’t they romantic twist featuring the town’s new librarian and sheriff. Light, bright an breezy like the keys. Very enjoyable!

Fans of Chick Lit and Meg Cabot will love the cute banter. It is a fast romantic read.

I love Meg Cabot. I've read pretty much all of her YA stuff, and several of her adult books and enjoyed pretty much all of them. That said, this book was not one of my favorites. "No Offense" is the second novel in Cabot's new Little Bridge Island series, a collection of stories set on a small Florida key full of quirky characters. This particular installment features a romance between the new children's librarian and the divorced local sheriff, as well as a minor mystery involving a baby abandoned in the library.
"No Offense" is a quick beach read, and basically it's...inoffensive. There is very little stress or conflict anywhere in the book, and what there is is resolved almost immediately. Our two leads are relatively thinly drawn (though generally likable), and have an instant attraction that isn't based on much except for both being single and good looking while in a small town. The "mystery" is never very mysterious, and serves mostly as a plot device to show off the quirks of a Florida tourist town while allowing our two leads to be drawn into each other's orbits. I think my favorite character was actually the sheriff's teenage daughter Katie, who I think kind of deserves her own story.
If you like Meg Cabot and you enjoyed the first Little Bridge Island book then this offers more of the same. It's quick, fluffy, and light on plot or characterization. On the plus side, this is not a bad time to be reading some light escapist romance.

I don't usually write negative reviews because usually I can find something to enjoy or some reason to recommend a title to a patron but in this case I'm unable to. I am so disappointed in this one, especially because I loved No Judgments. That one was quirky and cute but this one irritated me from the first couple of pages. The main character is a children's librarian but during a cookie-decorating program for toddlers she had a thirteen year old boy attend. In front of the children, he was making obscene, inappropriate gestures and the librarian didn't seem too concerned. And later the sheriff comes in the library with his daughter to get some books and a library staff member mentions how he can't wait to get home so he can post all over Facebook about what the sheriff checked out. So much for privacy. Unfortunately, the book is just not well written. DNF @33%.

I love Meg Cabot, and was so excited to read this new book. It was absolutely terrific. The main characters -- a children's librarian and the local sheriff -- are well developed and appealing, and their love story rings true. There's a mystery involving an abandoned infant, and that plotline sort of ties the whole book together. The setting, a little beach town in Florida, is really fun. I look forward to recommending this to readers who want a quick "beach book," as this is kind of a short novel. Hope she writes a sequel, because I love these fun characters and the town they live in.

I enjoyed being back in Little Bridge Island for another charming romcom in this series, which I hope continues for a while. This world gives off Stars Hallow vibes, and its very fun getting to know all the quirky characters. Molly and John are a sweet couple. This sequel will be appealing to readers who like romances with a touch of mystery.

No Offense would make a cute beach read. It has a very light mystery, an abandoned baby at the library, and a sweet romance between the children’s librarian and the town Sheriff. The story was a nice weekend diversion
I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley and this is my honest review.

I am always super excited to dive into a Meg Cabot novel! No Offense is the second installment in the Little Bridge Island series and I enjoyed it until the last page! Meg combines a cozy mystery and a sweet romance and does a really great job with that! The novel deals with real life issues all whilst keeping it on the lighter side! I absolutely adore the little town of Little Bridge!! I seriously want to move there and become friends with all of its fantastic and eclectic inhabitants! This novel was exactly what I was in the mood to read and as with every time I finished a Meg Cabot novel, I am already looking forward to the next book from her!

This was a nice little love story with a bit of a mystery thrown in. As a librarian, I appreciated all the details about the librarian character's work. It was an enjoyable light read.

What a charming, cozy mystery! Messy but kindhearted Molly is the new children's librarian in Little Bridge Island. When she meets the town's no nonsense, good looking, single dad sheriff, sparks fly - and not always in the best way! I love that the main character is a librarian, and Cabot does a great job depicting the many tasks in a librarian's day. This book has laughs, mystery and a sweet romance - perfect light reading!

This is a quick, fun read about a youth services librarian falling for the local sheriff. A romance and mystery mash up in her Little Island Bridge series. You do not need to read them in order. The stories stand on their own.

I don’t want to have to force myself to continue reading thistle when it already feels like a drag. The third person narration of both the male and female protagonists belittles their thoughts and emotions. Additionally, the tone is trite. And, yes, many romances are purposefully light of tone, but this one is vapid.

What a charming, light romance by the author of The Princess Diaries, set on Little Bridge, a small island in the Florida Keys. Molly is the new children’s librarian. She took the job to escape a broken engagement back in Colorado. During a storytime, Molly discovers an abandoned newborn which leads to her meeting the town’s gorgeous sheriff.
John, Little Bridge’s straight edge sheriff, finds himself drawn to Molly despite her messy desk and desire to help him solve the case.
John’s teenage daughter, Katie and Mrs. Tifton, an elderly benefactor of local charities, add in some charmingly goofy and lighthearted moments.
Meg Cabot did her research about what it’s like to work in a library. Although I’m glad that I’ve never discovered an abandoned baby. Or had a story time dad with bourbon in his coffee.
Perfect gentle read or beach read.
