I really love all the Geronimo Stilton books but these graphic novels really go above and beyond. This one did not disappoint, had lots of vibrant colors, and was easy to follow along with.

Looking for more fun with the mouse reporter Geronimo Stilton and his family and friends? Here’s another adventure! I love Geronimo Stilton’s stories and characters, they are a lot of clean fun for my daughters who look forward to every new title and want me to read it again and again. This is volume five of the Geronimo Stilton Reporter” series and while earlier I said volume four was my favorite one of the “Geronimo Stilton Reporter” series published by Papercutz volume five now takes first place!

This story involves Geronimo Stilton and his rival The Daily Rat. The story begins with their ace reporter, Simon Squealer, secretly giving Geronimo Stilton a false lead in order to take a picture to embarrass him in their news service so you get the idea of what kind of news organization The Daily Rat must be. But when Simon shows up to ask Geonimo and Geronimo’s family and friends for help, claiming that his editor in chief Sally Ratmousen is kidnapped, they must decide whether to help or whether to tread carefully since it might be the notorious mobster Barry the Moustache behind her disappearance!

There’s delightful twists and turn in the story! I love how the character Barry the Moustache, they made him like a mob boss. And yet it was done in a way that’s still kid and family friendly! The illustrations are awesome as usual and also the dialogues funny and amusing. Don’t miss the end of the book which also has a preview for the next volume!

When Simon Squealer rushes in and reports that his boss and rival to Geronimo Stilton, Sally Ratmousen is missing, Geronimo is confused whether to believe in it. Hoax or not, Geronimo wants to help find Sally who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. If that wasn't peculiar enough he and his team learns that the kidnapper is none other than Barry the Moustache. He is the same notorious criminal whom Geronimo accidentally put behind bars a few years ago and ever since have been holding on to the fear of impending doom upon his requital.

But the fear doesn't stop him to get to the bottom of the matter. So with shaky legs and quaking thoughts, can Geronimo find out the truth?

This series just keeps getting better and better with every book. It is hilarious, mysterious and adventurous at the same time, all wrapped up in a single amazing story. The ending was totally unexpected. Loved it.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review.

My seven-year-old is a huge fan of Geronimo Stilton books and when I told him we would have a chance to look at one before it was published, he was thrilled! It received a glowing report, and the fact that he finished it in a day and told me about it with a big smile was enough to let me know that it was a good read.
