What an adorable story, my son can’t stand bedtime and this book caught my eye. He’s just starting to sit still for stories and this one held his attention the entire time. We loved it.

I loved this unique book about a book telling the kid who sleeps in him about why he doesn't enjoy bedtime so much and plenty of other times too. Bed has a great nose about these times which are very comical and then looks happy and content at the end, almost like he feels good for getting it all off his chest and still loves the boy.
This is a great unique book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I will be reading it to my little one tomorrow night as I'm sure she will love it.

A novel approach to the age-old parental dilemma of bedtime. Here is a bed’s-eye take on the matter. From its vantage point, bed (a anthropomorphized character) explains how drooling, kicking, stinky smells and noise keep it from resting at bedtime. Bed offers suggestions for a quieter, bed-friendly way to rest. A cute and original idea with a gentle, restful, color pallete for the illustrations.

Amusing and fun, this bed sure had a lot to say, now, if beds could have really talk we all would have been in some serious doo, doo. So it’s a lucky thing they can’t right, “hahaha”, anyway, the illustrations are very quirky and colorful, a great bedtime story.

What an adorable book!! My kiddos absolutely loved it especially my 4 and 5 year old. They thought it was funny the bed was the one doing all the talking. It also was a great book to bring up the topic of cleaning their rooms and being gentle with furniture so it lasts longer.
This is our first book by Monica Arnaldo and we just loved it. The illustrations are perfect and definitely bring a smile to your face and in some instances laughter to my kids. We definitely recommend it!

First off, I absolutely loved the book. In fact, I re-read it soon after I reached the final page for it was too funny. We have all heard of bed time stories, but how often do we come across a tale 'by a bed'?
The core concept of it intrigued me and I'm sure every reader would find it to be cool. The illustrations were spot-on and are sure to elicit laughter and smiles.

I bet every single bed out there would be happy when they come to know that Monica Arnaldo has written a book about them, and made sure that their feelings are heard.

Go for it !!

Bed wants a story read to him in this sweet, little children's book.

A child's bed is personified in this tale and let's his owner know all of his thoughts! Bed feels left out and sad because nobody likes going to bed! He talks back to the kid and let's him know his real feelings.

This is quite the comedy book. It's amusing if you read it in just the right tone. I appreciated it as an adult and I can easily see children giggling along to this story.

I did wish the ending had a bit more... umph. It felt lacking. There was no big funny ending or lesson learned. It just felt like a goofy gimmick. I still think kids will love it for it's comedy, but it fell a little flat for me.

The art style is funky, bright and colourful. It fits the sassiness of this fun story very well!

Time for Bed's Story is a funny and cute picture book told from the perspective of the bed. We as readers are asked to consider things from bed's point of view: the kicking, the drooling, the noises, and the smells! This book would be perfect for teaching point of view in my classroom, and it will definitely be added to my shelf.

This is a strange (yet surprisingly entertaining) picture book, told in the second-person point of view by a bed (yes, a bed) that refers to itself in the third person.

Have you ever wondered what your bed thought of you? Maybe it doesn't like being kicked or drooled on. Maybe it takes it really personally when you say you don't want to go to bed. Maybe... that bed is just waiting for an opportunity to tell you just how it feels.

The story isn't really a story so much as a gimmick, but it's kind of cute, and it works. The illustrations are what sell the book, though. They're colourful, engaging, and portray the feelings of the annoyed bed quite well.

This might make a good bedtime read. I'd also recommend it to readers who enjoy quirky books about anthropomorphized objects.

This is a bedtime story like you’ve never read before. It is told from the perspective of the bed, and what it is like to have a child jump, wiggle, drool, and steal the covers all night long. Oh, and don’t forget the smells!

It is a story that I think most parents will relate to, and children will find humorous. I bet they have never considered how the bed felt about their actions before!

The illustrations are colorful and fun, and almost have a vintage look to them, which I found visually appealing.

My biggest complaint would have to be the ending. It just kind of ended. I wouldn’t let that stop you from reading the book, though. It’s still a fun read and would make a great bedtime story.

Get ready for the honest truth, because bed is sharing it's feelings about life with children in this picture book. The art and details will make children and adults more thoughtful of how they treat this underrespected piece of furniture. A great way to teach about point of view and personification to younger readers. Also, a great book for families to share at bedtime!

Time for Bed's Story by Monica Arnaldo is such a humorous sweet little book about a bed tired of the living situation in his boy's room. He grumps and complains, but in the end you can see he's really in love with the boy. It's so cute and sweet, and I feel like I have the same feelings as Bed does toward my child! I think this book is almost for us caregivers out there who might complain about messy, loud, stinky kids...but really we just love them so much!

What a humorous and creative book! My students will be delighted by the idea that a bed also has its misgivings about them. It is so clever and young readers will identify with the bed as well as the sleeper. What fun!

I loved this one! 'Time for Bed's Story' is hilarious and strange with adorable illustrations. By telling its lighthearted story, it imparts the idea that kids should respect their bed and room. This would be especially great for 4 to 7 year olds as they will get the humor more.

My favourite part of this book as the illustrations. I absolutely loved them. I feel like they have this 80s-90s feel to them. So that right away is what grabbed my attention when I saw the cover. So most of my star rating is for the illustrations.

The story itself is original which I appreciated. It made me smile too. This is one I would read to a younger child.

I’m a huge fan of books that have an unexpected perspective, so this was a treat. Bed is the narrator in this book and he gives his side of the story. He files his grievances throughout the book. He is not fond of drooling, kicking,etc. It has a sweet ending as well.

This book was not what I was expecting. The bed complained the entire story about how he was treated during bedtime. I thought the ending would be sweeter. The artwork reminded me of books from the 80s and 90s.

A silly joyful tale told from the point of view of the bed (ha!), about all the silly ridiculous antics children do to avoid bedtime. Colorful and funny (for a child), recommended for bedtime routine for the reluctant sleeper. Those who already love their bedtime routine, or those who sleep well, may find this inspires ideas on how exactly to avoid bedtime, caveat, so recommended only for the reluctant creative nonsleeper ;) ....
