This book was adorable! It is told from a little boys bed perspective and how he thinks he can be a little more clean and think of how the bed feels when he does certain things. This would be a fun bed time story book for any child!

A colorful, fun picture book for bedtime. The silly story involves the bed telling its side of the story re: all of the ups and downs that happen in a child's bedroom. Nothing revolutionary, but 'anthropomorphized common objects combined with a humorous tone' tends to be a picture book trope that I enjoy. The one thing that kind of annoyed me is that throughout the book, Bed is consistently referred to as "Bed" instead of telling the story with the first-person "I".

Time for Bed's Story is a cute book told from a young boy's bed's perspective. Bed thinks that boy could maybe be a little more courteous and clean when it comes to how he treats Bed. In the end, though, Bed clearly loves the boy. The illustrations are really the star here, encapsulating all of the memories a child builds in their bedroom.

"Time for Bed's Story" by Monica Amaldo, is a picture book which tells the story of bed time from the bed's perspective. The illustrations are very cute, funny and detailed. Kids aged 4-8 or so would enjoy the pictures. The is written in the third person, from the bed's point of view, which could be confusing to younger children. The story is a little simple for older children who might understand perspective. Some of the example such as bad breath, drooling, and keeping moldy sandwiches under the bed might not be concepts the younger readers would understand.
Overall, this is a cute book with great illustrations and kids working on perspective and point of view could enjoy it. There might be a mismatch between some of the ideas and the ages this book is targeted for.

I absolutely loved this one. I’m still laughing to myself. Bed is one of my favorite characters in a while. The text was great and the illustrations were fantastic. Highly recommend. I’ll probably read this one again sometime soon.

Time for Bed's Story is a hilarious picture book about a child who has irritating sleeping habits for Bed. The illustrations are big, colorful, and adorable! My 2-year old son seems to relate a lot to the child. ("I also kick bed. And drool-skies.") And also thought Bed was incredibly funny. That's a 5/5 for me. I recommend this to all the parents out there.

Adorable and funny book about bedtime from the bed’s point of view. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a children’s book from this perspective, so it was very fresh and innovative. Perfect for many different age groups and people. Young children, parents, librarians, and teachers would especially enjoy it. The illustrations were beautiful, and they were captivating with many things to looks at.

Bed is the narrator of this amusing story, telling the little boy that sleeps there that he kicks in his sleep, drools, takes the blankets, and is annoying in other ways. Bed’s requests are not unique but are fair and reported with wry humor. The little boy presents as white with dark hair; his one friend appears to be an African-American girl. The watercolor illustrations depict a modern bedroom filled with toys, stickers, and quilts, and should have universal appeal. Overall, the story is a little too subtle to inspire requests to read it again.

This is a quick and enchanting read! Perfect for an every day bedtime story. Beautiful illustrations and humorous viewpoint from Bed! I could see my toddler asking to read this one over and over again.

Believe it or not, little ones do not like going to bed. They fuss, they make deals, they aren't having it. The bed of that little one has it's own story to tell. Kiddo's might have a different take on bed time after hearing what their bed has to put up with. It's funny, entertaining, and engaging. Parent and kiddos will have fun with this one.

What a cute and funny little story. Rather than tell kids they should be good at bed, you use the bed to tell them that they are making it sad. It works so well and tells a story of all your bed experiences with you, as you grow, from stickers to kicks and giggles. It a sweet story with lovely illustrations. We plan to read it many more times!

This was a fun idea for a book! My 3 year old enjoyed reading it with me. The bed was a little grumpy which made the story fall a little flat.

Its no great mystery that for some children and their parents that bedtime is no cake-walk. But have we ever stopped to think about how BED feels about bedtime?!

This book and its illustrations are cute, a little quirky and quite funny. The perfect FUN bedtime read!

Cute! This is a sweet little bedtime story about Bed who is a bit fed up with all the things it has to put up with. The illustration style is really charming and there's something so lovely about the line quality that I really connect with. I think most of the book works reasonably well, but I don't feel like it resolves that well in the end. It's not a deal-breaker, but it keeps it from being a top tier recommendation.

What a creative story for children!! The connection between a child and their bed is something out of the ordinary!! A lot of children do not enjoy bedtime (as a teacher in training I definitely know this) and this book helps children look at their beds from a different perspective. Young minds are the most creative, and this book helps kids continue with that creative juice flow!!

Cute idea for a bedtime book. I enjoyed how the bed was a character in the book with feelings. It is a good message to help with any kids that are fighting bedtime.

This book gives children the opportunity to look at their bedtime battles from a different perspective. You might not like going to bed, but how does your bed feel about you? Maybe you're not that great either, with all of that kicking, all of that drooling, and all of the stickers you've stuck on the headboard.

Bed's self-expression in this book amused me, and I like the illustrations, which give off a nineties picture book vibe. I'm also fond of the stuffed panda who makes occasional side appearances. However, even though this book is creative and unique, it builds up to nothing much and fizzles out at the end. This is mainly just a gimmick book, and even though it is cute and fun, it doesn't have a sufficient narrative arc to make it a favorite to return to again and again.

Time for Bed's Story is an absolutely adorable tale of how the bed feels when children refuse bedtime. The bed asks the child to consider all of the things that the bed goes through, such as kicking, drooling and smells. It is an excellent and creative way to present perspective to young children...aside from addressing the concrete issue of children not wanting to go to bed. The illustrations in this book are detailed and colorful.

Bed has some things to say! In this charming, clever story, we learn what it's like to be the focus of the nightly protestations surrounding bed time.

Parents will instantly recognize the classic night time excuses and odd sleeping habits of children. Families will enjoy laughing along and can use the story as a vehicle to discuss empathy and how one's actions might affect others. The facial expressions of Bed are sure to produce lots of giggles and beg to be imitated.

Teachers will find many learning opportunities in Time for Bed's Story... perspective, illustrative text, empathy, and writing/speaking prompts galore. What would your bed say about you? What might other items in your house have to say?

I'll be sure to refer back to this story the next time my girls start the delay tactics. Hopefully it softens their resolve and they jump into bed a little bit sooner!

Great illustrations and fun story! The long-suffering bed attempts to reason with its child but we're left hanging as to whether the child ever changes.
