Two pages in, and I was soon chuckling at the book. It took a very funny turn and I absolutely loved that. It is always a creative pursuit to look at things from the perspective of a mundane, inanimate object, so i think this book has a lot more to teach kids than what the bed is getting at.

It was a fun story to read. If a bed could talk, then would definitely feel like the bed in the story.

This book is funny because the boy who owns the bed doesn't take good care of his bed because he drools on it and never washes the bed sheets I think.

This is definitely a unique and creative picture book! Unfortunately it didn't really appeal to me, as the illustrations were a bit boring (in my opinion) and the writing didn't flow as well as it could have. Some kids would find this book funny though and it is a bit of fun!

A cute bedtime story for kids that might encourage them to think twice before throwing a fit before bed.

Time for Bed's Story is a sweet and amusing picture book told from the perspective of a bed. This particular bed belongs to a kid who doesn't like to go to bed, likes to jump on his bed, stick stickers on his bed and otherwise abuse the bed.

This was a fun twist on the "please just go to sleep" picture book that all parents of young children wish would actually make their kids just go to sleep. This book would be great to read to kids ages 3 and up.

This book’s dedication includes the title “bedtime champions,” and can I just say? This is a title I’d be honored to have. Bed is my favorite place on Earth, so I jumped at the chance to read this cute, little tale. It’s funny that as kids, most of us hate bedtime, yet once we reach adulthood, bedtime is the goal at the end of the day, and for some of us, we wish bedtime could be anytime.

This little tale is told from Bed’s point of view. Bed understands that kids hate bedtime, but Bed would like to reason with kids and have them consider their feelings once in a while. Bed describes all the activities that children do in and around it that don’t involve sleeping. This is interesting to note, because as adults, bedrooms are for sleeping, but as kids, it’s their spot in the world, their space to sleep, ready, study, play, etc, and that’s super important.

The kid(s) in this book sleep in bed, albeit in the most uncomfortable ways, but they also leave food and dirty shoes underneath Bed, they jump on and build forts around bed, they put stickers all over Bed, and do all sorts of other activites inconsiderate of Bed’s feelings, but there seems to be a kinship between Bed and their child, and that’s cute.

The illustrations are fun, whimsical, and definitely geared toward kids, which I think is a plus. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for a bedtime story, and it was written by a lady who hated beditme herself as a kid, and like me, now loves and relishes in it.

This one is out in September, so keep an eye out for it at your favorite bookstore or local library!

I loved this story; Bed is so cheeky! In this story Bed tells us what your bedtime routine is like from Bed’s perspective. You kick Bed, drool on Bed, steal all the blankets from Bed, how do you think that makes Bed feel? I love the illustrations and the faces that Bed makes.

This book would make a fantastic addition to every bedtime library!

“Time for Bed’s Story” by Monica Arnaldo is a story about Bed’s feelings And how it is being used by a little boy. I thought the story was cute as we can all imagine how Bed feels about being jumped and drooled on by children. I like the use of personification and would you the story to introduce the literary concept in an early elementary classroom.

Cute. Would recommend as a read aloud for 4-7 year old, as younger children Matt not understand the tongue in cheek humor.

A cute picture book from the point of view of the bed, about the way the child treats the bed at bedtime and through the day. The art was cute and it's definitively supposed to be funny,not teaching a lesson or something like that.

Such a sweet book. I love the concept of having children think outside themselves. This has an underlying theme of empathy. However, in the end, acceptance wins. My 6 year old found this to be laugh-out-loud funny.

Very funny, clever book told from the perspective of a bed. This is a great story for encouraging kids to respect the home and develop cleaning habits. The illustrations have a delightful vintage quality that I didn't realize I missed so much. Reminds me of the older Golden books, which made me smile.

Super cute story. I think this book could help teach lessons in honest and compassion while still remaining fun. I love the illustrations as they have a bit of a retro vibe.

My Thoughts
I really enjoy reading children's books from time to time so I selected a few from NetGalley that piqued my curiosity. This book was my first choice and it is so cute! Here are my pros and cons for Time for Bed’s Story:

Pros

1. Adorable illustrations. Bed’s “facial expressions” are silly and fun!
2. It is a delightful story told from the viewpoint of the bed. The synopsis tells you all you need to know about this cute book, but I will add that I think kids will enjoy the different perspective and perhaps even respect their beds a little more in the future!
3. I loved it when Bed complained about the “stinky” things – bad breath, drool, rotten food, and stinky shoes!!! It is super funny and kids will love it.
4. It is written with simple, understandable words. There isn’t a lot of text, as with most kid’s picture books, but the story still comes through loud and clear.

Summary
I 100% recommend this book! The target age is noted as 3-7 years, but I believe kids and adults of all ages will love this story! I did!
