4 stars.

My favourite part of this book as the illustrations. I absolutely loved them. I feel like they have this 80s-90s feel to them. So that right away is what grabbed my attention when I saw the cover. So most of my star rating is for the illustrations.

The story itself is original which I appreciated. It made me smile too. This is one I would read to a younger child.

I’m a huge fan of books that have an unexpected perspective, so this was a treat. Bed is the narrator in this book and he gives his side of the story. He files his grievances throughout the book. He is not fond of drooling, kicking, etc. It has a sweet ending as well.

This book was not what I was expecting. The bed complained the entire story about how he was treated during bedtime. I thought the ending would be sweeter. The artwork reminded me of books from the 80s and 90s.

A silly joyful tale told from the point of view of the bed (ha!), about all the silly ridiculous antics children do to avoid bedtime. Colorful and funny (for a child), recommended for bedtime routine for the reluctant sleeper. Those who already love their bedtime routine, or those who sleep well, may find this inspires ideas on how exactly to avoid bedtime, caveat, so recommended only for the reluctant creative nonsleeper ;) ....

Thank you Netgalley and Kids Can Press for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. I read this story to my four year old and she absolutely loved the illustrations of this book! She was also very sad to see all the terrible things that bed had to go through with it's little human. I enjoyed the humor in this book and the illustrations.

What a funny book! Bed delivers his complaints about the sort of treatment that he's received over the years, and it is spot on! I was laughing throughout, but mostly because I kept thinking how true it all was. This child's poor bed has seen it all, and has plenty of grievances to air. Thank goodness beds aren't actually sentient so they don't have to be aware of all that they tolerate! I loved this book. I can't wait for it come out so that I can share it with kids. Really well done!

Art: Like the details

Story: The story could be seen in the vein of when the crayons quit – basically the story that can make kids (and older) think about how they treat bedtime and their bed/furniture.

I love the illusions in this book most! Super cute story and take on dreaded bedtime. My 7 and 3 year old loved it and read it several times on a row. They give it 5 stars, however I wasn’t pleased with its negative undertone, it was a little sassy at times. 3⭐️ from me but over all good story.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title.

I think kids who aren't a fan of bedtime will love reading this unique take on the nightly ritual!

This is an adorable story that tells about bedtime from none other than the Bed! Children will get a kick out of the silly references mentioned throughout that correspond to bedtime challenges. It is a great way to teach students about perspective and looking at another point of view.

Goodreads Review-Thank you, NetGalley, for a copy of this text. It is about time that Bed got to tell its story. This is a fun read. A different point of view than the typical bedtime story:) Bed is direct and clear and shares with the reader just what makes bedtime so tricky for her! The pictures are charming and the text is cute. This is a fun read for ages 4 and up.

I loved how Monica brought this bedtime story to life by the colorful illustrations . I equally loved how she brought in the bed's point of view to make it such a hilariously adorable story of the relationship between a bed and a child. I would read this book to any of my nieces or nephews.

Bed needs to tell you a story about how he is sorely mistreated. Maybe next time you can think of Bed at bedtime? I loved this unique take of bedtime from an actual Bed's perspective. It is super funny in a dry sense of humor sort of way. I love the illustrations - Bed has the most perfect facial expressions. I do think many parents and children will get a laugh out of this story. It's so fun and engaging.

I loved having the 'bed's' point of view on how a child sleeps. It's always fun to take an inanimate object and give it life and a personality, and I think the author did a great job of that. This would be a fun read for bedtime, or for a silly story time. Kids will love it!

Time for Bed's Story is a cute and unusual take on a child's bed's feelings. It goes through typical actions of kids and activities that may take place on a bed. These are not only nighttime (kicking, using covers) but also daytime (stickers, reading, jumping) activities.
This book has wonderful pictures and itt also addresses kids getting older and being able to reason. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone with children that might benefit or just enjoy a story with a small lesson!

Bedtime from the beds perspective. Definitely a great concept. The story itself was a little lacking for me, but I do believe this is a great story for kids who hate bedtime

First off, I believe this book was written specifically about our family. "Time for Bed's Story" by Monica Arnaldo really hits the nail on the head when it comes to things that occur in and around a child's bed. Everything from the stinky shoes under it to all the stickers that adorn it... Arnaldo gives the hilarious story from the bed's perspective.

This story is creative, engaging and fun! My kids enjoyed the book and then afterwards sat pondering if this is how their beds feel as well. I couldn't stop myself from laughing when we got to the portion of the book where poor bed is bedazzled with stickers all over it! This is exactly what it is like with little ones and stickers!

Overall, this was an enjoyable read for the whole family and will be loved time and time again!

Bed finally gets to tell their side of the bedtime story. Bed has a lot of things to say, so it’s best you listen. I think bed deserves a big ol hug after reading this one. Bed puts up with a lot. Bed is good.

Hate bedtime? Looks like children aren’t the only one. Bed has enough and Bed has something to say!

Children hating bedtime is a relatable experience. I love the concept of a talking bed. The bed’s perspective is humorous and highlights empathy. The illustration is bright, vivid, and engaging. The bed’s facial expression initially drew me in and throughout the book the bed’s expressions are hilarious.

I only wished the ending had a greater impact. Otherwise, this is such a fun book. Adorable and funny, I highly recommend this read! My niece hates bedtime so I’ll definitely read this book to her.
