I was unsure of what this book had in store for me the cover suggests innocence and playfulness, but what you actually get is a cleverly written murder mystery.
We are introduced to Pamela and her friends who are part of a knitting group in the town where they live, but when attending a Halloween bonfire things take a sinister turn for one inhabitant.
I can't say anymore because to do so would take away from the story, it is an enjoyable read with well thought out plot and characters.
I enjoyed reading this book but found it overly descriptive when the characters were eating and drinking, the food and drinks were described in great detail, the main characters coffee brewing being described in great detail everytime she made it as an example. That being said it's a minor annoyance and the book flows well managing to avoid murder mystery pitfalls I have seen appear in many a book.
The last chapter gives you a knitting pattern and two recipes to try, I loved the idea of including these to finish the book.
I will definitely be recommending it to others.

I have been following this series since the beginning. It continues to get better and better. The character development is excellent. The plot keeps me on my toes, wanting to read well into the night. It's hard to put the book down - so much so that I fell asleep late into the night with the book in my hands! I had an idea who the killer and was pleasantly surprised that three-quarters of the way through I found out in had been right.

I can't wait for the next book in the series!

The Knit and Nibble gang are back at it again in this Halloween installment of the series.
I enjoy the characters and the way they all come together to solve the mystery.

The Knit and Nibble gang is back and Fall has arrived in Arborville. While attending the town’s Halloween festival, Pamela and Bettina hear a scream and find a teenage couple who had snuck off into the woods have discovered a body. Turns out the woman in the costume was not the one who had originally planned to wear it and Pamela and Bettina share this with Nell and warn the woman that she may have been marked for murder and to be careful. When the woman herself is murdered, the three ladies begin sleuthing in earnest but are not swift enough to prevent yet another murder in their small town.

As the ladies continue to sift through clues, something is just hovering at the corner of Pamela’s mind that will help pull it all together. Now Pamela has to hope it comes to the surface before it all unravels and the killer gets away for good.

Another fun entry in this series. The Knit and Nibble group has a good mix of members and that adds to the storyline. Best part, aside from a solid whodunit, are the Knit project and Nibble recipes in each book. What’s not to love with all this series has to offer?
