This book gave me all the Christmas feels in the middle of summer in the midst of a pandemic and I loved it. I loved how cute this book was - I was hooked from the first sentence! This book was also hilarious. I don’t “laugh out loud” too often while reading, but this book had me giggling the whole way through. The romance was sweet, it was genuine, and it just made me smile. I love this series so much and cannot wait for more from Sarah Morgenthaler!

I wanted to like Mistletoe and Mr. Right but it fell flat for me. The story opens with a penis sculpture in the snow. Sounds fun right? Well I'm sorry but this story was boring. It didn't feel like a lot happened. I own a copy of The Tourist Trap so I'm hoping I'll enjoy that one more.

Thank you to @netgalley and @sourcebookscasa for a copy of this to read and review! This is the follow up to The Tourist Attraction, which is you haven’t read yet go but now!!! This is Lana and Rick’s story. This book starts with Lana trying to win over the town. She is on a mission to catch Santa Moose, a grinch moose who wants to ruin all the Christmas decorations! My favorite part in her quest is when Lana and Zoey go out moose hunting and Lana accidentally tranquilizes Rick instead of the moose. 🤣🤣🤣 This one had a little bit of a slow start for me (I think I was having a book hangover from the last one in the series which I adored) but I really enjoyed this on as well. This author is going to be a must buy for me. Her stories are so fun!

Mistletoe and Mr. Right is the second in the Moose Springs, Alaska series by Sarah Morgenthaler and it is every bit as fun and enjoyable as The Tourist Attraction was.

I'm a sucker for anything Christmas, and heading back to Moose Springs right in the midst of Christmas was everything I needed. Mistletoe, Christmas cookies, a Santa suit, two sizes too small and the light hunting, decoration destroying Santa Moose made for a perfect combination.

Lana was a favourite of mine from the first chapter of the Tourist Trap - getting a whole book about her great. She's the definition of a strong, independent woman and she has been attempting to do life on her own for as long as possible. This book let's us see that she isn't actually as bulletproof and tough as she wants everyone to think. She's vulnerable, scared and a little bit lonely - she isn't a ruthless business woman who can tear apart a town full of people she loves to make a quick buck.

Rick is an angel - that is the best way to describe him. A man who knits socks for his pet hedgehog and does his best to take care of a grumpy teenager who has suffered far more than he should have.

Rick and Lana were perfect for each other, they completely complimented one another as a couple. They make up for what the other lacks and even if they think it could just be a holiday fling at the start it's very clear they are made for one another.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am so thankful that I was provided an ARC. I can't wait to read the third instalment in the Moose Springs series.

This book is a great winter read. I will say it had a slowish start but once the ball started rolling, it did not stop. Rick and Lana are two lonely souls that find and perfectly complement each other. Definitely recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casa for the e-arch of this title.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right by Sarah Morgenthaler is an absolute joy. I loved The Tourist Attraction and Mistletoe and Mr. Right is a sequel that replicates all the things that made the original book special and adds some holiday magic to the mix. In my opinion Morgenthaler has pinpointed all the things that make a successful rom com.

Some things I loved about this book:

- Lana is a standout heroine. She's a fierce business woman who is vulnerable and caring and has a wacky family.
- Rick is a strong, quiet hero with a heart of gold. You've got to love a guy who continues taking responsibility for his ex-wife's nephew and menagerie of stray animals, even after she abandons him.
- A small town with all the quirky characters I expect from a small town romance.
- The Alaska setting - I am a sucker for an Alaskan setting and this one delivers.
- And finally the animals! Sarah Morgenthaler always has the best animals in her book. I mean moose, cats, dogs, and even a hedge hog! (I am in love with the hedge hog in the story.)

As far as steaminess goes this is a fade to black romance. I tend to like steam but I think there is enough sexual tension between Lana and Rick that I didn't really miss it.

So what are you waiting for - go get your copy today!

I really really really wanted to love this one. Especially after how hard I fell for Graham and Zoey in THE TOURIST ATTRACTION. But Rick and Lana as a couple just didn’t work for me.

Lana is a force of nature. She’s intelligent, driven, compassionate and goes after what she wants. Rick is just… nice? They just didn’t really have any chemistry and I had the hardest time wanting their HEA.

Is it bad that my favorite parts of the book were when Zoey and Graham were there with their adorable banter?

The quirkiness from THE TOURIST ATTRACTION is here again in MISTLETOE & MR. RIGHT and there were parts that left me giggling out loud. Like the taxidermy squirrels. And the tranquilizer gun plus spiked eggnog.

That being said, I’m incredibly excited for Easton’s love story in ENJOY THE VIEW and will be returning to Moose Springs, Alaska for more of this quirky town we’ve come to love.

Moose Springs, Alaska – Present Day

The citizens of Moose Springs do not like socialite Lana Montgomery because she is rich, and they are suspicious of her ideas to make their lives better. How can someone who didn’t grow up in a small Alaskan town tell them what to do differently? But one person in town does like Lana: bar owner Rick Harding. He has watched Lana try to blend in as she flits around town suggesting and bringing about changes. Right now, she is determined to find—and tranquilize—a marauding moose that is destroying Christmas decorations. Lana is intrigued by Rick. He is stoic and quiet, plus he will always step in to help others, including her. After some time spent together talking to each other, feelings develop. But Lana is on a short leash with her family as they want her to leave Moose Springs by the end of December to get back to “family” business matters. Can she bear to leave Rick and their fledging romance behind? Do they have anything to offer one another—besides love?

Christmas is approaching and Lana is gunning for a moose playing hide and seek in MISTLETOE AND MR. RIGHT by Sarah Morgenthaler. Yes, this book will definitely tickle your funny bone and make you smile. Lana is all business when it comes to Moose Springs. She works for her family’s corporation and has been overseeing the building of condos while living there. Her family is making noises about wanting Lana to return to Chicago and concentrate on other projects. But she loves living in Alaska and promises she won’t leave until she catches the moose, while secretly she wants to stick around to see the town transformed into one that is more vibrant and making money. Right now, very few tourists visit. Lana wants to change that. Or is it because Rick has caught her eye? They have spent many nights chatting in the bar, and he’s easy to talk to, as well as being easy on the eye.

Rick has been somewhat bitter over his divorce. He did just about everything to keep his wife, but in the end, she wasn’t satisfied and moved on. Rick must admit that living in Alaska isn’t for everyone. It’s cold and isolated, plus you must deal with wild animals, such as the moose that’s been terrorizing Christmas decorations in Moose Springs. Lana claims she likes staying in Moose Springs, but how soon will the novelty wear off and she hightails it back to Chicago? As their feelings for each other heighten, maybe a Christmas fling is in order to “scratch the itch.” Yet, the attraction they have for each other appears to be deeper than just a temporary fling.

There is plenty of fun and hijinks galore in MISTLETOE AND MR. RIGHT, the second book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series. The townspeople are a quirky bunch who love their town and view Lana with suspicion. Will she commercialize their town and destroy it? Lana insists that won’t happen, but can they trust her? If you love a cute, funny, and entertaining holiday romance, then be sure to put MISTLETOE AND MR. RIGHT at the top of your to-buy list.

After I finished The Tourist Attraction earlier this year, I knew that I had to read the rest of this series! I loved being able to 'catch up' with Zoey and Graham in this book and get to know Lana and Rick better also.

Unfortunately, I had a harder time getting into this one. It took me a while to warm up to Lana. And I was not feeling the instant chemistry and sparks like I did the previous book in this series. Rick did not feel like the usual male love interest and all that made it harder for me to rooting for the unlikely pairing. I did eventually like them together and was happy with the ending. They were actually a good fit after they talked thru all their baggage.

I may have struggled some with Lana's overuse of 'dearest', but her character had a quite a hard shell that took some work to peel the layers back. Once they were, I grew to really like her. And I also appreciated Rick's relationship with Deigo, I thought that added a little something extra to the story and showed more of who Rick really was.

I enjoyed the shenanigans that the Santa Moose brought about, especially the unfortunate incident that involved some spiked egg nog and a tranquilizer gun! And the date gone wrong was also pretty funny! Those squirrels would have creeped me out too!!

I did enjoy the sense of community and family among everyone in Moose Springs. That town truly sticks together, and Lana's desire to help them all really warmed my heart. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series about Easton and also hoping that Killian will make an appearance again!

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca for my copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

5 stars!! It was just what I needed, a little Christmas in September. I love this author, she's quickly becoming a favorite of mine!! Ugh, I want nothing more than to invade the small town of Moose Springs that Morgenthater has created. Mistletoe and Mr. Right: the story of the how the moose (almost) stole Christmas.
Lana Montgomery is everything the quirky small town of Moose Springs can't stand: a rich socialite with dreams of changing things for the better. But Lana's determined to prove that she belongs...even if it means trading her stilettos for snow boots and tracking one of the town's hairiest Christmas mysteries: the Santa Moose, an antlered Grinch hell-bent on destroying every bit of holiday cheer it can sink its teeth into. And really...how hard could it be?
The last few years have been tough on Rick Harding, and it's not getting any easier now that his dream girl's back in town. When Lana accidentally tranquilizes him instead of the Santa Moose, it's clear she needs help, fast...and this could be his chance to finally catch her eye. It's an all-out Christmas war, but if they can nab that darn moose before it destroys the town, Rick and Lana might finally find a place where they both belong...together.

What is great about these books is that while they are a series, they can totally be read as standalones. THIS BOOK IS JUST SO CUTE, and yet, there is a theme around loneliness that both our characters struggle with that I related to deeply. I had to pause for a moment while reading a couple of these scenes where Lana quietly dives into her own feelings that left me realizing I wasn't so alone in mine. Deep for a romantic comedy right? And comedy there was. A Christmas hating moose, penis snow art, tranq darts, and plenty of spiked eggnog. And can we just acknowledge that Morgenthaler masterfully creates men who have quirky animals they dote on? Cause that's a huge selling point for me (he must love animals). Ugh, love them. All of the characters from the first book are in here once again and it was so fun to revisit them. They are such a fun cast of characters. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Lana and what she's all about. In the first book she came off as distant if not kind of a lack friend while Zoe struggled to keep her vacation together, but in here we learn just how much she values those friendships and connections. She truly wants to save Moose Springs for the better; ready to carve a home out for herself. Rick is such a sweety!! Shy and quiet, it was so fun to read from his POV, to learn about his past and the way he lives a quiet life in Moose Springs.
I can hardly wait for Easton's book to come out I am so excited.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right was an adorable rom com book that I enjoyed. I loved The Tourist Attraction and was excited to head back to Moose Springs to see the familiar characters. This was a fun and light book. It is book two so it’s helpful to read book one but it could be a standalone book. I love a good rom com set during Christmas. A fun read that had me laughing out loud. Recommended for those that enjoyed Beach Read. Thank you to Sourcebooks and Netgalley for my advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

A Christmas Book !!! I adored this book just as much as The Tourist Attraction. Moose Springs is such a cool place in Alaska...the setting of this book is so descriptive I can literally smell the scents through the pages and see the location so clearly in my mind. Lana and Rick come from 2 different worlds, but oh boy..do sparks fly among the snowy mountains! This novel encompassed much more than a cutesy rom-com on its own..such as love and acceptance...easy 5 stars

Christmas time is one of my time of the year so you can understand why I read this cute romance in the first place. It's a fun, romantic and festive story that did not disappoint me. I've found out this was the second book of a series after reading it and I didn't feel at all lost, or that I didn't know what was going on within the story.
The only pet-peeve of mine is how many times Lana uses the word "dearest". If you don't mind that, definitely give it a read!

With the state of the world, I just want to fast-forward to Christmas and the end of the year. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to read Mistletoe and Mr Right by Sarah Morgenthaler as an advanced copy – Sourcebooks basically brought Christmas early to my Kindle. Needless to say, I dove straight into it, and back into the small town of Moose Springs.

After reading (and adoring) The Tourist Attraction earlier this month, it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that I would be reading the rest of the Moose Springs series. Sarah Morgenthaler really nailed the whole small-town vibe – even from the first couple of pages, I could smell the reindeer dogs cooking in the Tourist Trap and see the snow on the mountains. If the Moose Springs series doesn’t make you want to visit Alaska, I don’t know what will. Her world building skills were strong – and her ability to build chemistry was even stronger.

In terms of the story itself, one of the major plotlines was about Lana fighting with her family over her controversial acquisition of most of the commercial properties in Moose Springs. Though she made the purchase with good intentions, she faced opposition from both the townspeople and the people on the board of her company. The biggest source of tension is her cousin Silas, who is vying to become the heir of their family’s company and to undermine Lana’s decisions at every turn. My one issue with this book was the lack of resolution of this family company drama – it was left very open ended. I’m hoping the next book tackles the resolution.

Lana is everything I look for in a leading lady – she was a strong bad ass with realistic flaws and a really good heart. Her main struggle throughout the book was trying to find a balance between her work life (and familial obligations) and her blooming romance with Moose Springs resident Rick. Honestly, what I liked most about this book was how well Rick and Lana fit together – they constantly supported each other, didn’t try to take more than the other was willing to give, and were generally very respectful of each other’s boundaries. Even their major conflicts were fueled by misguided attempts to do what was right for the other person. Their chemistry was off the charts, and they definitely gave Graham and Zoey a run for their money.

Mistletoe and Mr Right is perfect fare for this holiday season – reading it is like stepping in front of a fireplace after being out in the snow – it’s warm and cozy and perfect at the end of a long day. It’s a great follow up to The Tourist Attraction – and a great set up for the upcoming Enjoy the View. I can’t wait to read Easton’s love story (hello quiet gruff male lead) this January. 4/5

This was such a good book! It made me laugh and cry and sigh and dream.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right is the second book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series by Sarah Morgenthaler. It is Christmastime in the charming town, and Lana Montgomery wants a place to belong, but the residents in this small town can’t stand her. She is an ultra-rich woman who has bought land to build condos. The condos will bring money that will revive the town, but the townspeople don’t see it that way. During a town hall meeting, Lana volunteers to capture the elusive Santa Moose, Moose Springs’ very own Scrooge.

During a “hunt” one night, she accidently shoots a tranquilizer at Rick Harding, hitting him. Rick is a man who is alone except for his nephew. He is a man who owns a pool hall that is struggling to survive. He rescued Lana earlier in the summer after the town found out that she has purchased land and why.

The sparks fly as the two team up to catch the moose, but do they have enough gumption to continue and decide a relationship is worth any price? They are from two different worlds and on the surface, it seems like a relationship would never work. Do they have the bravery to open their hearts to a new and different dream?

This book made me look at my own dreams. It made me stop and think and realize that the dream of finding love and acceptance is everyone’s dream. The author really opened Lana’s heart and wrote what she was feeling.

I will definitely be recommending this book!

What a delightful book!!

I was so in the mood for something fun, romantic and festive and this did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this story and it was so good. The author had me laughing from the very first page and some scenes even brought a tear to my eye.

I loved the setting of Moose Springs in Alaska and I loved getting swept away there by the story. Rick and Lana were both such lovely characters and I rooted for them both so much. They both had walls up and knew loneliness, but found a way to come together and take a place in each other’s lives.

I realised when I started this that it was the second in the series, but I didn’t feel confused by anything and I will definitely be going back to read the first one! I loved this Christmassy read and I am so glad I chose to pick it up! It was such a fun, quirky read full of heart warming scenes that made me smile.

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

NetGalley Arc | Who knew that I'd be reading a Christmas book already? But, I *needed* this holiday spirit during a pandemic. If you are looking for a hilarious and sweet rom-com this season, pick up Mistletoe & Mr. Right.

I loved The Tourist Attraction, and while Mistletoe is the sequel, you don't need to read The Tourist Attraction first (but why not!). I literally laughed out loud at the B&B squirrel taxidermy and tranquilizer mishap scenes. The evil Santa Moose is a great plot, and of course, I enjoy the romance along with the tourists vs locals debate.

This book was, as expected, absolutely adorable. The second in the Moose Springs series, you don't have to have read The Tourist Trap (but you totally should anyway) to enjoy it. This book centers on Lana Montgomery, the wealthy socialite who's always smiling. I enjoyed being able to delve a bit into her life with the Montgomery group, which was vaguely hinted at in the first book. I'm a sucker for a heroine who's capable and good at her job, which Lana certainly is. It was really fun to get more insight into her character - her loneliness and doubt. Rick was fun, but not as interesting to me as Lana. I give Rick's pets and Santa Moose credit as delightful scene stealers. The romance is definitely closed-door rather than steamy, so if you're searching for a high heat level it isn't here. Moose Springs is a wonderful setting and this book is definitely festive and fun. Read it to get in the holiday spirit, or if you just want something light and fun.

This book was an absolute delight.

Though I haven't read the first book in the series, I didn't feel at all lost, or that I didn't know what was going on within the story.

Lana loves to "run away" from Chicago, and spend all of her time in the charming Moose Springs, Alaska. Sadly for Lana, she isn't really the ideal small town type. When she ends up buying a part of town so that it doesn't become controlled by someone who would harm the town, she is made a pariah, and left on the outside of the town that she has fallen in love with.

Rick doesn't know what to do with his new budding feelings for the beautiful Lana. He is afraid of tying her down to this small town, when she is clearly meant for more. He doesn't have it in him to stay away from her either.

They grow closer and closer on their quest to catch the Santa Moose, who terrorizes this small town every year at the holidays. This leads to a charming Christmas story. It won me over, and now I want to check out the first book! I will be picking up more in this series for sure!
