I loved the full sized version of this book, but it's somehow even better in this small form for little hands! The illustrations are magnificent, with just the right amount of fascinating information on each page to get young minds interested, without being overwhelmed.

This would make a great addition to any young persons library, or a great baby shower gift to encourage a lifetime of adventures!

The Atlas series is a big favorite among the middle grade boys who live and breathe for facts and this one will be no exception.

This book has a crazy amount of detail both in the illustration and text! It's so full of information with descriptions and a lot of fun little facts. The illustrations are so well done that you could spend a very long time just looking at one country's pictures to look for what people are doing or even what's going on in the background. I really enjoyed this book, although it didn't capture my attention for long since it is mostly made up of little random facts; it's not something that makes you need to see what's coming up on the next page.

This is great! we're big fans of the atlas of adventure series in our house but this is perfect for the suitcase to keep little minds and hands active (ahem, and quiet!). Will definitely be recommending this alongside those 'dot to dots' and car crosswords books for small people!

Great Atlas and will be an excellent addition to the atlas collection in any classroom. Some colourful and interesting maps accompanied with some great facts! Can't wait to get my hands on a paper copy!

A great journey around all the continents in the world, plenty to keep a reader occupied. A bit disappointing that Scotland was portrayed with the stereotypical tartan & highland games but..... (I am Scottish). Nice range of information to keep young people, and especially those who find reading challenging, interested & willing to keep going. Nice comprehensive index.
For school I would probably buy the full size book rather than the travel edition.

I thought this was a great book for kids! They can glimpse all the amazing places our world has to offer and can inspire them to travel and experience new cultures.

Did you know that red foxes have whiskers on their feet? Or that people were skiing back in 4000 BC?

This beautiful little book is packed with lots of interesting facts and lovingly drawn illustrations of the four corners of the earth.
It’s a way to still explore the world and ‘travel’ now that many people can’t leave their home and a sure way to keep kids entertained.

I particularly loved the spreads about the Amazon, the Antarctic, and the Zambezi river. I also loved that there was a “can you find” section at the back of the book showing a particular animal, human(s) or building to search for on every page.

We really enjoy these little snippets of around the world non-fiction, but we liked the animal and ocean adventures ones slightly better than this one. The art was still lovely, and it's still one we enjoyed reading with/to our homeschooled 7 year old.

Atlas Of Adventure is a wonderful Non-Fiction book for children. It contains detailed, colourful illustrations and maps of the worlds continents. There is information on geography, animals, different cultures etc. At the end there is a 'spot the objects' challenge too. This book is fun and informative. My girls loved the format of this book. Instead of dividing the book up like I thought, we read it in big chunks. Great book to read straight through or come back to specific parts!

My trivia obsessed son and I have read several such books. So it was surprising, in a good way, that this book included some adventures that we did not know about. We especially liked the cherry blossom festival, the hot springs, the gauchos, the Waitangi Day and the view of the Amazon rainforest from the treetops.

The one problem I had (my son had no issues with this) was that the trivia is all over the page. It’s arranged artfully and looks like part of the picture. But what drove me batty was that like topics were not near each other. I have OCD and it aggravated me until I took the time to figure out in what order to read them all. Other than that nitpick, this is a great book for kids interested in travel or facts.

This is a WONDER of a book. Endlessly fascinating, utterly beautiful, and a real celebration of the incredible world we live in. This will be a go-to gift for curious children (and their grown-ups). One to dive into, dip into, and to enjoy over and over again.

The book consists of maps of various sight seeing places around the map. The vibrant and fun infographics in the book make the reading experience more vivid.

A pocket size visually appealing children’s atlas. A good selection of destinations from all over the world. Each place highlighted has bite size pieces of information that gives children just enough. A fun travel book that thanks to its size children can take with them if visiting these places in person. A great addition to a children's reference library.

Definitely picking up a copy of this book for my goddaughter! The Atlas of Adventures is a series of oversize hardcover children's books, crammed cover to cover with beautiful illustrations and geography-oriented fun facts and figures, designed to turn any kid into a curious world explorer. I wish I had these books growing up! This volume is probably my favorite because it is travel-themed. I may get more than one copy :)
