Three sisters try to find buried treasure after the death of their grandfather.

Cute and heartfelt adventure with themes of grief, growing up, determination, family, and believing in something. Would definitely recommend to my young readers.

Savannah, Frankie and Jolene Dare are saddened by the passing of their dearly loved grandfather. A devoted lifelong treasure hunter, their grandfather left behind one last quest for the girls to embark upon. Living on North Carolina's Ocracoke Island, naturally the girls' quest would involve Blackbeard's lost treasure, rumored to have been buried somewhere in a nearby park. Filled with intriguing codes, clues, and pirate legends, this story is a heartwarming tale of perseverance, teamwork and sisterhood. Will the girls be able to solve the mystery in time to prevent their grandfather's house from being sold? Find out in this adventurous tale, worthy of inclusion in any elementary library's fiction collection.
