This is a wonderful Christmas story about faith, love and believes. Two broken families are brought together by a young boy who asks santa to make is wish come true. You'll love how this all comes about and love is shared. Forgiveness is given and life is healed.

Sweet, jolly, and heartwarming!

Christmas on Reindeer Road is a charming, tender tale that takes us back to Highland Falls and into the life of the determined, kindhearted Mallory Maitland as she meanders through all sorts of highs and lows, from losing her husband, fighting for custody of her two stepsons, moving to a new town, starting a new job, and fighting the undeniable attraction she feels for her neighbour, the widowed chief of police, Gabriel Buchanan, who’s busy single-handedly raising three boys of his own.

The prose is light and smooth. The characters are focused, supportive, and compassionate. And the plot is an alluring tale about loss, life, love, family, friendship, community, parenthood, romance, wintery shenanigans, self-discovery, taking chances, and moving on.

Overall, Christmas on Reindeer Road is an amusing, uplifting, entertaining tale by Mason that is perfect for anyone who enjoys a holiday romance that is not only heartfelt but also exceptionally cute and funny.

Christmas on Reindeer Road is the second book in the Highland Falls series. This was such an amazing book, I laughed I cried and couldn't put the book down. This amazing book really put me in the holiday mood, and got me out of my dark mood from hurting constantly. I loved the chemistry between Mallory and Gabe, Teddy stole my heart. I would certainly recommend this beautiful read to everyone.

4.25 Hearts What a sweet story. This is a complicated family drama set in a small town ready for Christmas.

Mallory has a lot in her past like the death of her mom, foster care, married an older man, and more. But now she is responsible for her two step-sons and decides to move them to her hometown but they are not happy with it.

Gabriel is a single dad of three boys, twins and a younger boy who wants Santa to bring him a mom.

This is a great romance to get you into the Christmas/Holiday spirit. Teddy is too adorable for words and makes me long for my teenager to be a little one again and see Christmas through his eyes.

Christmas is a magical time of year. I love a good story to put me in the holiday mood. Debbie Mason does not disappoint in this wonderful story about two people who don't know they need love in their life.

Mallory is a widow with two step sons who need a little guidance and love. She thinks moving to Highland Falls will bring stability and closeness that these kids seem to be missing. Unfortunately the teens get in some trouble and put Mallory in a difficult position. Chief of police Gabriel Buchanan is just the person to help her or so he thinks. Having kids himself to raise since his wife died has been his entire focus until his mother-in-law keeps trying to gain custody. Thankfully his youngest Teddy provides some much needed magic in all their lives by hatching a plan to bring them together and have the best Christmas ever.

The author really tugs at the heart with grieving, forgiveness, guilt and love. She makes you feel how family is so important to each and every one of us, and the magic of Christmas can help you heal and bring love into your life.
I would definitely recommend this read for anyone who loves the magic of Christmas, and just a great romance to bring a little joy to your life.

Debbie Mason has created a sweet easy to read Christmas romance that is lighthearted and will bring happy tears to your eyes. This was a quick read for me, but I'm still thinking about the characters and their lives.

I enjoyed Debbie Mason's writing, it was full of a bit of everything, love, sadness, hope, joy, forgiveness, and humor. She painted a wonderful holly jolly Christmas for all of us to enjoy, and what's not to love about a small town at Christmas, not to mention a super sexy small-town Chief of Police?

I have found that our library patrons love a light romance. I think we have so many "heavy issues" in our life it is nice to escape in a nice holiday romance. Great book! I'm a sucker for a five-year-old matchmaker. I will look forward to Debbie Mason's next book. Thanks to Forever and NetGalley for the ARC.

I thought this was a really cute story, it will totally put you in the mood for the holidays that's for sure. With everything that's going on in the world right now this book was like a breathe of fresh air for sure. I loved Teddy omg what a huge personality that just shined off the pages and it was really hard not to just fall in love with him, Christmas through the eyes of a child. I loved Mallory she was a saint and just kept fighting for what she believed in. I really was not a huge fan of Gabriel he just was a bit of a jerk to me and I felt like Mallory just deserved better. There is talk of adult situations but never detailed. Overall this was a fun read and I could not put it down

Christmas on Reindeer Road will make even the biggest Scrooge laugh with delight! Mallory returns to her hometown of Highland Falls; this time with her two teenage stepsons. Her last visit was rather traumatic, as her interactions with Gabe, the not new police chief, left her reeling. Things start out similarly this time, but at least Gabe is on her side from the beginning this time!

A series of chaos ensues, as Mallory and Gabe’s youngest son Teddy try to instill the miracle of Christmas in their families’ hearts. The families on Reindeer Road and the residents of Highland Falls do a wonderful job of ushering in the holiday season!

I truly enjoyed the Christmas portion of this journey. Little Teddy was the star of this season with his tenacity and Teddy-Logic. He wanted to fix his family, that included fixing Mallory and her stepsons, and his Dad and brothers. That was the best feel-good, laugh out loud moments I found.
Gabe and Mallory, Idk, they just had no good luck, if it could go wrong it did, no backbone in either of them. There were some super serious issues mixed in, which had me fluxuating with my feelings on what this book was meant to be.
This small town setting did not give me the warm fuzzies. Dot and her gang were hateful old biddies, Gabe's in-laws needed to be shot, speaking of which, I have a very hard time coming to grips with a shotgun that could leave A flesh wound, and not a ton of buckshot scattered all over.
I think, for me, it would have been so much better not trying to add so much slap-stick comedy in, mixed with child custody issues, which brings up a whole other issue regarding Oliver and Brooks.
I rated it a four simply because Teddy was wiser than all the adults, he got his wishes, and the HEA was a good feeling.

A festive Christmas romance! This is a Brady Bunch style romance with two main characters with children. The writing is incredibly descriptive and has a flair for the dramatic, perfect for a Christmas book. At times a bit cheesy and over the top, but this is a Christmas book so I enjoyed it and expected no less. The characters are fantastic and full of personality. My thanks to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review.

Unfortunately I could not get into this book. It did not hold my interest. I read the first nine chapters and skimmed the rest.

This book is stole by a 5 almost 6 year old Teddy who is so cute, funny, smart, did I say cute kid you just wish he was yours! I read this as a standalone which I hate to do but you really can. I didn't know much aka went in blind and really enjoyed this story! It will get you in the holiday spirt and Teddy will lead the way!

Loved the lead characters and the kids- even when they were being teenage boys! Perfect Christmas book!

Overall, 4.5 (Holiday stars/snow) and 2.5 steam

“Christmas on Reindeer Road” by Debbie Mason is book two in the Highland Falls series. After the death of her husband, Mallory Maitland moves back to Highland Falls, NC with her two teenage stepsons. The boys are rebellious and unhappy having been uprooted from their friends in Atlanta and their mother, who unbeknownst to them, did not want to raise them. The boys spread rumors about how bad a stepmother Mallory is who is devastated by the accusations. Gabriel “Gabe” Buchanan is the chief of police, widowed with three boys of his own. He is required to bring in social services to ensure the welfare of the boys in Mallory’s care. Will Mallory be able to keep her guardianship of the boys she has grown to love? Or because she loves them, will she give them their desire to return to their boarding school overseas? This is a story about blended families and the difficulties they often experience. It is a heartwarming story about sacrifices family members make to be sure no one ever feels unloved.

Debbie Mason has knocked it out of the park with this one. I am not the type of person that obsessively watches Hallmark Christmas movies, and while I don’t dislike Christmas themed books, I don’t go out of my way to read them. But, I really liked the first book in the Highland Falls series, so I wanted to read this one right away!

Mallory is returning to live in Highland Falls with her 2 stepsons, who are not at all happy about it. They would much rather be going back to their boarding school in England, but their former stepmother, who is in charge of their deceased father’s estate will not pay for it, and has also decided that she does not want them.

Mallory is no stranger to not being wanted. After her mother died, her father drowned himself in the bottle, and she was taken away from him, and Highland Falls, and placed in foster care. She moves in next to a widower and his three boys, and tries to make the best of her new life.

I fell in love with the character Teddy, a precocious 5 year old who is extremely taken with the magic of Christmas. Mallory has a big heart, one that hasn’t been broken by all of the struggle and disappointments in her life.

I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for Highland Falls next. If you like Christmas stories, quirky characters in a small town, and a complicated romance, you will love this book as much as I did.

Christmas on Reindeer Road is the second book in Debbie Mason’s Highland Falls Series. Even though this is the second book in this series it can very well be read as a standalone. Ms. Mason wrote a wonderful story which drew me right in, making me forget everything else and did not let me go until I turned the last page. This is a very well written book with well-developed characters. Characters you can’t help but fall in love with. This book will bring you tears and also laughter. I was sad when this book ended and am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Christmas on Reindeer Road is the second book in the Highland Falls Series by Debbie Manson.
Mallory takes her two stepsons and moves back to her hometown of Highland Falls. The boys are not too excited about leaving their friends behind, but Mallory knows it will be the best thing for them. She moves into an adorable house on Reindeer Road. It needs some work, but she knows she can make it a comfortable home for her and the boys.
Gabe is the new town chief of police and he is raising his 3 young sons. And he is Mallory’s neighbor.
They had met the summer before when she was in town and he had arrested her.
They soon realize even with all the eyes of the town on them watching every move they make they have feelings for each other.
Having the Christmas season as the backdrop for the story makes for a fantastic read.
Thank you NetGalley, Debbie Mason, and Forever- Grand Central Publishing for the ARC of this beautiful story. This is my personal review in exchange for the ARC.
